Shalok: ਮੁਖੁ ਊਜਲੁ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਏਕ ॥੧॥ मुखु ऊजलु सदा सुखी नानक सिमरत एक ॥१॥ Mukʰ oojal saḋaa sukʰee Naanak simraṫ ék. ||1|| Your face shall be radiant, and you will be at peace forever, O Nanak! Meditating in remembrance of the One Lord. ||1|| ਸਿਖਹੁ ਸਬਦੁ ਪਿਆਰਿਹੋ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਕੀ ਟੇਕ ॥ सिखहु सबदु पिआरिहो जनम मरन की टेक ॥ Sikʰahu sabaḋ pi▫aariho janam maran kee ték. Study the Word of the Shabad, O beloved ones. It is your anchoring support in life and in death. ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਰਾਤਾ ਰਾਮ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਭਗਤਿ ਬਣਿ ਆਈ ਸੰਤਹੁ ॥੧॥ मनु तनु राता राम पिआरे हरि प्रेम भगति बणि आई संतहु ॥१॥ Man ṫan raaṫaa raam pi▫aaré har parém bʰagaṫ baṇ aa▫ee sanṫahu. ||1|| My mind and body are imbued with my Beloved Lord; I have been blessed with loving devotion to the Lord, O Saints. ||1|| ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਖੇਪ ਨਿਬਾਹੀ ਸੰਤਹੁ ॥ सतिगुरि खेप निबाही संतहु ॥ Saṫgur kʰép nibaahee sanṫahu. The True Guru has approved my cargo, O Saints. ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਲਾਹਾ ਦਾਸ ਕਉ ਦੀਆ ਸਗਲੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨ ਉਲਾਹੀ ਸੰਤਹੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ हरि नामु लाहा दास कउ दीआ सगली त्रिसन उलाही संतहु ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Har naam laahaa ḋaas ka▫o ḋee▫aa saglee ṫarisan ulaahee sanṫahu. ||1|| rahaa▫o. He has blessed His slave with the profit of the Lord’s Name; all my thirst is quenched, O Saints. ||1||Pause|| ਖੋਜਤ ਖੋਜਤ ਲਾਲੁ ਇਕੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਹਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ਸੰਤਹੁ ॥੨॥ खोजत खोजत लालु इकु पाइआ हरि कीमति कहणु न जाई संतहु ॥२॥ Kʰojaṫ kʰojaṫ laal ik paa▫i▫aa har keemaṫ kahaṇ na jaa▫ee sanṫahu. ||2|| Searching and searching, I have found the One Lord, the jewel; I cannot express His value, O Saints. ||2|| ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਸਿਉ ਲਾਗੋ ਧਿਆਨਾ ਸਾਚੈ ਦਰਸਿ ਸਮਾਈ ਸੰਤਹੁ ॥੩॥ चरन कमल सिउ लागो धिआना साचै दरसि समाई संतहु ॥३॥ Charan kamal si▫o laago ḋʰi▫aanaa saachæ ḋaras samaa▫ee sanṫahu. ||3|| I focus my meditation on His Lotus Feet; I am absorbed in the True Vision of His Darshan, O Saints. ||3|| ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਤ ਗਾਵਤ ਭਏ ਨਿਹਾਲਾ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਅਘਾਈ ਸੰਤਹੁ ॥੪॥ गुण गावत गावत भए निहाला हरि सिमरत त्रिपति अघाई संतहु ॥४॥ Guṇ gaavaṫ gaavaṫ bʰa▫é nihaalaa har simraṫ ṫaripaṫ agʰaa▫ee sanṫahu. ||4|| Singing, singing His Glorious Praises, I am enraptured; meditating in remembrance of the Lord, I am satisfied and fulfilled, O Saints. ||4|| ਆਤਮ ਰਾਮੁ ਰਵਿਆ ਸਭ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਕਤ ਆਵੈ ਕਤ ਜਾਈ ਸੰਤਹੁ ॥੫॥ आतम रामु रविआ सभ अंतरि कत आवै कत जाई संतहु ॥५॥ Aaṫam raam ravi▫aa sabʰ anṫar kaṫ aavæ kaṫ jaa▫ee sanṫahu. ||5|| The Lord, the Supreme Soul, is permeating within all; what comes, and what goes, O Saints? ||5|| ਆਦਿ ਜੁਗਾਦੀ ਹੈ ਭੀ ਹੋਸੀ ਸਭ ਜੀਆ ਕਾ ਸੁਖਦਾਈ ਸੰਤਹੁ ॥੬॥ आदि जुगादी है भी होसी सभ जीआ का सुखदाई संतहु ॥६॥ Aaḋ jugaaḋee hæ bʰee hosee sabʰ jee▫aa kaa sukʰ▫ḋaa▫ee sanṫahu. ||6|| At the very beginning of time, and throughout the ages, He is, and He shall always be; He is the Giver of peace to all beings, O Saints. ||6|| ਆਪਿ ਬੇਅੰਤੁ ਅੰਤੁ ਨਹੀ ਪਾਈਐ ਪੂਰਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਭ ਠਾਈ ਸੰਤਹੁ ॥੭॥ आपि बेअंतु अंतु नही पाईऐ पूरि रहिआ सभ ठाई संतहु ॥७॥ Aap bé▫anṫ anṫ nahee paa▫ee▫æ poor rahi▫aa sabʰ tʰaa▫ee sanṫahu. ||7|| He Himself is endless; His limit cannot be found. He is totally pervading and permeating everywhere, O Saints. ||7|| ਮੀਤ ਸਾਜਨ ਮਾਲੁ ਜੋਬਨੁ ਸੁਤ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਬਾਪੁ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਈ ਸੰਤਹੁ ॥੮॥੨॥੭॥ मीत साजन मालु जोबनु सुत हरि नानक बापु मेरी माई संतहु ॥८॥२॥७॥ Meeṫ saajan maal joban suṫ har Naanak baap méree maa▫ee sanṫahu. ||8||2||7|| Nanak: the Lord is my friend, companion, wealth, youth, son, father and mother, O Saints. ||8||2||7||
