ਸਨਕ ਸਨੰਦਨ ਨਾਰਦ ਮੁਨਿ ਸੇਵਹਿ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਜਪਤ ਰਹਹਿ ਬਨਵਾਰੀ ॥
सनक सनंदन नारद मुनि सेवहि अनदिनु जपत रहहि बनवारी ॥
Sanak sananḏan nāraḏ mun sevėh an▫ḏin japaṯ rahėh banvārī.
Sanak, Sanandan and Naarad the sage serve You; night and day, they continue to chant Your Name, O Lord of the jungle.

ਸਰਣਾਗਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਹਲਾਦ ਜਨ ਆਏ ਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਪੈਜ ਸਵਾਰੀ ॥੨॥
सरणागति प्रहलाद जन आए तिन की पैज सवारी ॥२॥
Sarṇāgaṯ parahlāḏ jan ā▫e ṯin kī paij savārī. ||2||
Slave Prahlaad sought Your Sanctuary, and You saved his honor. ||2||

ਅਲਖ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ ਏਕੋ ਵਰਤੈ ਏਕਾ ਜੋਤਿ ਮੁਰਾਰੀ ॥
अलख निरंजनु एको वरतै एका जोति मुरारी ॥
Alakẖ niranjan eko varṯai ekā joṯ murārī.
The One unseen immaculate Lord is pervading everywhere, as is the Light of the Lord.

ਸਭਿ ਜਾਚਿਕ ਤੂ ਏਕੋ ਦਾਤਾ ਮਾਗਹਿ ਹਾਥ ਪਸਾਰੀ ॥੩॥
सभि जाचिक तू एको दाता मागहि हाथ पसारी ॥३॥
Sabẖ jācẖik ṯū eko ḏāṯā māgėh hāth pasārī. ||3||
All are beggars, You alone are the Great Giver. Reaching out our hands, we beg from You. ||3||

ਭਗਤ ਜਨਾ ਕੀ ਊਤਮ ਬਾਣੀ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਅਕਥ ਕਥਾ ਨਿਤ ਨਿਆਰੀ ॥
भगत जना की ऊतम बाणी गावहि अकथ कथा नित निआरी ॥
Bẖagaṯ janā kī ūṯam baṇī gāvahi akath kathā niṯ ni▫ārī.
The speech of the humble devotees is sublime; they sing continually the wondrous, Unspoken Speech of the Lord.

ਸਫਲ ਜਨਮੁ ਭਇਆ ਤਿਨ ਕੇਰਾ ਆਪਿ ਤਰੇ ਕੁਲ ਤਾਰੀ ॥੪॥
सफल जनमु भइआ तिन केरा आपि तरे कुल तारी ॥४॥
Safal janam bẖa▫i▫ā ṯin kerā āp ṯare kul ṯārī. ||4||
Their lives become fruitful; they save themselves, and all their generations. ||4||

ਮਨਮੁਖ ਦੁਬਿਧਾ ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਬਿਆਪੇ ਜਿਨ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਮੋਹ ਗੁਬਾਰੀ ॥
मनमुख दुबिधा दुरमति बिआपे जिन अंतरि मोह गुबारी ॥
Manmukẖ ḏubiḏẖā ḏurmaṯ bi▫āpe jin anṯar moh gubārī.
The self-willed manmukhs are engrossed in duality and evil-mindedness; within them is the darkness of attachment.

ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਕੀ ਕਥਾ ਨ ਭਾਵੈ ਓਇ ਡੂਬੇ ਸਣੁ ਪਰਵਾਰੀ ॥੫॥
संत जना की कथा न भावै ओइ डूबे सणु परवारी ॥५॥
Sanṯ janā kī kathā na bẖāvai o▫e dūbe saṇ parvārī. ||5||
They do not love the sermon of the humble Saints, and they are drowned along with their families. ||5||
|
ਨਿੰਦਕੁ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਕਰਿ ਮਲੁ ਧੋਵੈ ਓਹੁ ਮਲਭਖੁ ਮਾਇਆਧਾਰੀ ॥
निंदकु निंदा करि मलु धोवै ओहु मलभखु माइआधारी ॥
Ninḏak ninḏā kar mal ḏẖovai oh malbẖakẖ mā▫i▫āḏẖārī.
By slandering, the slanderer washes the filth off others; he is an eater of filth, and a worshipper of Maya.

ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਕੀ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਵਿਆਪੇ ਨਾ ਉਰਵਾਰਿ ਨ ਪਾਰੀ ॥੬॥
संत जना की निंदा विआपे ना उरवारि न पारी ॥६॥
Sanṯ janā kī ninḏā vi▫āpe nā urvār na pārī. ||6||
He indulges in the slander of the humble Saints; he is neither on this shore, nor the shore beyond. ||6||

ਏਹੁ ਪਰਪੰਚੁ ਖੇਲੁ ਕੀਆ ਸਭੁ ਕਰਤੈ ਹਰਿ ਕਰਤੈ ਸਭ ਕਲ ਧਾਰੀ ॥
एहु परपंचु खेलु कीआ सभु करतै हरि करतै सभ कल धारी ॥
Ėhu parpancẖ kẖel kī▫ā sabẖ karṯai har karṯai sabẖ kal ḏẖārī.
All this worldly drama is set in motion by the Creator Lord; He has infused His almighty strength into all.

ਹਰਿ ਏਕੋ ਸੂਤੁ ਵਰਤੈ ਜੁਗ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸੂਤੁ ਖਿੰਚੈ ਏਕੰਕਾਰੀ ॥੭॥
हरि एको सूतु वरतै जुग अंतरि सूतु खिंचै एकंकारी ॥७॥
Har eko sūṯ varṯai jug anṯar sūṯ kẖincẖai ekankārī. ||7||
The thread of the One Lord runs through the world; when He pulls out this thread, the One Creator alone remains. ||7||

ਰਸਨਿ ਰਸਨਿ ਰਸਿ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਰਸਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਧਾਰੀ ॥
रसनि रसनि रसि गावहि हरि गुण रसना हरि रसु धारी ॥
Rasan rasan ras gāvahi har guṇ rasnā har ras ḏẖārī.
With their tongues, they sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, and savor Them. They place the sublime essence of the Lord upon their tongues, and savor it.

ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਮਾਗਉ ਹਰਿ ਰਸ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਪਿਆਰੀ ॥੮॥੧॥੭॥
नानक हरि बिनु अवरु न मागउ हरि रस प्रीति पिआरी ॥८॥१॥७॥
Nānak har bin avar na māga▫o har ras parīṯ pi▫ārī. ||8||1||7||
O Nanak, other than the Lord, I ask for nothing else; I am in love with the Love of the Lord's sublime essence. ||8||1||7||

राजन महि तूं राजा कहीअहि भूमन महि भूमा ॥
Rājan mėh ṯūʼn rājā kahī▫ahi bẖūman mėh bẖūmā.
Among kings, You are called the King. Among land-lords, You are the Land-lord.

ਠਾਕੁਰ ਮਹਿ ਠਕੁਰਾਈ ਤੇਰੀ ਕੋਮਨ ਸਿਰਿ ਕੋਮਾ ॥੧॥
ठाकुर महि ठकुराई तेरी कोमन सिरि कोमा ॥१॥
Ŧẖākur mėh ṯẖakurā▫ī ṯerī koman sir komā. ||1||
Among masters, You are the Master. Among tribes, Yours is the Supreme Tribe. ||1||
|
ਪਿਤਾ ਮੇਰੋ ਬਡੋ ਧਨੀ ਅਗਮਾ ॥
पिता मेरो बडो धनी अगमा ॥
Piṯā mero bado ḏẖanī agmā.
My Father is wealthy, deep and profound.

ਉਸਤਤਿ ਕਵਨ ਕਰੀਜੈ ਕਰਤੇ ਪੇਖਿ ਰਹੇ ਬਿਸਮਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
उसतति कवन करीजै करते पेखि रहे बिसमा ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Usṯaṯ kavan karījai karṯe pekẖ rahe bismā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
What praises should I chant, O Creator Lord? Beholding You, I am wonder-struck. ||1||Pause||

ਸੁਖੀਅਨ ਮਹਿ ਸੁਖੀਆ ਤੂੰ ਕਹੀਅਹਿ ਦਾਤਨ ਸਿਰਿ ਦਾਤਾ ॥
सुखीअन महि सुखीआ तूं कहीअहि दातन सिरि दाता ॥
Sukẖī▫an mėh sukẖī▫ā ṯūʼn kahī▫ahi ḏāṯan sir ḏāṯā.
Among the peaceful, You are called the Peaceful One. Among givers, You are the Greatest Giver.

ਤੇਜਨ ਮਹਿ ਤੇਜਵੰਸੀ ਕਹੀਅਹਿ ਰਸੀਅਨ ਮਹਿ ਰਾਤਾ ॥੨॥
तेजन महि तेजवंसी कहीअहि रसीअन महि राता ॥२॥
Ŧejan mėh ṯejvansī kahī▫ahi rasī▫an mėh rāṯā. ||2||
Among the glorious, You are said to be the Most Glorious. Among revelers, You are the Reveller. ||2||

ਸੂਰਨ ਮਹਿ ਸੂਰਾ ਤੂੰ ਕਹੀਅਹਿ ਭੋਗਨ ਮਹਿ ਭੋਗੀ ॥
सूरन महि सूरा तूं कहीअहि भोगन महि भोगी ॥
Sūran mėh sūrā ṯūʼn kahī▫ahi bẖogan mėh bẖogī.
Among warriors, You are called the Warrior. Among indulgers, You are the Indulger.

ਗ੍ਰਸਤਨ ਮਹਿ ਤੂੰ ਬਡੋ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਸਤੀ ਜੋਗਨ ਮਹਿ ਜੋਗੀ ॥੩॥
ग्रसतन महि तूं बडो ग्रिहसती जोगन महि जोगी ॥३॥
Garasṯan mėh ṯūʼn bado garihsaṯī jogan mėh jogī. ||3||
Among householders, You are the Great Householder. Among yogis, You are the Yogi. ||3||

ਕਰਤਨ ਮਹਿ ਤੂੰ ਕਰਤਾ ਕਹੀਅਹਿ ਆਚਾਰਨ ਮਹਿ ਆਚਾਰੀ ॥
करतन महि तूं करता कहीअहि आचारन महि आचारी ॥
Karṯan mėh ṯūʼn karṯā kahī▫ahi ācẖāran mėh ācẖārī.
Among creators, You are called the Creator. Among the cultured, You are the Cultured One.

ਸਾਹਨ ਮਹਿ ਤੂੰ ਸਾਚਾ ਸਾਹਾ ਵਾਪਾਰਨ ਮਹਿ ਵਾਪਾਰੀ ॥੪॥
साहन महि तूं साचा साहा वापारन महि वापारी ॥४॥
Sāhan mėh ṯūʼn sācẖā sāhā vāpāran mėh vāpārī. ||4||
Among bankers, You are the True Banker. Among merchants, You are the Merchant. ||4||
|
ਦਰਬਾਰਨ ਮਹਿ ਤੇਰੋ ਦਰਬਾਰਾ ਸਰਨ ਪਾਲਨ ਟੀਕਾ ॥
दरबारन महि तेरो दरबारा सरन पालन टीका ॥
Ḏarbāran mėh ṯero ḏarbārā saran pālan tīkā.
Among courts, Yours is the Court. Yours is the Most Sublime of Sanctuaries.

ਲਖਿਮੀ ਕੇਤਕ ਗਨੀ ਨ ਜਾਈਐ ਗਨਿ ਨ ਸਕਉ ਸੀਕਾ ॥੫॥
लखिमी केतक गनी न जाईऐ गनि न सकउ सीका ॥५॥
Lakẖimī keṯak ganī na jā▫ī▫ai gan na saka▫o sīkā. ||5||
The extent of Your wealth cannot be determined. Your Coins cannot be counted. ||5||
|
ਨਾਮਨ ਮਹਿ ਤੇਰੋ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਨਾਮਾ ਗਿਆਨਨ ਮਹਿ ਗਿਆਨੀ ॥
नामन महि तेरो प्रभ नामा गिआनन महि गिआनी ॥
Nāman mėh ṯero parabẖ nāmā gi▫ānan mėh gi▫ānī.
Among names, Your Name, God, is the most respected. Among the wise, You are the Wisest.

ਜੁਗਤਨ ਮਹਿ ਤੇਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜੁਗਤਾ ਇਸਨਾਨਨ ਮਹਿ ਇਸਨਾਨੀ ॥੬॥
जुगतन महि तेरी प्रभ जुगता इसनानन महि इसनानी ॥६॥
Jugṯan mėh ṯerī parabẖ jugṯā isnānan mėh isnānī. ||6||
Among ways, Yours, God, is the Best Way. Among purifying baths, Yours is the Most Purifying. ||6||
|
ਸਿਧਨ ਮਹਿ ਤੇਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਿਧਾ ਕਰਮਨ ਸਿਰਿ ਕਰਮਾ ॥
सिधन महि तेरी प्रभ सिधा करमन सिरि करमा ॥
Siḏẖan mėh ṯerī parabẖ siḏẖā karman sir karmā.
Among spiritual powers, Yours, O God, are the Spiritual Powers. Among actions, Yours are the Greatest Actions.

ਆਗਿਆ ਮਹਿ ਤੇਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਆਗਿਆ ਹੁਕਮਨ ਸਿਰਿ ਹੁਕਮਾ ॥੭॥
आगिआ महि तेरी प्रभ आगिआ हुकमन सिरि हुकमा ॥७॥
Āgi▫ā mėh ṯerī parabẖ āgi▫ā hukman sir hukmā. ||7||
Among wills, Your Will, God, is the Supreme Will. Of commands, Yours is the Supreme Command. ||7||
