ਬਿਲਾਵਲੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੪ ॥ बिलावलु महला ४ ॥ Bilāval mėhlā 4. Bilaaval, Fourth Mehl: ਆਵਹੁ ਸੰਤ ਮਿਲਹੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਾਈ ਮਿਲਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕਥਾ ਕਰਹੁ ॥ आवहु संत मिलहु मेरे भाई मिलि हरि हरि कथा करहु ॥ Āvhu sanṯ milhu mere bẖā▫ī mil har har kathā karahu. Come, O Saints, and join together, O my Siblings of Destiny; let us tell the Stories of the Lord, Har, Har. ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਬੋਹਿਥੁ ਹੈ ਕਲਜੁਗਿ ਖੇਵਟੁ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦਿ ਤਰਹੁ ॥੧॥ हरि हरि नामु बोहिथु है कलजुगि खेवटु गुर सबदि तरहु ॥१॥ Har har nām bohith hai kaljug kẖevat gur sabaḏ ṯarahu. ||1|| The Naam, the Name of the Lord, is the boat in this Dark Age of Kali Yuga; the Word of the Guru's Shabad is the boatman to ferry us across. ||1|| ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਹਰਿ ਉਚਰਹੁ ॥ मेरे मन हरि गुण हरि उचरहु ॥ Mere man har guṇ har ucẖrahu. O my mind, chant the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ਮਸਤਕਿ ਲਿਖਤ ਲਿਖੇ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਏ ਮਿਲਿ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਪਾਰਿ ਪਰਹੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ मसतकि लिखत लिखे गुन गाए मिलि संगति पारि परहु ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Masṯak likẖaṯ likẖe gun gā▫e mil sangaṯ pār parahu. ||1|| rahā▫o. According to the pre-ordained destiny inscribed upon your forehead, sing the Praises of the Lord; join the Holy Congregation, and cross over the world-ocean. ||1||Pause|| ਕਾਇਆ ਨਗਰ ਮਹਿ ਰਾਮ ਰਸੁ ਊਤਮੁ ਕਿਉ ਪਾਈਐ ਉਪਦੇਸੁ ਜਨ ਕਰਹੁ ॥ काइआ नगर महि राम रसु ऊतमु किउ पाईऐ उपदेसु जन करहु ॥ Kā▫i▫ā nagar mėh rām ras ūṯam ki▫o pā▫ī▫ai upḏes jan karahu. Within the body-village is the Lord's supreme, sublime essence. How can I obtain it? Teach me, O humble Saints. ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਸਫਲ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਮਿਲਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਪੀਅਹੁ ॥੨॥ सतिगुरु सेवि सफल हरि दरसनु मिलि अम्रितु हरि रसु पीअहु ॥२॥ Saṯgur sev safal har ḏarsan mil amriṯ har ras pī▫ahu. ||2|| Serving the True Guru, you shall obtain the Fruitful Vision of the Lord's Darshan; meeting Him, drink in the ambrosial essence of the Lord's Nectar. ||2|| ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਹਰਿ ਮੀਠਾ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਤਹੁ ਚਾਖਿ ਦਿਖਹੁ ॥ हरि हरि नामु अम्रितु हरि मीठा हरि संतहु चाखि दिखहु ॥ Har har nām amriṯ har mīṯẖā har sanṯahu cẖākẖ ḏikẖahu. The Ambrosial Name of the Lord, Har, Har, is so sweet; O Saints of the Lord, taste it, and see. ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਮੀਠਾ ਲਾਗਾ ਤਿਨ ਬਿਸਰੇ ਸਭਿ ਬਿਖ ਰਸਹੁ ॥੩॥ गुरमति हरि रसु मीठा लागा तिन बिसरे सभि बिख रसहु ॥३॥ Gurmaṯ har ras mīṯẖā lāgā ṯin bisre sabẖ bikẖ rasahu. ||3|| Under Guru's Instruction, the Lord's essence seems so sweet; through it, all corrupt sensual pleasures are forgotten. ||3|| ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਸੁ ਰਾਮ ਰਸਾਇਣੁ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਵਹੁ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਹੁ ॥ राम नामु रसु राम रसाइणु हरि सेवहु संत जनहु ॥ Rām nām ras rām rasā▫iṇ har sevhu sanṯ janhu. The Name of the Lord is the medicine to cure all diseases; so serve the Lord, O humble Saints. ਚਾਰਿ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਚਾਰੇ ਪਾਏ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਭਜਹੁ ॥੪॥੪॥ चारि पदारथ चारे पाए गुरमति नानक हरि भजहु ॥४॥४॥ Cẖār paḏārath cẖāre pā▫e gurmaṯ Nānak har bẖajahu. ||4||4|| The four great blessings are obtained, O Nanak, by vibrating upon the Lord, under Guru's Instruction. ||4||4||
