ਮੇਰਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਛੋਡੀਐ ਭਾਈ ਹੋਈਐ ਸਭ ਕੀ ਧੂਰਿ ॥
मेरा तेरा छोडीऐ भाई होईऐ सभ की धूरि ॥
Merā ṯerā cẖẖodī▫ai bẖā▫ī ho▫ī▫ai sabẖ kī ḏẖūr.
Give up thy mine and thine and be thou the dust of the feet of all, O brother.

ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਪਸਾਰਿਆ ਭਾਈ ਪੇਖੈ ਸੁਣੈ ਹਜੂਰਿ ॥
घटि घटि ब्रहमु पसारिआ भाई पेखै सुणै हजूरि ॥
Gẖat gẖat barahm pasāri▫ā bẖā▫ī pekẖai suṇai hajūr.
Among all the hearts the Lord is contained and He sees and hears as if just close at hand.

ਜਿਤੁ ਦਿਨਿ ਵਿਸਰੈ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਭਾਈ ਤਿਤੁ ਦਿਨਿ ਮਰੀਐ ਝੂਰਿ ॥
जितु दिनि विसरै पारब्रहमु भाई तितु दिनि मरीऐ झूरि ॥
Jiṯ ḏin visrai pārbarahm bẖā▫ī ṯiṯ ḏin marī▫ai jẖūr.
The day one forgets the supreme Lord, O brother, that day one ought to die of repentance.

ਕਰਨ ਕਰਾਵਨ ਸਮਰਥੋ ਭਾਈ ਸਰਬ ਕਲਾ ਭਰਪੂਰਿ ॥੪॥
करन करावन समरथो भाई सरब कला भरपूरि ॥४॥
Karan karāvan samratho bẖā▫ī sarab kalā bẖarpūr. ||4||
The Lord is Omnipotent to do and to have done everything; He is possessed of all the powers. O brother.

ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਹੈ ਭਾਈ ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹ ਬਿਨਾਸੁ ॥
प्रेम पदारथु नामु है भाई माइआ मोह बिनासु ॥
Parem paḏārath nām hai bẖā▫ī mā▫i▫ā moh binās.
The Lord's love and Name is the wealth, through which man's attachment with mammon is dispelled.

ਤਿਸੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਾ ਮੇਲਿ ਲਏ ਭਾਈ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਨਾਮ ਨਿਵਾਸੁ ॥
तिसु भावै ता मेलि लए भाई हिरदै नाम निवासु ॥
Ŧis bẖāvai ṯā mel la▫e bẖā▫ī hirḏai nām nivās.
If He so wills, then unites He the man with Himself, and the Name abides within his mind, O brother.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਕਮਲੁ ਪ੍ਰਗਾਸੀਐ ਭਾਈ ਰਿਦੈ ਹੋਵੈ ਪਰਗਾਸੁ ॥
गुरमुखि कमलु प्रगासीऐ भाई रिदै होवै परगासु ॥
Gurmukẖ kamal pargāsī▫ai bẖā▫ī riḏai hovai pargās.
Through the Guru, the heart-lotus flowers and the Lord's light illumines the mind, O brother.

ਪ੍ਰਗਟੁ ਭਇਆ ਪਰਤਾਪੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਈ ਮਉਲਿਆ ਧਰਤਿ ਅਕਾਸੁ ॥੫॥
प्रगटु भइआ परतापु प्रभ भाई मउलिआ धरति अकासु ॥५॥
Pargat bẖa▫i▫ā parṯāp parabẖ bẖā▫ī ma▫oli▫ā ḏẖaraṯ akās. ||5||
The Lord's glory has become manifest and the earth and sky have blossomed, O brother.

ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਸੰਤੋਖਿਆ ਭਾਈ ਅਹਿਨਿਸਿ ਲਾਗਾ ਭਾਉ ॥
गुरि पूरै संतोखिआ भाई अहिनिसि लागा भाउ ॥
Gur pūrai sanṯokẖi▫ā bẖā▫ī ahinis lāgā bẖā▫o.
The Perfect Guru has blessed me with contentment and day and night, I remain attached with Lord's love.

ਰਸਨਾ ਰਾਮੁ ਰਵੈ ਸਦਾ ਭਾਈ ਸਾਚਾ ਸਾਦੁ ਸੁਆਉ ॥
रसना रामु रवै सदा भाई साचा सादु सुआउ ॥
Rasnā rām ravai saḏā bẖā▫ī sācẖā sāḏ su▫ā▫o.
My tongue ever utters the Lord's Name, O brother, and this alone is the true relish and object of human life.

ਕਰਨੀ ਸੁਣਿ ਸੁਣਿ ਜੀਵਿਆ ਭਾਈ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਥਾਉ ॥
करनी सुणि सुणि जीविआ भाई निहचलु पाइआ थाउ ॥
Karnī suṇ suṇ jīvi▫ā bẖā▫ī nihcẖal pā▫i▫ā thā▫o.
I live continually hearing with mine ears, the Lord's Name, O brother, and I have attained a permanent seat.

ਜਿਸੁ ਪਰਤੀਤਿ ਨ ਆਵਈ ਭਾਈ ਸੋ ਜੀਅੜਾ ਜਲਿ ਜਾਉ ॥੬॥
जिसु परतीति न आवई भाई सो जीअड़ा जलि जाउ ॥६॥
Jis parṯīṯ na āvī bẖā▫ī so jī▫aṛā jal jā▫o. ||6||
The soul, which reposes not faith in the Lord, may God, that soul be burnt down.

ਬਹੁ ਗੁਣ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਹਿਬੈ ਭਾਈ ਹਉ ਤਿਸ ਕੈ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਉ ॥
बहु गुण मेरे साहिबै भाई हउ तिस कै बलि जाउ ॥
Baho guṇ mere sāhibai bẖā▫ī ha▫o ṯis kai bal jā▫o.
Myriads of virtues are in my Lord, O brother and unto Him, I am a sacrifice.

ਓਹੁ ਨਿਰਗੁਣੀਆਰੇ ਪਾਲਦਾ ਭਾਈ ਦੇਇ ਨਿਥਾਵੇ ਥਾਉ ॥
ओहु निरगुणीआरे पालदा भाई देइ निथावे थाउ ॥
Oh nirguṇī▫āre pālḏā bẖā▫ī ḏe▫e nithāve thā▫o.
He nurtures even the meritless ones, O brother and gives shelter to the shelterless.

ਰਿਜਕੁ ਸੰਬਾਹੇ ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਭਾਈ ਗੂੜਾ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਨਾਉ ॥
रिजकु स्मबाहे सासि सासि भाई गूड़ा जा का नाउ ॥
Rijak sambāhe sās sās bẖā▫ī gūṛā jā kā nā▫o.
He, whose Name is everlasting, extends sustenance to us at every breath.

ਜਿਸੁ ਗੁਰੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਭੇਟੀਐ ਭਾਈ ਪੂਰਾ ਤਿਸੁ ਕਰਮਾਉ ॥੭॥
जिसु गुरु साचा भेटीऐ भाई पूरा तिसु करमाउ ॥७॥
Jis gur sācẖā bẖetī▫ai bẖā▫ī pūrā ṯis karmā▫o. ||7||
He, who meets with the True Guru, O brother perfect in his destiny.

ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਘੜੀ ਨ ਜੀਵੀਐ ਭਾਈ ਸਰਬ ਕਲਾ ਭਰਪੂਰਿ ॥
तिसु बिनु घड़ी न जीवीऐ भाई सरब कला भरपूरि ॥
Ŧis bin gẖaṛī na jīvī▫ai bẖā▫ī sarab kalā bẖarpūr.
I live not, even for a moment without Him, who is brimful with all the powers, O brother.

ਸਾਸਿ ਗਿਰਾਸਿ ਨ ਵਿਸਰੈ ਭਾਈ ਪੇਖਉ ਸਦਾ ਹਜੂਰਿ ॥
सासि गिरासि न विसरै भाई पेखउ सदा हजूरि ॥
Sās girās na visrai bẖā▫ī pekẖa▫o saḏā hajūr.
With no breath and morsel of mine I forget Him. O brother and I ever see the Lord just present.

ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗਿ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ਭਾਈ ਸਰਬ ਰਹਿਆ ਭਰਪੂਰਿ ॥
साधू संगि मिलाइआ भाई सरब रहिआ भरपूरि ॥
Sāḏẖū sang milā▫i▫ā bẖā▫ī sarab rahi▫ā bẖarpūr.
The saints society has make me meet Him, who is fully-pervading everywhere, O brother.

ਜਿਨਾ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਨ ਲਗੀਆ ਭਾਈ ਸੇ ਨਿਤ ਨਿਤ ਮਰਦੇ ਝੂਰਿ ॥੮॥
जिना प्रीति न लगीआ भाई से नित नित मरदे झूरि ॥८॥
Jinā parīṯ na lagī▫ā bẖā▫ī se niṯ niṯ marḏe jẖūr. ||8||
They, who imbibe not love for their Lord, ever and ever continue repeating, O brother.
|
ਅੰਚਲਿ ਲਾਇ ਤਰਾਇਆ ਭਾਈ ਭਉਜਲੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ॥
अंचलि लाइ तराइआ भाई भउजलु दुखु संसारु ॥
Ancẖal lā▫e ṯarā▫i▫ā bẖā▫ī bẖa▫ojal ḏukẖ sansār.
Attaching to His skirt, the Lord has ferried me across the world ocean of fear and pain.

ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਦਰਿ ਨਿਹਾਲਿਆ ਭਾਈ ਕੀਤੋਨੁ ਅੰਗੁ ਅਪਾਰੁ ॥
करि किरपा नदरि निहालिआ भाई कीतोनु अंगु अपारु ॥
Kar kirpā naḏar nihāli▫ā bẖā▫ī kīṯon ang apār.
By His gracious glance He has make me happy and He shall stand by me to the infinite end.

ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਸੀਤਲੁ ਹੋਇਆ ਭਾਈ ਭੋਜਨੁ ਨਾਮ ਅਧਾਰੁ ॥
मनु तनु सीतलु होइआ भाई भोजनु नाम अधारु ॥
Man ṯan sīṯal ho▫i▫ā bẖā▫ī bẖojan nām aḏẖār.
My soul and body are clamed down and they are sustained by the fare of the Name.

ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਸੁ ਸਰਣਾਗਤੀ ਭਾਈ ਜਿ ਕਿਲਬਿਖ ਕਾਟਣਹਾਰੁ ॥੯॥੧॥
नानक तिसु सरणागती भाई जि किलबिख काटणहारु ॥९॥१॥
Nānak ṯis sarṇāgaṯī bẖā▫ī jė kilbikẖ kātaṇhār. ||9||1||
Nanak has entered the sanctuary of Him, O brother, who is the Destroyer of sins.

ਮਾਤ ਗਰਭ ਦੁਖ ਸਾਗਰੋ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਤਹ ਅਪਣਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਾਇਆ ॥
मात गरभ दुख सागरो पिआरे तह अपणा नामु जपाइआ ॥
Māṯ garabẖ ḏukẖ sāgro pi▫āre ṯah apṇā nām japā▫i▫ā.
The mother's womb is an ocean of pains, O dear; there too, the Lord causes His Name to be repeated.

ਬਾਹਰਿ ਕਾਢਿ ਬਿਖੁ ਪਸਰੀਆ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹੁ ਵਧਾਇਆ ॥
बाहरि काढि बिखु पसरीआ पिआरे माइआ मोहु वधाइआ ॥
Bāhar kādẖ bikẖ pasrī▫ā pi▫āre mā▫i▫ā moh vaḏẖā▫i▫ā.
Emerging out, his evil passions develop, O and his love for worldly valuables increases.

ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਕੀਤੋ ਕਰਮੁ ਆਪਿ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਤਿਸੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ॥
जिस नो कीतो करमु आपि पिआरे तिसु पूरा गुरू मिलाइआ ॥
Jis no kīṯo karam āp pi▫āre ṯis pūrā gurū milā▫i▫ā.
He, to whom thou Thyself hast shown favour, him, thou hast causes to meet the Perfect Guru, O my Beloved.

ਸੋ ਆਰਾਧੇ ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇਆ ॥੧॥
सो आराधे सासि सासि पिआरे राम नाम लिव लाइआ ॥१॥
So ārāḏẖe sās sās pi▫āre rām nām liv lā▫i▫ā. ||1||
He then remembers his God at every breath and comes to enshrine love for the Lord's Name.

ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਤੇਰੀ ਟੇਕ ਹੈ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਤੇਰੀ ਟੇਕ ॥
मनि तनि तेरी टेक है पिआरे मनि तनि तेरी टेक ॥
Man ṯan ṯerī tek hai pi▫āre man ṯan ṯerī tek.
O Beloved, Thou art the mainstay of my soul and body, Thou art the mainstay of my soul and body.

ਤੁਧੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕਰਨਹਾਰੁ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਏਕ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
तुधु बिनु अवरु न करनहारु पिआरे अंतरजामी एक ॥ रहाउ ॥
Ŧuḏẖ bin avar na karanhār pi▫āre anṯarjāmī ek. Rahā▫o.
Without Thee, there is not another Creator and Thou alone art the knower of hearts. Pause.

ਕੋਟਿ ਜਨਮ ਭ੍ਰਮਿ ਆਇਆ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਅਨਿਕ ਜੋਨਿ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਇ ॥
कोटि जनम भ्रमि आइआ पिआरे अनिक जोनि दुखु पाइ ॥
Kot janam bẖaram ā▫i▫ā pi▫āre anik jon ḏukẖ pā▫e.
The mortal comes into the world, O my Beloved, after wandering in myriads of births and suffering pain in various existences.

ਸਾਚਾ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਵਿਸਰਿਆ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਬਹੁਤੀ ਮਿਲੈ ਸਜਾਇ ॥
साचा साहिबु विसरिआ पिआरे बहुती मिलै सजाइ ॥
Sācẖā sāhib visri▫ā pi▫āre bahuṯī milai sajā▫e.
He forgets the True Lord, O dear and so suffers heavy punishment.

ਜਿਨ ਭੇਟੈ ਪੂਰਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਸੇ ਲਾਗੇ ਸਾਚੈ ਨਾਇ ॥
जिन भेटै पूरा सतिगुरू पिआरे से लागे साचै नाइ ॥
Jin bẖetai pūrā saṯgurū pi▫āre se lāge sācẖai nā▫e.
They, who meet with the Perfect True Guru, O dear, are attached to the True Name.
