ਹਰਿ ਜੀ ਸੂਖਮੁ ਅਗਮੁ ਹੈ ਕਿਤੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਜਾਇ ॥ हरि जी सूखमु अगमु है कितु बिधि मिलिआ जाइ ॥ Har jī sūkẖam agam hai kiṯ biḏẖ mili▫ā jā▫e. The Dear Lord is subtle and inaccessible; how can we ever meet Him? ਸੂਹੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ॥ सूही महला ३ ॥ Sūhī mėhlā 3. Soohee, Third Mehl: ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪੰਨਿ ॥ गुरमुखि हरि हरि नामु जपंनि ॥ Gurmukẖ har har nām japann. The Gurmukhs chant the Name of the Lord, Har, Har. ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਕਟੀਐ ਅਚਿੰਤੁ ਵਸੈ ਮਨਿ ਆਇ ॥੧॥ गुर कै सबदि भ्रमु कटीऐ अचिंतु वसै मनि आइ ॥१॥ Gur kai sabaḏ bẖaram katī▫ai acẖinṯ vasai man ā▫e. ||1|| Through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, doubt is dispelled, and the Carefree Lord comes to abide in the mind. ||1|| ਹਉ ਤਿਨ ਕੈ ਬਲਿਹਾਰਣੈ ਮਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਸਦਾ ਰਵੰਨਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ हउ तिन कै बलिहारणै मनि हरि गुण सदा रवंनि ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Ha▫o ṯin kai balihārṇai man har guṇ saḏā ravann. ||1|| rahā▫o. I am a sacrifice to those who chant the Glorious Praises of the Lord in their minds forever. ||1||Pause|| ਗੁਰੁ ਸਰਵਰੁ ਮਾਨ ਸਰੋਵਰੁ ਹੈ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਪੁਰਖ ਲਹੰਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਿ ॥ गुरु सरवरु मान सरोवरु है वडभागी पुरख लहंन्हि ॥ Gur sarvar mān sarovar hai vadbẖāgī purakẖ lahaʼnniĥ. The Guru is like the Mansarovar Lake; only the very fortunate beings find Him. ਸੇਵਕ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਖੋਜਿਆ ਸੇ ਹੰਸੁਲੇ ਨਾਮੁ ਲਹੰਨਿ ॥੨॥ सेवक गुरमुखि खोजिआ से हंसुले नामु लहंनि ॥२॥ Sevak gurmukẖ kẖoji▫ā se hansule nām lahann. ||2|| The Gurmukhs, the selfless servants, seek out the Guru; the swan-souls feed there on the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||2|| ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਿ ਰੰਗ ਸਿਉ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਲਗੰਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਿ ॥ नामु धिआइन्हि रंग सिउ गुरमुखि नामि लगंन्हि ॥ Nām ḏẖi▫ā▫īniĥ rang si▫o gurmukẖ nām lagaʼnniĥ. The Gurmukhs meditate on the Naam, and remain linked to the Naam. ਧੁਰਿ ਪੂਰਬਿ ਹੋਵੈ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਗੁਰ ਭਾਣਾ ਮੰਨਿ ਲਏਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਿ ॥੩॥ धुरि पूरबि होवै लिखिआ गुर भाणा मंनि लएन्हि ॥३॥ Ḏẖur pūrab hovai likẖi▫ā gur bẖāṇā man la▫eniĥ. ||3|| Whatever is pre-ordained, accept it as the Will of the Guru. ||3|| ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਘਰੁ ਖੋਜਿਆ ਪਾਇਆ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ॥ वडभागी घरु खोजिआ पाइआ नामु निधानु ॥ vadbẖāgī gẖar kẖoji▫ā pā▫i▫ā nām niḏẖān. By great good fortune, I searched my home, and found the treasure of the Naam. ਸਭਨਾ ਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਏਕੁ ਹੈ ਦੂਜਾ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥ सभना का प्रभु एकु है दूजा अवरु न कोइ ॥ Sabẖnā kā parabẖ ek hai ḏūjā avar na ko▫e. There is One God of all; there is no other at all. ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਵੇਖਾਲਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਤਮ ਰਾਮੁ ਪਛਾਨੁ ॥੪॥ गुरि पूरै वेखालिआ प्रभु आतम रामु पछानु ॥४॥ Gur pūrai vekẖāli▫ā parabẖ āṯam rām pacẖẖān. ||4|| The Perfect Guru has shown God to me; I have realized the Lord, the Supreme Soul. ||4|| ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਤਿਤੁ ਘਟਿ ਪਰਗਟੁ ਹੋਇ ॥੫॥ गुर परसादी मनि वसै तितु घटि परगटु होइ ॥५॥ Gur parsādī man vasai ṯiṯ gẖat pargat ho▫e. ||5|| By Guru's Grace, the Lord comes to abide in the mind; in the heart of such a one, He is revealed. ||5|| ਸਭੁ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਹੈ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਵਸੈ ਸਭ ਥਾਇ ॥ सभु अंतरजामी ब्रहमु है ब्रहमु वसै सभ थाइ ॥ Sabẖ anṯarjāmī barahm hai barahm vasai sabẖ thā▫e. God is the Inner-knower of all hearts; God dwells in every place. ਮੰਦਾ ਕਿਸ ਨੋ ਆਖੀਐ ਸਬਦਿ ਵੇਖਹੁ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ॥੬॥ मंदा किस नो आखीऐ सबदि वेखहु लिव लाइ ॥६॥ Manḏā kis no ākẖī▫ai sabaḏ vekẖhu liv lā▫e. ||6|| So who should we call evil? Behold the Word of the Shabad, and lovingly dwell upon it. ||6|| ਬੁਰਾ ਭਲਾ ਤਿਚਰੁ ਆਖਦਾ ਜਿਚਰੁ ਹੈ ਦੁਹੁ ਮਾਹਿ ॥ बुरा भला तिचरु आखदा जिचरु है दुहु माहि ॥ Burā bẖalā ṯicẖar ākẖ▫ḏā jicẖar hai ḏuhu māhi. He calls others bad and good, as long as he is in duality. ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਏਕੋ ਬੁਝਿਆ ਏਕਸੁ ਮਾਹਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੭॥ गुरमुखि एको बुझिआ एकसु माहि समाइ ॥७॥ Gurmukẖ eko bujẖi▫ā ekas māhi samā▫e. ||7|| The Gurmukh understands the One and Only Lord; He is absorbed in the One Lord. ||7|| ਸੇਵਾ ਸਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਵਸੀ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਪਾਏ ਥਾਇ ॥ सेवा सा प्रभ भावसी जो प्रभु पाए थाइ ॥ Sevā sā parabẖ bẖāvsī jo parabẖ pā▫e thā▫e. That is selfless service, which pleases God, and which is approved by God. ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਆਰਾਧਿਆ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਣੀ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਇ ॥੮॥੨॥੪॥੯॥ जन नानक हरि आराधिआ गुर चरणी चितु लाइ ॥८॥२॥४॥९॥ Jan Nānak har ārāḏẖi▫ā gur cẖarṇī cẖiṯ lā▫e. ||8||2||4||9|| Servant Nanak worships the Lord in adoration; he focuses his consciousness on the Guru's Feet. ||8||2||4||9||
