Atal bacẖan Nānak gur ṯerā safal kar masṯak ḏẖāri▫ā. ||2||21||49||
Your Word is eternal, O Guru Nanak; You placed Your Hand of blessing upon my forehead. ||2||21||49||

ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ੍ਰ ਸਭਿ ਤਿਸ ਕੇ ਕੀਏ ਸੋਈ ਸੰਤ ਸਹਾਈ ॥
जीअ जंत्र सभि तिस के कीए सोई संत सहाई ॥
Jī▫a janṯar sabẖ ṯis ke kī▫e so▫ī sanṯ sahā▫ī.
All beings and creatures were created by Him; He alone is the support and friend of the Saints.

ਅਪੁਨੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਕੀ ਆਪੇ ਰਾਖੈ ਪੂਰਨ ਭਈ ਬਡਾਈ ॥੧॥
अपुने सेवक की आपे राखै पूरन भई बडाई ॥१॥
Apune sevak kī āpe rākẖai pūran bẖa▫ī badā▫ī. ||1||
He Himself preserves the honor of His servants; their glorious greatness becomes perfect. ||1||
|
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਮੇਰੈ ਨਾਲਿ ॥
पारब्रहमु पूरा मेरै नालि ॥
Pārbarahm pūrā merai nāl.
The Perfect Supreme Lord God is always with me.
|
ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਪੂਰੀ ਸਭ ਰਾਖੀ ਹੋਏ ਸਰਬ ਦਇਆਲ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
गुरि पूरै पूरी सभ राखी होए सरब दइआल ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Gur pūrai pūrī sabẖ rākẖī ho▫e sarab ḏa▫i▫āl. ||1|| rahā▫o.
The Perfect Guru has perfectly and totally protected me, and now everyone is kind and compassionate to me. ||1||Pause||

ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਏ ਜੀਅ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਕਾ ਦਾਤਾ ॥
अनदिनु नानकु नामु धिआए जीअ प्रान का दाता ॥
An▫ḏin Nānak nām ḏẖi▫ā▫e jī▫a parān kā ḏāṯā.
Night and day, Nanak meditates on the Naam, the Name of the Lord; He is the Giver of the soul, and the breath of life itself.

ਅਪੁਨੇ ਦਾਸ ਕਉ ਕੰਠਿ ਲਾਇ ਰਾਖੈ ਜਿਉ ਬਾਰਿਕ ਪਿਤ ਮਾਤਾ ॥੨॥੨੨॥੫੦॥
अपुने दास कउ कंठि लाइ राखै जिउ बारिक पित माता ॥२॥२२॥५०॥
Apune ḏās ka▫o kanṯẖ lā▫e rākẖai ji▫o bārik piṯ māṯā. ||2||22||50||
He hugs His slave close in His loving embrace, like the mother and father hug their child. ||2||22||50||

Soraṯẖ mėhlā 5 gẖar 3 cẖa▫upḏe
Sorat'h, Fifth Mehl, Third House, Chau-Padas:

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥
Ik▫oaʼnkār saṯgur parsāḏ.
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਮਿਲਿ ਪੰਚਹੁ ਨਹੀ ਸਹਸਾ ਚੁਕਾਇਆ ॥
मिलि पंचहु नही सहसा चुकाइआ ॥
Mil pancẖahu nahī sahsā cẖukā▫i▫ā.
Meeting with the council, my doubts were not dispelled.
|
ਸਿਕਦਾਰਹੁ ਨਹ ਪਤੀਆਇਆ ॥
सिकदारहु नह पतीआइआ ॥
Sikḏārahu nah paṯī▫ā▫i▫ā.
The chiefs did not give me satisfaction.
|
ਉਮਰਾਵਹੁ ਆਗੈ ਝੇਰਾ ॥
उमरावहु आगै झेरा ॥
Umrāvahu āgai jẖerā.
I presented my dispute to the noblemen as well.
|
ਮਿਲਿ ਰਾਜਨ ਰਾਮ ਨਿਬੇਰਾ ॥੧॥
मिलि राजन राम निबेरा ॥१॥
Mil rājan rām niberā. ||1||
But it was only settled by meeting with the King, my Lord. ||1||
|
ਅਬ ਢੂਢਨ ਕਤਹੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥
अब ढूढन कतहु न जाई ॥
Ab dẖūdẖan kaṯahu na jā▫ī.
Now, I do not go searching anywhere else,
|
ਗੋਬਿਦ ਭੇਟੇ ਗੁਰ ਗੋਸਾਈ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
गोबिद भेटे गुर गोसाई ॥ रहाउ ॥
Gobiḏ bẖete gur gosā▫ī. Rahā▫o.
because I have met the Guru, the Lord of the Universe. ||Pause||

ਆਇਆ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦਰਬਾਰਾ ॥
आइआ प्रभ दरबारा ॥
Ā▫i▫ā parabẖ ḏarbārā.
When I came to God's Darbaar, His Holy Court,
|
ਤਾ ਸਗਲੀ ਮਿਟੀ ਪੂਕਾਰਾ ॥
ता सगली मिटी पूकारा ॥
Ŧā saglī mitī pūkārā.
then all of my cries and complaints were settled.
|
ਲਬਧਿ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਾਈ ॥
लबधि आपणी पाई ॥
Labaḏẖ āpṇī pā▫ī.
Now that I have attained what I had sought,
|
ਤਾ ਕਤ ਆਵੈ ਕਤ ਜਾਈ ॥੨॥
ता कत आवै कत जाई ॥२॥
Ŧā kaṯ āvai kaṯ jā▫ī. ||2||
where should I come and where should I go? ||2||
|
ਤਹ ਸਾਚ ਨਿਆਇ ਨਿਬੇਰਾ ॥
तह साच निआइ निबेरा ॥
Ŧah sācẖ ni▫ā▫e niberā.
There, true justice is administered.
|
ਊਹਾ ਸਮ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਸਮ ਚੇਰਾ ॥
ऊहा सम ठाकुरु सम चेरा ॥
Ūhā sam ṯẖākur sam cẖerā.
There, the Lord Master and His disciple are one and the same.
|
ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਜਾਨੈ ॥
अंतरजामी जानै ॥
Anṯarjāmī jānai.
The Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts, knows.
|
ਬਿਨੁ ਬੋਲਤ ਆਪਿ ਪਛਾਨੈ ॥੩॥
बिनु बोलत आपि पछानै ॥३॥
Bin bolaṯ āp pacẖẖānai. ||3||
Without our speaking, He understands. ||3||
|
ਸਰਬ ਥਾਨ ਕੋ ਰਾਜਾ ॥
सरब थान को राजा ॥
Sarab thān ko rājā.
He is the King of all places.
|
ਤਹ ਅਨਹਦ ਸਬਦ ਅਗਾਜਾ ॥
तह अनहद सबद अगाजा ॥
Ŧah anhaḏ sabaḏ agājā.
There, the unstruck melody of the Shabad resounds.
|
ਤਿਸੁ ਪਹਿ ਕਿਆ ਚਤੁਰਾਈ ॥
तिसु पहि किआ चतुराई ॥
Ŧis pėh ki▫ā cẖaṯurā▫ī.
Of what use is cleverness when dealing with Him?
|
ਮਿਲੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਆਪੁ ਗਵਾਈ ॥੪॥੧॥੫੧॥
मिलु नानक आपु गवाई ॥४॥१॥५१॥
Mil Nānak āp gavā▫ī. ||4||1||51||
Meeting with Him, O Nanak, one loses his self-conceit. ||4||1||51||

Sorat'h, Fifth Mehl:

ਹਿਰਦੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਸਾਇਹੁ ॥
हिरदै नामु वसाइहु ॥
Hirḏai nām vasā▫iho.
Enshrine the Naam, the Name of the Lord, within your heart;
|
ਘਰਿ ਬੈਠੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਧਿਆਇਹੁ ॥
घरि बैठे गुरू धिआइहु ॥
Gẖar baiṯẖe gurū ḏẖi▫ā▫iho.
sitting within your own home, meditate on the Guru.
|
ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਸਚੁ ਕਹਿਆ ॥
गुरि पूरै सचु कहिआ ॥
Gur pūrai sacẖ kahi▫ā.
The Perfect Guru has spoken the Truth;
|
ਸੋ ਸੁਖੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਲਹਿਆ ॥੧॥
सो सुखु साचा लहिआ ॥१॥
So sukẖ sācẖā lahi▫ā. ||1||
the True Peace is obtained only from the Lord. ||1||
|
ਅਪੁਨਾ ਹੋਇਓ ਗੁਰੁ ਮਿਹਰਵਾਨਾ ॥
अपुना होइओ गुरु मिहरवाना ॥
Apunā ho▫i▫o gur miharvānā.
My Guru has become merciful.
|
ਅਨਦ ਸੂਖ ਕਲਿਆਣ ਮੰਗਲ ਸਿਉ ਘਰਿ ਆਏ ਕਰਿ ਇਸਨਾਨਾ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
अनद सूख कलिआण मंगल सिउ घरि आए करि इसनाना ॥ रहाउ ॥
Anaḏ sūkẖ kali▫āṇ mangal si▫o gẖar ā▫e kar isnānā. Rahā▫o.
In bliss, peace, pleasure and joy, I have returned to my own home, after my purifying bath. ||Pause||

ਸਾਚੀ ਗੁਰ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥
साची गुर वडिआई ॥
Sācẖī gur vadi▫ā▫ī.
True is the glorious greatness of the Guru;
|
ਤਾ ਕੀ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਹਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥
ता की कीमति कहणु न जाई ॥
Ŧā kī kīmaṯ kahaṇ na jā▫ī.
His worth cannot be described.
|
ਸਿਰਿ ਸਾਹਾ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹਾ ॥
सिरि साहा पातिसाहा ॥
Sir sāhā pāṯisāhā.
He is the Supreme Overlord of kings.
|
ਗੁਰ ਭੇਟਤ ਮਨਿ ਓਮਾਹਾ ॥੨॥
गुर भेटत मनि ओमाहा ॥२॥
Gur bẖetaṯ man omāhā. ||2||
Meeting with the Guru, the mind is enraptured. ||2||
|
ਸਗਲ ਪਰਾਛਤ ਲਾਥੇ ॥
सगल पराछत लाथे ॥
Sagal parācẖẖaṯ lāthe.
All sins are washed away,
|
ਮਿਲਿ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਕੈ ਸਾਥੇ ॥
मिलि साधसंगति कै साथे ॥
Mil sāḏẖsangaṯ kai sāthe.
meeting with the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.
|
ਗੁਣ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਾ ॥
गुण निधान हरि नामा ॥
Guṇ niḏẖān har nāmā.
The Lord's Name is the treasure of excellence;
|
ਜਪਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਏ ਕਾਮਾ ॥੩॥
जपि पूरन होए कामा ॥३॥
Jap pūran ho▫e kāmā. ||3||
chanting it, one's affairs are perfectly resolved. ||3||
|
ਗੁਰਿ ਕੀਨੋ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਦੁਆਰਾ ॥
गुरि कीनो मुकति दुआरा ॥
Gur kīno mukaṯ ḏu▫ārā.
The Guru has opened the door of liberation,
|
ਸਭ ਸ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਕਰੈ ਜੈਕਾਰਾ ॥
सभ स्रिसटि करै जैकारा ॥
Sabẖ sarisat karai jaikārā.
and the entire world applauds Him with cheers of victory.
|
ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮੇਰੈ ਸਾਥੇ ॥
नानक प्रभु मेरै साथे ॥
Nānak parabẖ merai sāthe.
O Nanak, God is always with me;
|
ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਭੈ ਲਾਥੇ ॥੪॥੨॥੫੨॥
जनम मरण भै लाथे ॥४॥२॥५२॥
Janam maraṇ bẖai lāthe. ||4||2||52||
my fears of birth and death are gone. ||4||2||52||

ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰੀ ॥
गुरि पूरै किरपा धारी ॥
Gur pūrai kirpā ḏẖārī.
The Perfect Guru has granted His Grace,
|
ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਪੂਰੀ ਲੋਚ ਹਮਾਰੀ ॥
प्रभि पूरी लोच हमारी ॥
Parabẖ pūrī locẖ hamārī.
and God has fulfilled my desire.
|
ਕਰਿ ਇਸਨਾਨੁ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿ ਆਏ ॥
करि इसनानु ग्रिहि आए ॥
Kar isnān garihi ā▫e.
After taking my bath of purification, I returned to my home,
|
ਅਨਦ ਮੰਗਲ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਏ ॥੧॥
अनद मंगल सुख पाए ॥१॥
Anaḏ mangal sukẖ pā▫e. ||1||
and I found bliss, happiness and peace. ||1||
|
ਸੰਤਹੁ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮਿ ਨਿਸਤਰੀਐ ॥
संतहु राम नामि निसतरीऐ ॥
Sanṯahu rām nām nisṯarī▫ai.
O Saints, salvation comes from the Lord's Name.
|
ਊਠਤ ਬੈਠਤ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਈਐ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਸੁਕ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਕਰੀਐ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ऊठत बैठत हरि हरि धिआईऐ अनदिनु सुक्रितु करीऐ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Ūṯẖaṯ baiṯẖaṯ har har ḏẖi▫ā▫ī▫ai an▫ḏin sukariṯ karī▫ai. ||1|| rahā▫o.
While standing up and sitting down, meditate on the Lord's Name. Night and day, do good deeds. ||1||Pause||
