ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥ ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥ Ik▫oaʼnkār saṯgur parsāḏ. One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru: ਰਾਗੁ ਸੂਹੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੪ ਅਸਟਪਦੀਆ ਘਰੁ ੧੦ रागु सूही महला ४ असटपदीआ घरु १० Rāg sūhī mėhlā 4 asatpaḏī▫ā gẖar 10 Raag Soohee, Fourth Mehl, Ashtapadees, Tenth House: ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਹੋਇ ਨਿਹਾਲੁ ਜਾ ਗੁਰੁ ਦੇਖਾ ਸਾਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਣੇ ॥੧॥ तनु मनु होइ निहालु जा गुरु देखा साम्हणे ॥१॥ Ŧan man ho▫e nihāl jā gur ḏekẖā sāmĥṇe. ||1|| My body and soul are in ecstasy; I see my Guru before me. ||1|| ਮੈ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਿਸਾਹੁ ॥ मै हरि हरि नामु विसाहु ॥ Mai har har nām visāhu. I have purchased the Name of the Lord, Har, Har. ਅੰਦਰਿ ਸਚਾ ਨੇਹੁ ਲਾਇਆ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਆਪਣੈ ॥ अंदरि सचा नेहु लाइआ प्रीतम आपणै ॥ Anḏar sacẖā nehu lā▫i▫ā parīṯam āpṇai. Deep within myself, I have enshrined true love for my Beloved. ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਤੇ ਪਾਇਆ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਅਗਮ ਅਥਾਹੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ गुर पूरे ते पाइआ अम्रितु अगम अथाहु ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Gur pūre ṯe pā▫i▫ā amriṯ agam athāhu. ||1|| rahā▫o. I have obtained the Inaccessible and Unfathomable Ambrosial Nectar from the Perfect Guru. ||1||Pause|| ਹਉ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਵੇਖਿ ਵਿਗਸੀਆ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੇ ਲਗਾ ਪਿਆਰੁ ॥ हउ सतिगुरु वेखि विगसीआ हरि नामे लगा पिआरु ॥ Ha▫o saṯgur vekẖ vigsī▫ā har nāme lagā pi▫ār. Gazing upon the True Guru, I blossom forth in ecstasy; I am in love with the Name of the Lord. ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਿ ਕੈ ਮੇਲਿਅਨੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਮੋਖ ਦੁਆਰੁ ॥੨॥ किरपा करि कै मेलिअनु पाइआ मोख दुआरु ॥२॥ Kirpā kar kai meli▫an pā▫i▫ā mokẖ ḏu▫ār. ||2|| Through His Mercy, the Lord has united me with Himself, and I have found the Door of Salvation. ||2|| ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਬਿਰਹੀ ਨਾਮ ਕਾ ਜੇ ਮਿਲੈ ਤ ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਦੇਉ ॥ सतिगुरु बिरही नाम का जे मिलै त तनु मनु देउ ॥ Saṯgur birhī nām kā je milai ṯa ṯan man ḏe▫o. The True Guru is the Lover of the Naam, the Name of the Lord. Meeting Him, I dedicate my body and mind to Him. ਜੇ ਪੂਰਬਿ ਹੋਵੈ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਤਾ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਸਹਜਿ ਪੀਏਉ ॥੩॥ जे पूरबि होवै लिखिआ ता अम्रितु सहजि पीएउ ॥३॥ Je pūrab hovai likẖi▫ā ṯā amriṯ sahj pī▫e▫o. ||3|| And if it is so pre-ordained, then I shall automatically drink in the Ambrosial Nectar. ||3|| ਸੁਤਿਆ ਗੁਰੁ ਸਾਲਾਹੀਐ ਉਠਦਿਆ ਭੀ ਗੁਰੁ ਆਲਾਉ ॥ सुतिआ गुरु सालाहीऐ उठदिआ भी गुरु आलाउ ॥ Suṯi▫ā gur salāhī▫ai uṯẖ▫ḏi▫ā bẖī gur ālā▫o. Praise the Guru while you are asleep, and call on the Guru while you are up. ਕੋਈ ਐਸਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜੇ ਮਿਲੈ ਹਉ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਧੋਵਾ ਪਾਉ ॥੪॥ कोई ऐसा गुरमुखि जे मिलै हउ ता के धोवा पाउ ॥४॥ Ko▫ī aisā gurmukẖ je milai ha▫o ṯā ke ḏẖovā pā▫o. ||4|| If only I could meet such a Gurmukh; I would wash His Feet. ||4|| ਕੋਈ ਐਸਾ ਸਜਣੁ ਲੋੜਿ ਲਹੁ ਮੈ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮੁ ਦੇਇ ਮਿਲਾਇ ॥ कोई ऐसा सजणु लोड़ि लहु मै प्रीतमु देइ मिलाइ ॥ Ko▫ī aisā sajaṇ loṛ lahu mai parīṯam ḏe▫e milā▫e. I long for such a Friend, to unite me with my Beloved. ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਮਿਲਿਐ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਇ ॥੫॥ सतिगुरि मिलिऐ हरि पाइआ मिलिआ सहजि सुभाइ ॥५॥ Saṯgur mili▫ai har pā▫i▫ā mili▫ā sahj subẖā▫e. ||5|| Meeting the True Guru, I have found the Lord. He has met me, easily and effortlessly. ||5|| ਹਉ ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਘੜੀ ਨ ਜੀਵਊ ਬਿਨੁ ਦੇਖੇ ਮਰਿ ਜਾਉ ॥੬॥ हउ तिसु बिनु घड़ी न जीवऊ बिनु देखे मरि जाउ ॥६॥ Ha▫o ṯis bin gẖaṛī na jīv▫ū bin ḏekẖe mar jā▫o. ||6|| Without Him, I cannot live, even for an instant. If I do not see Him, I die. ||6|| ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਗੁਣ ਨਾਮ ਕਾ ਮੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਦੇਖਣ ਕਾ ਚਾਉ ॥ सतिगुरु सागरु गुण नाम का मै तिसु देखण का चाउ ॥ Saṯgur sāgar guṇ nām kā mai ṯis ḏekẖaṇ kā cẖā▫o. The True Guru is the Ocean of Virtue of the Naam, the Name of the Lord. I have such a yearning to see Him! ਜਿਉ ਮਛੁਲੀ ਵਿਣੁ ਪਾਣੀਐ ਰਹੈ ਨ ਕਿਤੈ ਉਪਾਇ ॥ जिउ मछुली विणु पाणीऐ रहै न कितै उपाइ ॥ Ji▫o macẖẖulī viṇ pāṇī▫ai rahai na kiṯai upā▫e. As the fish cannot survive at all without water, ਤਿਉ ਹਰਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਸੰਤੁ ਨ ਜੀਵਈ ਬਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੈ ਮਰਿ ਜਾਇ ॥੭॥ तिउ हरि बिनु संतु न जीवई बिनु हरि नामै मरि जाइ ॥७॥ Ŧi▫o har bin sanṯ na jīv▫ī bin har nāmai mar jā▫e. ||7|| the Saint cannot live without the Lord. Without the Lord's Name, he dies. ||7|| ਮੈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸੇਤੀ ਪਿਰਹੜੀ ਕਿਉ ਗੁਰ ਬਿਨੁ ਜੀਵਾ ਮਾਉ ॥ मै सतिगुर सेती पिरहड़ी किउ गुर बिनु जीवा माउ ॥ Mai saṯgur seṯī pirhaṛī ki▫o gur bin jīvā mā▫o. I am so much in love with my True Guru! How could I even live without the Guru, O my mother? ਮੈ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਆਧਾਰੁ ਹੈ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਲਾਗਿ ਰਹਾਉ ॥੮॥ मै गुरबाणी आधारु है गुरबाणी लागि रहाउ ॥८॥ Mai gurbāṇī āḏẖār hai gurbāṇī lāg rahā▫o. ||8|| I have the Support of the Word of the Guru's Bani. Attached to Gurbani, I survive. ||8|| ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਤੰਨੁ ਹੈ ਗੁਰੁ ਤੁਠਾ ਦੇਵੈ ਮਾਇ ॥ हरि हरि नामु रतंनु है गुरु तुठा देवै माइ ॥ Har har nām raṯann hai gur ṯuṯẖā ḏevai mā▫e. The Name of the Lord, Har, Har, is a jewel; by the Pleasure of His Will, the Guru has given it, O my mother. ਮੈ ਧਰ ਸਚੇ ਨਾਮ ਕੀ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਰਹਾ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ॥੯॥ मै धर सचे नाम की हरि नामि रहा लिव लाइ ॥९॥ Mai ḏẖar sacẖe nām kī har nām rahā liv lā▫e. ||9|| The True Name is my only Support. I remain lovingly absorbed in the Lord's Name. ||9|| ਗੁਰ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਹੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੋ ਦੇਇ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਇ ॥ गुर गिआनु पदारथु नामु है हरि नामो देइ द्रिड़ाइ ॥ Gur gi▫ān paḏārath nām hai har nāmo ḏe▫e driṛ▫ā▫e. The wisdom of the Guru is the treasure of the Naam. The Guru implants and enshrines the Lord's Name. ਜਿਸੁ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਸੋ ਲਹੈ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਣੀ ਲਾਗੈ ਆਇ ॥੧੦॥ जिसु परापति सो लहै गुर चरणी लागै आइ ॥१०॥ Jis parāpaṯ so lahai gur cẖarṇī lāgai ā▫e. ||10|| He alone receives it, he alone gets it, who comes and falls at the Guru's Feet. ||10|| ਅਕਥ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਕੀ ਕੋ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮੁ ਆਖੈ ਆਇ ॥ अकथ कहाणी प्रेम की को प्रीतमु आखै आइ ॥ Akath kahāṇī parem kī ko parīṯam ākẖai ā▫e. If only someone would come and tell me the Unspoken Speech of the Love of my Beloved. ਤਿਸੁ ਦੇਵਾ ਮਨੁ ਆਪਣਾ ਨਿਵਿ ਨਿਵਿ ਲਾਗਾ ਪਾਇ ॥੧੧॥ तिसु देवा मनु आपणा निवि निवि लागा पाइ ॥११॥ Ŧis ḏevā man āpṇā niv niv lāgā pā▫e. ||11|| I would dedicate my mind to him; I would bow down in humble respect, and fall at his feet. ||11|| ਸਜਣੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਏਕੁ ਤੂੰ ਕਰਤਾ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਸੁਜਾਣੁ ॥ सजणु मेरा एकु तूं करता पुरखु सुजाणु ॥ Sajaṇ merā ek ṯūʼn karṯā purakẖ sujāṇ. You are my only Friend, O my All-knowing, All-powerful Creator Lord. ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਮੀਤਿ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ਮੈ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਤਾਣੁ ॥੧੨॥ सतिगुरि मीति मिलाइआ मै सदा सदा तेरा ताणु ॥१२॥ Saṯgur mīṯ milā▫i▫ā mai saḏā saḏā ṯerā ṯāṇ. ||12|| You have brought me to meet with my True Guru. Forever and ever, You are my only strength. ||12|| ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਨਾ ਆਵੈ ਨਾ ਜਾਇ ॥ सतिगुरु मेरा सदा सदा ना आवै ना जाइ ॥ Saṯgur merā saḏā saḏā nā āvai na jā▫e. My True Guru, forever and ever, does not come and go. ਓਹੁ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਹੈ ਸਭ ਮਹਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੧੩॥ ओहु अबिनासी पुरखु है सभ महि रहिआ समाइ ॥१३॥ Oh abẖināsī purakẖ hai sabẖ mėh rahi▫ā samā▫e. ||13|| He is the Imperishable Creator Lord; He is permeating and pervading among all. ||13|| ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਧਨੁ ਸੰਚਿਆ ਸਾਬਤੁ ਪੂੰਜੀ ਰਾਸਿ ॥ राम नाम धनु संचिआ साबतु पूंजी रासि ॥ Rām nām ḏẖan sancẖi▫ā sābaṯ pūnjī rās. I have gathered in the wealth of the Lord's Name. My facilities and faculties are intact, safe and sound. ਨਾਨਕ ਦਰਗਹ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਸਾਬਾਸਿ ॥੧੪॥੧॥੨॥੧੧॥ नानक दरगह मंनिआ गुर पूरे साबासि ॥१४॥१॥२॥११॥ Nānak ḏargėh mani▫ā gur pūre sābās. ||14||1||2||11|| O Nanak, I am approved and respected in the Court of the Lord; the Perfect Guru has blessed me! ||14||1||2||11||
