ਸਹਜੇ ਦੁਬਿਧਾ ਤਨ ਕੀ ਨਾਸੀ
सहजे दुबिधा तन की नासी ॥
Sėhje ḏubiḏẖā ṯan kī nāsī.
In peace, their bodies' duality is eliminated.

ਜਾ ਕੈ ਸਹਜਿ ਮਨਿ ਭਇਆ ਅਨੰਦੁ
जा कै सहजि मनि भइआ अनंदु ॥
Jā kai sahj man bẖa▫i▫ā anand.
Bliss comes naturally to their minds.

ਤਾ ਕਉ ਭੇਟਿਆ ਪਰਮਾਨੰਦੁ ॥੫॥
ता कउ भेटिआ परमानंदु ॥५॥
Ŧā ka▫o bẖeti▫ā parmānanḏ. ||5||
They meet the Lord, the Embodiment of Supreme Bliss. ||5||

ਸਹਜੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪੀਓ ਨਾਮੁ
सहजे अम्रितु पीओ नामु ॥
Sėhje amriṯ pī▫o nām.
In peaceful poise, they drink in the Ambrosial Nectar of the Naam, the Name of the Lord.

ਸਹਜੇ ਕੀਨੋ ਜੀਅ ਕੋ ਦਾਨੁ
सहजे कीनो जीअ को दानु ॥
Sėhje kīno jī▫a ko ḏān.
In peace and poise, they give to the poor.

ਸਹਜ ਕਥਾ ਮਹਿ ਆਤਮੁ ਰਸਿਆ
सहज कथा महि आतमु रसिआ ॥
Sahj kathā mėh āṯam rasi▫ā.
Their souls naturally delight in the Lord's Sermon.

ਤਾ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਵਸਿਆ ॥੬॥
ता कै संगि अबिनासी वसिआ ॥६॥
Ŧā kai sang abẖināsī vasi▫ā. ||6||
The Imperishable Lord abides with them. ||6||

ਸਹਜੇ ਆਸਣੁ ਅਸਥਿਰੁ ਭਾਇਆ
सहजे आसणु असथिरु भाइआ ॥
Sėhje āsaṇ asthir bẖā▫i▫ā.
In peace and poise, they assume the unchanging position.

ਸਹਜੇ ਅਨਹਤ ਸਬਦੁ ਵਜਾਇਆ
सहजे अनहत सबदु वजाइआ ॥
Sėhje anhaṯ sabaḏ vajā▫i▫ā.
In peace and poise, the unstruck vibration of the Shabad resounds.

ਸਹਜੇ ਰੁਣ ਝੁਣਕਾਰੁ ਸੁਹਾਇਆ
सहजे रुण झुणकारु सुहाइआ ॥
Sėhje ruṇ jẖuṇkār suhā▫i▫ā.
In peace and poise, the celestial bells resound.

ਤਾ ਕੈ ਘਰਿ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਸਮਾਇਆ ॥੭॥
ता कै घरि पारब्रहमु समाइआ ॥७॥
Ŧā kai gẖar pārbarahm samā▫i▫ā. ||7||
Within their homes, the Supreme Lord God is pervading. ||7||

ਸਹਜੇ ਜਾ ਕਉ ਪਰਿਓ ਕਰਮਾ
सहजे जा कउ परिओ करमा ॥
Sėhje jā ka▫o pari▫o karmā.
With intuitive ease, they meet the Lord, according to their karma.

ਸਹਜੇ ਗੁਰੁ ਭੇਟਿਓ ਸਚੁ ਧਰਮਾ
सहजे गुरु भेटिओ सचु धरमा ॥
Sėhje gur bẖeti▫o sacẖ ḏẖarmā.
With intuitive ease, they meet with the Guru, in the true Dharma.

ਜਾ ਕੈ ਸਹਜੁ ਭਇਆ ਸੋ ਜਾਣੈ
जा कै सहजु भइआ सो जाणै ॥
Jā kai sahj bẖa▫i▫ā so jāṇai.
Those who know, attain the poise of intuitive peace.

ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਤਾ ਕੈ ਕੁਰਬਾਣੈ ॥੮॥੩॥
नानक दास ता कै कुरबाणै ॥८॥३॥
Nānak ḏās ṯā kai kurbāṇai. ||8||3||
Slave Nanak is a sacrifice to them. ||8||3||

ਗਉੜੀ ਮਹਲਾ
गउड़ी महला ५ ॥
Ga▫oṛī mėhlā 5.
Gauree, Fifth Mehl:

ਪ੍ਰਥਮੇ ਗਰਭ ਵਾਸ ਤੇ ਟਰਿਆ
प्रथमे गरभ वास ते टरिआ ॥
Parathme garabẖ vās ṯe tari▫ā.
First, they come forth from the womb.

ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਕਲਤ੍ਰ ਕੁਟੰਬ ਸੰਗਿ ਜੁਰਿਆ
पुत्र कलत्र कुट्मब संगि जुरिआ ॥
Puṯar kalṯar kutamb sang juri▫ā.
They become attached to their children, spouses and families.

ਭੋਜਨੁ ਅਨਿਕ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਬਹੁ ਕਪਰੇ
भोजनु अनिक प्रकार बहु कपरे ॥
Bẖojan anik parkār baho kapre.
The foods of various sorts and appearances,

ਸਰਪਰ ਗਵਨੁ ਕਰਹਿਗੇ ਬਪੁਰੇ ॥੧॥
सरपर गवनु करहिगे बपुरे ॥१॥
Sarpar gavan karhige bapure. ||1||
will surely pass away, O wretched mortal! ||1||

ਕਵਨੁ ਅਸਥਾਨੁ ਜੋ ਕਬਹੁ ਟਰੈ
कवनु असथानु जो कबहु न टरै ॥
Kavan asthān jo kabahu na tarai.
What is that place which never perishes?

ਕਵਨੁ ਸਬਦੁ ਜਿਤੁ ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਹਰੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
कवनु सबदु जितु दुरमति हरै ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Kavan sabaḏ jiṯ ḏurmaṯ harai. ||1|| rahā▫o.
What is that Word by which the dirt of the mind is removed? ||1||Pause||

ਇੰਦ੍ਰ ਪੁਰੀ ਮਹਿ ਸਰਪਰ ਮਰਣਾ
इंद्र पुरी महि सरपर मरणा ॥
Inḏar purī mėh sarpar marṇā.
In the Realm of Indra, death is sure and certain.

ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪੁਰੀ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਨਹੀ ਰਹਣਾ
ब्रहम पुरी निहचलु नही रहणा ॥
Barahm purī nihcẖal nahī rahṇā.
The Realm of Brahma shall not remain permanent.

ਸਿਵ ਪੁਰੀ ਕਾ ਹੋਇਗਾ ਕਾਲਾ
सिव पुरी का होइगा काला ॥
Siv purī kā ho▫igā kālā.
The Realm of Shiva shall also perish.

ਤ੍ਰੈ ਗੁਣ ਮਾਇਆ ਬਿਨਸਿ ਬਿਤਾਲਾ ॥੨॥
त्रै गुण माइआ बिनसि बिताला ॥२॥
Ŧarai guṇ mā▫i▫ā binas biṯālā. ||2||
The three dispositions, Maya and the demons shall vanish. ||2||

ਗਿਰਿ ਤਰ ਧਰਣਿ ਗਗਨ ਅਰੁ ਤਾਰੇ
गिरि तर धरणि गगन अरु तारे ॥
Gir ṯar ḏẖaraṇ gagan ar ṯāre.
The mountains, the trees, the earth, the sky and the stars;

ਰਵਿ ਸਸਿ ਪਵਣੁ ਪਾਵਕੁ ਨੀਰਾਰੇ
रवि ससि पवणु पावकु नीरारे ॥
Rav sas pavaṇ pāvak nīrāre.
the sun, the moon, the wind, water and fire;

ਦਿਨਸੁ ਰੈਣਿ ਬਰਤ ਅਰੁ ਭੇਦਾ
दिनसु रैणि बरत अरु भेदा ॥
Ḏinas raiṇ baraṯ ar bẖeḏā.
day and night, fasting days and their determination;

ਸਾਸਤ ਸਿੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਬਿਨਸਹਿਗੇ ਬੇਦਾ ॥੩॥
सासत सिम्रिति बिनसहिगे बेदा ॥३॥
Sāsaṯ simriṯ binashige beḏā. ||3||
the Shaastras, the Simritees and the Vedas shall pass away. ||3||

ਤੀਰਥ ਦੇਵ ਦੇਹੁਰਾ ਪੋਥੀ
तीरथ देव देहुरा पोथी ॥
Ŧirath ḏev ḏehurā pothī.
The sacred shrines of pilgrimage, gods, temples and holy books;

ਮਾਲਾ ਤਿਲਕੁ ਸੋਚ ਪਾਕ ਹੋਤੀ
माला तिलकु सोच पाक होती ॥
Mālā ṯilak socẖ pāk hoṯī.
rosaries, ceremonial tilak marks on the forehead, meditative people, the pure, and the performers of burnt offerings;

ਧੋਤੀ ਡੰਡਉਤਿ ਪਰਸਾਦਨ ਭੋਗਾ
धोती डंडउति परसादन भोगा ॥
Ḏẖoṯī dand▫uṯ parsāḏan bẖogā.
wearing loin cloths, bowing in reverence and the enjoyment of sacred foods -

ਗਵਨੁ ਕਰੈਗੋ ਸਗਲੋ ਲੋਗਾ ॥੪॥
गवनु करैगो सगलो लोगा ॥४॥
Gavan karaigo saglo logā. ||4||
all these, and all people, shall pass away. ||4||

ਜਾਤਿ ਵਰਨ ਤੁਰਕ ਅਰੁ ਹਿੰਦੂ
जाति वरन तुरक अरु हिंदू ॥
Jāṯ varan ṯurak ar hinḏū.
Social classes, races, Muslims and Hindus;

ਪਸੁ ਪੰਖੀ ਅਨਿਕ ਜੋਨਿ ਜਿੰਦੂ
पसु पंखी अनिक जोनि जिंदू ॥
Pas pankẖī anik jon jinḏū.
beasts, birds and the many varieties of beings and creatures;

ਸਗਲ ਪਾਸਾਰੁ ਦੀਸੈ ਪਾਸਾਰਾ
सगल पासारु दीसै पासारा ॥
Sagal pāsār ḏīsai pāsārā.
the entire world and the visible universe -

ਬਿਨਸਿ ਜਾਇਗੋ ਸਗਲ ਆਕਾਰਾ ॥੫॥
बिनसि जाइगो सगल आकारा ॥५॥
Binas jā▫igo sagal ākārā. ||5||
all forms of existence shall pass away. ||5||

ਸਹਜ ਸਿਫਤਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਤਤੁ ਗਿਆਨਾ
सहज सिफति भगति ततु गिआना ॥
Sahj sifaṯ bẖagaṯ ṯaṯ gi▫ānā.
Through the Praises of the Lord, devotional worship, spiritual wisdom and the essence of reality,

ਸਦਾ ਅਨੰਦੁ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਸਚੁ ਥਾਨਾ
सदा अनंदु निहचलु सचु थाना ॥
Saḏā anand nihcẖal sacẖ thānā.
eternal bliss and the imperishable true place are obtained.

ਤਹਾ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਸਾਧ ਗੁਣ ਰਸੈ
तहा संगति साध गुण रसै ॥
Ŧahā sangaṯ sāḏẖ guṇ rasai.
There, in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, the Lord's Glorious Praises are sung with love.

ਅਨਭਉ ਨਗਰੁ ਤਹਾ ਸਦ ਵਸੈ ॥੬॥
अनभउ नगरु तहा सद वसै ॥६॥
Anbẖa▫o nagar ṯahā saḏ vasai. ||6||
There, in the city of fearlessness, He dwells forever. ||6||

ਤਹ ਭਉ ਭਰਮਾ ਸੋਗੁ ਚਿੰਤਾ
तह भउ भरमा सोगु न चिंता ॥
Ŧah bẖa▫o bẖarmā sog na cẖinṯā.
There is no fear, doubt, suffering or anxiety there;

ਆਵਣੁ ਜਾਵਣੁ ਮਿਰਤੁ ਹੋਤਾ
आवणु जावणु मिरतु न होता ॥
Āvaṇ jāvaṇ miraṯ na hoṯā.
there is no coming or going, and no death there.

ਤਹ ਸਦਾ ਅਨੰਦ ਅਨਹਤ ਆਖਾਰੇ
तह सदा अनंद अनहत आखारे ॥
Ŧah saḏā anand anhaṯ ākẖāre.
There is eternal bliss, and the unstruck celestial music there.

ਭਗਤ ਵਸਹਿ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਆਧਾਰੇ ॥੭॥
भगत वसहि कीरतन आधारे ॥७॥
Bẖagaṯ vasėh kīrṯan āḏẖāre. ||7||
The devotees dwell there, with the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises as their support. ||7||

ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਕਾ ਅੰਤੁ ਪਾਰੁ
पारब्रहम का अंतु न पारु ॥
Pārbarahm kā anṯ na pār.
There is no end or limitation to the Supreme Lord God.

ਕਉਣੁ ਕਰੈ ਤਾ ਕਾ ਬੀਚਾਰੁ
कउणु करै ता का बीचारु ॥
Ka▫uṇ karai ṯā kā bīcẖār.
Who can embrace His contemplation?

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿਸੁ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰੈ
कहु नानक जिसु किरपा करै ॥
Kaho Nānak jis kirpā karai.
Says Nanak, when the Lord showers His Mercy,

ਨਿਹਚਲ ਥਾਨੁ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਤਰੈ ॥੮॥੪॥
निहचल थानु साधसंगि तरै ॥८॥४॥
Nihcẖal thān sāḏẖsang ṯarai. ||8||4||
the imperishable home is obtained; in the Saadh Sangat, you shall be saved. ||8||4||

ਗਉੜੀ ਮਹਲਾ
गउड़ी महला ५ ॥
Ga▫oṛī mėhlā 5.
Gauree, Fifth Mehl:

ਜੋ ਇਸੁ ਮਾਰੇ ਸੋਈ ਸੂਰਾ
जो इसु मारे सोई सूरा ॥
Jo is māre so▫ī sūrā.
One who kills this is a spiritual hero.

ਜੋ ਇਸੁ ਮਾਰੇ ਸੋਈ ਪੂਰਾ
जो इसु मारे सोई पूरा ॥
Jo is māre so▫ī pūrā.
One who kills this is perfect.

ਜੋ ਇਸੁ ਮਾਰੇ ਤਿਸਹਿ ਵਡਿਆਈ
जो इसु मारे तिसहि वडिआई ॥
Jo is māre ṯisėh vadi▫ā▫ī.
One who kills this obtains glorious greatness.

ਜੋ ਇਸੁ ਮਾਰੇ ਤਿਸ ਕਾ ਦੁਖੁ ਜਾਈ ॥੧॥
जो इसु मारे तिस का दुखु जाई ॥१॥
Jo is māre ṯis kā ḏukẖ jā▫ī. ||1||
One who kills this is freed of suffering. ||1||

ਐਸਾ ਕੋਇ ਜਿ ਦੁਬਿਧਾ ਮਾਰਿ ਗਵਾਵੈ
ऐसा कोइ जि दुबिधा मारि गवावै ॥
Aisā ko▫e jė ḏubiḏẖā mār gavāvai.
How rare is such a person, who kills and casts off duality.

ਇਸਹਿ ਮਾਰਿ ਰਾਜ ਜੋਗੁ ਕਮਾਵੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
इसहि मारि राज जोगु कमावै ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Isėh mār rāj jog kamāvai. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Killing it, he attains Raja Yoga, the Yoga of meditation and success. ||1||Pause||
