ਮੁੰਧੇ ਕੂੜਿ ਮੁਠੀ ਕੂੜਿਆਰਿ ॥
Munḋʰé kooṛ mutʰee kooṛi▫aar.
O woman, the false ones are being cheated by falsehood.

ਪਿਰੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਪਾਈਐ ਗੁਰ ਬੀਚਾਰਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Pir parabʰ saachaa sohṇaa paa▫ee▫æ gur beechaar. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
God is your Husband; He is Handsome and True. He is obtained by reflecting upon the Guru. ||1||Pause||

ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਕੰਤੁ ਨ ਪਛਾਣਈ ਤਿਨ ਕਿਉ ਰੈਣਿ ਵਿਹਾਇ ॥
Manmukʰ kanṫ na pachʰaaṇ▫ee ṫin ki▫o ræṇ vihaa▫é.
The self-willed Manmukhs do not recognize their Husband Lord; how will they spend their life-night?

ਗਰਬਿ ਅਟੀਆ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਜਲਹਿ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ॥
Garab atee▫aa ṫarisnaa jalėh ḋukʰ paavahi ḋoojæ bʰaa▫é.
Filled with arrogance, they burn with desire; they suffer in the pain of the love of duality.

ਸਬਦਿ ਰਤੀਆ ਸੋਹਾਗਣੀ ਤਿਨ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਹਉਮੈ ਜਾਇ ॥
Sabaḋ raṫee▫aa sohaagaṇee ṫin vichahu ha▫umæ jaa▫é.
The happy soul-brides are attuned to the Shabad; their egotism is eliminated from within.

ਸਦਾ ਪਿਰੁ ਰਾਵਹਿ ਆਪਣਾ ਤਿਨਾ ਸੁਖੇ ਸੁਖਿ ਵਿਹਾਇ ॥੨॥
Saḋaa pir raavėh aapṇaa ṫinaa sukʰé sukʰ vihaa▫é. ||2||
They enjoy their Husband Lord forever, and their life-night passes in the most blissful peace. ||2||
|
ਗਿਆਨ ਵਿਹੂਣੀ ਪਿਰ ਮੁਤੀਆ ਪਿਰਮੁ ਨ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾਇ ॥
Gi▫aan vihooṇee pir muṫee▫aa piram na paa▫i▫aa jaa▫é.
She is utterly lacking in spiritual wisdom; she is abandoned by her Husband Lord. She cannot obtain His Love.

ਅਗਿਆਨ ਮਤੀ ਅੰਧੇਰੁ ਹੈ ਬਿਨੁ ਪਿਰ ਦੇਖੇ ਭੁਖ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥
Agi▫aan maṫee anḋʰér hæ bin pir ḋékʰé bʰukʰ na jaa▫é.
In the darkness of intellectual ignorance, she cannot see her Husband, and her hunger does not depart.

ਆਵਹੁ ਮਿਲਹੁ ਸਹੇਲੀਹੋ ਮੈ ਪਿਰੁ ਦੇਹੁ ਮਿਲਾਇ ॥
Aavhu milhu sahéleeho mæ pir ḋéh milaa▫é.
Come and meet with me, my sister soul-brides, and unite me with my Husband.

ਪੂਰੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਪਿਰੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਸਚਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੩॥
Pooræ bʰaag saṫgur milæ pir paa▫i▫aa sach samaa▫é. ||3||
She who meets the True Guru, by perfect good fortune, finds her Husband; she is absorbed in the True One. ||3||
|
ਸੇ ਸਹੀਆ ਸੋਹਾਗਣੀ ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇਇ ॥
Sé sahee▫aa sohaagaṇee jin ka▫o naḋar karé▫i.
Those upon whom He casts His Glance of Grace become His happy soul-brides.

ਖਸਮੁ ਪਛਾਣਹਿ ਆਪਣਾ ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਆਗੈ ਦੇਇ ॥
Kʰasam pachʰaaṇėh aapṇaa ṫan man aagæ ḋé▫é.
One who recognizes her Lord and Master places her body and mind in offering before Him.

ਘਰਿ ਵਰੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਆਪਣਾ ਹਉਮੈ ਦੂਰਿ ਕਰੇਇ ॥
Gʰar var paa▫i▫aa aapṇaa ha▫umæ ḋoor karé▫i.
Within her own home, she finds her Husband Lord; her egotism is dispelled.

ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋਭਾਵੰਤੀਆ ਸੋਹਾਗਣੀ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰੇਇ ॥੪॥੨੮॥੬੧॥
Naanak sobʰaavanṫee▫aa sohaagaṇee an▫ḋin bʰagaṫ karé▫i. ||4||28||61||
O Nanak! The happy soul-brides are embellished and exalted; night and day they are absorbed in devotional worship. ||4||28||61||

ਇਕਿ ਪਿਰੁ ਰਾਵਹਿ ਆਪਣਾ ਹਉ ਕੈ ਦਰਿ ਪੂਛਉ ਜਾਇ ॥
Ik pir raavėh aapṇaa ha▫o kæ ḋar poochʰa▫o jaa▫é.
Some enjoy their Husband Lord; unto whose door should I go to ask for Him?

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵੀ ਭਾਉ ਕਰਿ ਮੈ ਪਿਰੁ ਦੇਹੁ ਮਿਲਾਇ ॥
Saṫgur sévee bʰaa▫o kar mæ pir ḋéh milaa▫é.
I serve my True Guru with love, that He may lead me to Union with my Husband Lord.

ਸਭੁ ਉਪਾਏ ਆਪੇ ਵੇਖੈ ਕਿਸੁ ਨੇੜੈ ਕਿਸੁ ਦੂਰਿ ॥
Sabʰ upaa▫é aapé vékʰæ kis néṛæ kis ḋoor.
He created all, and He Himself watches over us. Some are close to Him, and some are far away.

ਜਿਨਿ ਪਿਰੁ ਸੰਗੇ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਪਿਰੁ ਰਾਵੇ ਸਦਾ ਹਦੂਰਿ ॥੧॥
Jin pir sangé jaaṇi▫aa pir raavé saḋaa haḋoor. ||1||
She who knows her Husband Lord to be always with her, enjoys His Constant Presence. ||1||
|
ਮੁੰਧੇ ਤੂ ਚਲੁ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਭਾਇ ॥
Munḋʰé ṫoo chal gur kæ bʰaa▫é.
O woman, you must walk in harmony with the Guru’s Will.
|
ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਵਹਿ ਪਿਰੁ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਹਜੇ ਸਚਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
An▫ḋin raavėh pir aapṇaa sėhjé sach samaa▫é. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
Night and day, you shall enjoy your Husband, and you shall intuitively merge into the True One. ||1||Pause||

ਸਬਦਿ ਰਤੀਆ ਸੋਹਾਗਣੀ ਸਚੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਸੀਗਾਰਿ ॥
Sabaḋ raṫee▫aa sohaagaṇee sachæ sabaḋ seegaar.
Attuned to the Shabad, the happy soul-brides are adorned with the True Word of the Shabad.

ਹਰਿ ਵਰੁ ਪਾਇਨਿ ਘਰਿ ਆਪਣੈ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਹੇਤਿ ਪਿਆਰਿ ॥
Har var paa▫in gʰar aapṇæ gur kæ héṫ pi▫aar.
Within their own home, they obtain the Lord as their Husband, with love for the Guru.

ਸੇਜ ਸੁਹਾਵੀ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਵੈ ਭਗਤਿ ਭਰੇ ਭੰਡਾਰ ॥
Séj suhaavee har rang ravæ bʰagaṫ bʰaré bʰandaar.
Upon her beautiful and cozy bed, she enjoys the Love of her Lord. She is overflowing with the treasure of devotion.

ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮੁ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਜਿ ਸਭਸੈ ਦੇਇ ਅਧਾਰੁ ॥੨॥
So parabʰ pareeṫam man vasæ jė sabʰsæ ḋé▫é aḋʰaar. ||2||
That Beloved God abides in her mind; He gives His Support to all. ||2||
|
ਪਿਰੁ ਸਾਲਾਹਨਿ ਆਪਣਾ ਤਿਨ ਕੈ ਹਉ ਸਦ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੈ ਜਾਉ ॥
Pir saalaahan aapṇaa ṫin kæ ha▫o saḋ balihaaræ jaa▫o.
I am forever a sacrifice to those who praise their Husband Lord.

ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਅਰਪੀ ਸਿਰੁ ਦੇਈ ਤਿਨ ਕੈ ਲਾਗਾ ਪਾਇ ॥
Man ṫan arpee sir ḋé▫ee ṫin kæ laagaa paa▫é.
I dedicate my mind and body to them, and give my head as well; I fall at their feet.

ਜਿਨੀ ਇਕੁ ਪਛਾਣਿਆ ਦੂਜਾ ਭਾਉ ਚੁਕਾਇ ॥
Jinee ik pachʰaaṇi▫aa ḋoojaa bʰaa▫o chukaa▫é.
Those who recognize the One renounce the love of duality.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਛਾਣੀਐ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਚਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੩॥੨੯॥੬੨॥
Gurmukʰ naam pachʰaaṇee▫æ Naanak sach samaa▫é. ||3||29||62||
The Gurmukh recognizes the Naam, O Nanak! And is absorbed into the True One. ||3||29||62||

ਹਰਿ ਜੀ ਸਚਾ ਸਚੁ ਤੂ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਤੇਰੈ ਚੀਰੈ ॥
Har jee sachaa sach ṫoo sabʰ kichʰ ṫéræ cheeræ.
O Dear Lord, You are the Truest of the True. All things are in Your Power.

ਲਖ ਚਉਰਾਸੀਹ ਤਰਸਦੇ ਫਿਰੇ ਬਿਨੁ ਗੁਰ ਭੇਟੇ ਪੀਰੈ ॥
Lakʰ cha▫oraaseeh ṫarasḋé firé bin gur bʰété peeræ.
The 8.4 million species of beings wander around searching for You, but without the Guru, they do not find You.

ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਬਖਸੇ ਬਖਸਿ ਲਏ ਸੂਖ ਸਦਾ ਸਰੀਰੈ ॥
Har jee▫o bakʰsé bakʰas la▫é sookʰ saḋaa sareeræ.
When the Dear Lord grants His Forgiveness, this human body finds lasting peace.

ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਸੇਵ ਕਰੀ ਸਚੁ ਗਹਿਰ ਗੰਭੀਰੈ ॥੧॥
Gur parsaadee sév karee sach gahir gambʰeeræ. ||1||
By Guru’s Grace, I serve the True One, who is Immeasurably Deep and Profound. ||1||
|
ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਮਿ ਰਤੇ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਇ ॥
Man méré naam raṫé sukʰ ho▫é.
O my mind! Attuned to the Naam, you shall find peace.
|
ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਲਾਹੀਐ ਦੂਜਾ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Gurmaṫee naam salaahee▫æ ḋoojaa avar na ko▫é. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
Follow the Guru’s Teachings, and praise the Naam; there is no other at all. ||1||Pause||

ਧਰਮ ਰਾਇ ਨੋ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਹੈ ਬਹਿ ਸਚਾ ਧਰਮੁ ਬੀਚਾਰਿ ॥
Ḋʰaram raa▫é no hukam hæ bahi sachaa ḋʰaram beechaar.
The Righteous Judge of Dharma, by the Hukam of God’s Command, sits and administers True Justice.

ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ਦੁਸਟੁ ਆਤਮਾ ਓਹੁ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ॥
Ḋoojæ bʰaa▫é ḋusat aaṫmaa oh ṫéree sarkaar.
Those evil souls, ensnared by the love of duality, are subject to Your Command.

ਅਧਿਆਤਮੀ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਤਾਸੁ ਮਨਿ ਜਪਹਿ ਏਕੁ ਮੁਰਾਰਿ ॥
Aḋʰi▫aaṫmee har guṇ ṫaas man jaapėh ék muraar.
The souls on their spiritual journey chant and meditate within their minds on the One Lord, the Treasure of Excellence.
