ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਜਾਣੁ ॥
प्रभु मेरा अंतरजामी जाणु ॥
Parabẖ merā anṯarjāmī jāṇ.
My God is the Inner-knower, the Searcher of Hearts.

ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪੂਰਨ ਪਰਮੇਸਰ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਸਚੁ ਸਬਦੁ ਨੀਸਾਣੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
करि किरपा पूरन परमेसर निहचलु सचु सबदु नीसाणु ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Kar kirpā pūran parmesar nihcẖal sacẖ sabaḏ nīsāṇ. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Take pity on me, O Perfect Transcendent Lord; bless me with the True Eternal Insignia of the Shabad, the Word of God. ||1||Pause||

ਹਰਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਆਨ ਨ ਕੋਈ ਸਮਰਥੁ ਤੇਰੀ ਆਸ ਤੇਰਾ ਮਨਿ ਤਾਣੁ ॥
हरि बिनु आन न कोई समरथु तेरी आस तेरा मनि ताणु ॥
Har bin ān na ko▫ī samrath ṯerī ās ṯerā man ṯāṇ.
O Lord, other than You, no one is all-powerful. You are the Hope and the Strength of my mind.

ਸਰਬ ਘਟਾ ਕੇ ਦਾਤੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇਹਿ ਸੁ ਪਹਿਰਣੁ ਖਾਣੁ ॥੧॥
सरब घटा के दाते सुआमी देहि सु पहिरणु खाणु ॥१॥
Sarab gẖatā ke ḏāṯe su▫āmī ḏėh so pahiraṇ kẖāṇ. ||1||
You are the Giver to the hearts of all beings, O Lord and Master. I eat and wear whatever You give me. ||1||

ਸੁਰਤਿ ਮਤਿ ਚਤੁਰਾਈ ਸੋਭਾ ਰੂਪੁ ਰੰਗੁ ਧਨੁ ਮਾਣੁ ॥
सुरति मति चतुराई सोभा रूपु रंगु धनु माणु ॥
Suraṯ maṯ cẖaṯurā▫ī sobẖā rūp rang ḏẖan māṇ.
Intuitive understanding, wisdom and cleverness, glory and beauty, pleasure, wealth and honor,

ਸਰਬ ਸੂਖ ਆਨੰਦ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਪਿ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਕਲਿਆਣੁ ॥੨॥੬॥੯॥
सरब सूख आनंद नानक जपि राम नामु कलिआणु ॥२॥६॥९॥
Sarab sūkẖ ānanḏ Nānak jap rām nām kali▫āṇ. ||2||6||9||
all comforts, bliss, happiness and salvation, O Nanak, come by chanting the Lord's Name. ||2||6||9||

ਹਰਿ ਚਰਨ ਸਰਨ ਕਲਿਆਨ ਕਰਨ ॥
हरि चरन सरन कलिआन करन ॥
Har cẖaran saran kali▫ān karan.
The Sanctuary of the Lord's Feet bring salvation.

ਪ੍ਰਭ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਤਿਤ ਪਾਵਨੋ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
प्रभ नामु पतित पावनो ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Parabẖ nām paṯiṯ pāvno. ||1|| rahā▫o.
God's Name is the Purifier of sinners. ||1||Pause||

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਜਪਿ ਨਿਸੰਗ ਜਮਕਾਲੁ ਤਿਸੁ ਨ ਖਾਵਨੋ ॥੧॥
साधसंगि जपि निसंग जमकालु तिसु न खावनो ॥१॥
Sāḏẖsang jap nisang jamkāl ṯis na kẖāvno. ||1||
Whoever chants and meditates in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, shall undoubtedly escape being consumed by the Messenger of Death. ||1||

ਮੁਕਤਿ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਅਨਿਕ ਸੂਖ ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਲਵੈ ਨ ਲਾਵਨੋ ॥
मुकति जुगति अनिक सूख हरि भगति लवै न लावनो ॥
Mukaṯ jugaṯ anik sūkẖ har bẖagaṯ lavai na lāvno.
Liberation, the key to success, and all sorts of comforts do not equal loving devotional worship of the Lord.

ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦਰਸ ਲੁਬਧ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ ਬਹੁੜਿ ਜੋਨਿ ਨ ਧਾਵਨੋ ॥੨॥੭॥੧੦॥
प्रभ दरस लुबध दास नानक बहुड़ि जोनि न धावनो ॥२॥७॥१०॥
Parabẖ ḏaras lubaḏẖ ḏās Nānak bahuṛ jon na ḏẖāvno. ||2||7||10||
Slave Nanak longs for the Blessed Vision of God's Darshan; he shall never again wander in reincarnation. ||2||||7||10||

ਰਾਮਾ ਰਮ ਰਾਮੋ ਸੁਨਿ ਮਨੁ ਭੀਜੈ ॥
रामा रम रामो सुनि मनु भीजै ॥
Rāmā ram rāmo sun man bẖījai.
Hearing the Name of the Lord, the All-pervading Lord, my mind is drenched with joy.

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਰਸੁ ਮੀਠਾ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਸਹਜੇ ਪੀਜੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
हरि हरि नामु अम्रितु रसु मीठा गुरमति सहजे पीजै ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Har har nām amriṯ ras mīṯẖā gurmaṯ sėhje pījai. ||1|| rahā▫o.
The Name of the Lord, Har, Har, is Ambrosial Nectar, the most Sweet and Sublime Essence; through the Guru's Teachings, drink it in with intuitive ease. ||1||Pause||

ਕਾਸਟ ਮਹਿ ਜਿਉ ਹੈ ਬੈਸੰਤਰੁ ਮਥਿ ਸੰਜਮਿ ਕਾਢਿ ਕਢੀਜੈ ॥
कासट महि जिउ है बैसंतरु मथि संजमि काढि कढीजै ॥
Kāsat mėh ji▫o hai baisanṯar math sanjam kādẖ kadẖījai.
The potential energy of fire is within the wood; it is released if you know how to rub it and generate friction.

ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਹੈ ਜੋਤਿ ਸਬਾਈ ਤਤੁ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਕਾਢਿ ਲਈਜੈ ॥੧॥
राम नामु है जोति सबाई ततु गुरमति काढि लईजै ॥१॥
Rām nām hai joṯ sabā▫ī ṯaṯ gurmaṯ kādẖ la▫ījai. ||1||
In just the same way, the Lord's Name is the Light within all; the Essence is extracted by following the Guru's Teachings. ||1||

ਨਉ ਦਰਵਾਜ ਨਵੇ ਦਰ ਫੀਕੇ ਰਸੁ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਦਸਵੇ ਚੁਈਜੈ ॥
नउ दरवाज नवे दर फीके रसु अम्रितु दसवे चुईजै ॥
Na▫o ḏarvāj nave ḏar fīke ras amriṯ ḏasve cẖu▫ījai.
There are nine doors, but the taste of these nine doors is bland and insipid. The Essence of Ambrosial Nectar trickles down through the Tenth Door.

ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਿ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੀ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਪੀਜੈ ॥੨॥
क्रिपा क्रिपा किरपा करि पिआरे गुर सबदी हरि रसु पीजै ॥२॥
Kirpā kirpā kirpā kar pi▫āre gur sabḏī har ras pījai. ||2||
Please take pity on me - be kind and compassionate, O my Beloved, that I may drink in the Sublime Essence of the Lord, through the Word of the Guru's Shabad. ||2||

ਕਾਇਆ ਨਗਰੁ ਨਗਰੁ ਹੈ ਨੀਕੋ ਵਿਚਿ ਸਉਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਕੀਜੈ ॥
काइआ नगरु नगरु है नीको विचि सउदा हरि रसु कीजै ॥
Kā▫i▫ā nagar nagar hai nīko vicẖ sa▫uḏā har ras kījai.
The body-village is the most sublime and exalted village, in which the merchandise of the Lord's Sublime Essence is traded.

ਰਤਨ ਲਾਲ ਅਮੋਲ ਅਮੋਲਕ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸੇਵਾ ਲੀਜੈ ॥੩॥
रतन लाल अमोल अमोलक सतिगुर सेवा लीजै ॥३॥
Raṯan lāl amol amolak saṯgur sevā lījai. ||3||
The most precious and priceless gems and jewels are obtained by serving the True Guru. ||3||
|
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਅਗਮੁ ਅਗਮੁ ਹੈ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਭਰਿ ਸਾਗਰ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰੀਜੈ ॥
सतिगुरु अगमु अगमु है ठाकुरु भरि सागर भगति करीजै ॥
Saṯgur agam agam hai ṯẖākur bẖar sāgar bẖagaṯ karījai.
The True Guru is Inaccessible; Inaccessible is our Lord and Master. He is the overflowing Ocean of bliss - worship Him with loving devotion.

ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰਿ ਦੀਨ ਹਮ ਸਾਰਿੰਗ ਇਕ ਬੂੰਦ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੁਖਿ ਦੀਜੈ ॥੪॥
क्रिपा क्रिपा करि दीन हम सारिंग इक बूंद नामु मुखि दीजै ॥४॥
Kirpā kirpā kar ḏīn ham sāring ik būnḏ nām mukẖ ḏījai. ||4||
Please take pity on me, and be Merciful to this meek song-bird; please pour a drop of Your Name into my mouth. ||4||

ਲਾਲਨੁ ਲਾਲੁ ਲਾਲੁ ਹੈ ਰੰਗਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਰੰਗਨ ਕਉ ਗੁਰ ਦੀਜੈ ॥
लालनु लालु लालु है रंगनु मनु रंगन कउ गुर दीजै ॥
Lālan lāl lāl hai rangan man rangan ka▫o gur ḏījai.
O Beloved Lord, please color my mind with the Deep Crimson Color of Your Love; I have surrendered my mind to the Guru.

ਰਾਮ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਮ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਰਸ ਰਸਿਕ ਗਟਕ ਨਿਤ ਪੀਜੈ ॥੫॥
राम राम राम रंगि राते रस रसिक गटक नित पीजै ॥५॥
Rām rām rām rang rāṯe ras rasik gatak niṯ pījai. ||5||
Those who are imbued with the Love of the Lord, Raam, Raam, Raam, continually drink in this essence in big gulps, savoring its sweet taste. ||5||
|
ਬਸੁਧਾ ਸਪਤ ਦੀਪ ਹੈ ਸਾਗਰ ਕਢਿ ਕੰਚਨੁ ਕਾਢਿ ਧਰੀਜੈ ॥
बसुधा सपत दीप है सागर कढि कंचनु काढि धरीजै ॥
Basuḏẖā sapaṯ ḏīp hai sāgar kadẖ kancẖan kādẖ ḏẖarījai.
If all the gold of the seven continents and the oceans was taken out and placed before them,
|
ਮੇਰੇ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਕੇ ਜਨ ਇਨਹੁ ਨ ਬਾਛਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਮਾਗਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਦੀਜੈ ॥੬॥
मेरे ठाकुर के जन इनहु न बाछहि हरि मागहि हरि रसु दीजै ॥६॥
Mere ṯẖākur ke jan inahu na bācẖẖėh har māgėh har ras ḏījai. ||6||
the humble servants of my Lord and Master would not even want it. They beg for the Lord to bless them with the Lord's Sublime Essence. ||6||
|
ਸਾਕਤ ਨਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਨੀ ਸਦ ਭੂਖੇ ਨਿਤ ਭੂਖਨ ਭੂਖ ਕਰੀਜੈ ॥
साकत नर प्रानी सद भूखे नित भूखन भूख करीजै ॥
Sākaṯ nar parānī saḏ bẖūkẖe niṯ bẖūkẖan bẖūkẖ karījai.
The faithless cynics and mortal beings remain hungry forever; they continually cry out in hunger.
|
ਧਾਵਤੁ ਧਾਇ ਧਾਵਹਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਮਾਇਆ ਲਖ ਕੋਸਨ ਕਉ ਬਿਥਿ ਦੀਜੈ ॥੭॥
धावतु धाइ धावहि प्रीति माइआ लख कोसन कउ बिथि दीजै ॥७॥
Ḏẖāvaṯ ḏẖā▫e ḏẖāvėh parīṯ mā▫i▫ā lakẖ kosan ka▫o bith ḏījai. ||7||
They hurry and run, and wander all around, caught in the love of Maya; they cover hundreds of thousands of miles in their wanderings. ||7||
|
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਊਤਮ ਕਿਆ ਉਪਮਾ ਤਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਦੀਜੈ ॥
हरि हरि हरि हरि हरि जन ऊतम किआ उपमा तिन्ह दीजै ॥
Har har har har har jan ūṯam ki▫ā upmā ṯinĥ ḏījai.
The humble servants of the Lord, Har, Har, Har, Har, Har, are sublime and exalted. What praise can we bestow upon them?
