ਮਨਹਠਿ ਤਰਫ ਨ ਜਿਪਈ ਜੇ ਬਹੁਤਾ ਘਾਲੇ ॥ मनहठि तरफ न जिपई जे बहुता घाले ॥ Manhaṯẖ ṯaraf na jip▫ī je bahuṯā gẖāle. Stubborn-mindedness will not win the Lord to one's side, no matter how much it is tried. ਮਃ ੨ ॥ मः २ ॥ Mėhlā 2. Second Mehl: ਤਰਫ ਜਿਣੈ ਸਤ ਭਾਉ ਦੇ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਬਦੁ ਵੀਚਾਰੇ ॥੪॥ तरफ जिणै सत भाउ दे जन नानक सबदु वीचारे ॥४॥ Ŧaraf jiṇai saṯ bẖā▫o ḏe jan Nānak sabaḏ vīcẖāre. ||4|| The Lord is won over to your side, by offering Him your true love, O servant Nanak, and contemplating the Word of the Shabad. ||4||
