By The Grace Of The True Guru: ਟੋਡੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ਘਰੁ ੨ ਦੁਪਦੇ टोडी महला ५ घरु २ दुपदे Todī mėhlā 5 gẖar 2 ḏupḏe Todee, Fifth Mehl, Second House, Du-Padas: ਅਵਰੁ ਕਛੂ ਮੇਰੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਨ ਚਾਲੈ ਮਿਲੈ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਮ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ अवरु कछू मेरै संगि न चालै मिलै क्रिपा गुण गाम ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Avar kacẖẖū merai sang na cẖālai milai kirpā guṇ gām. ||1|| rahā▫o. Nothing else shall go along with me in the end; by Your Grace, please allow me to sing Your Glorious Praises. ||1||Pause|| ਰਾਜੁ ਮਾਲੁ ਅਨੇਕ ਭੋਗ ਰਸ ਸਗਲ ਤਰਵਰ ਕੀ ਛਾਮ ॥ राजु मालु अनेक भोग रस सगल तरवर की छाम ॥ Rāj māl anek bẖog ras sagal ṯarvar kī cẖẖām. Power, wealth, various pleasures and enjoyments, all are just like the shadow of a tree. ਮਾਗਉ ਦਾਨੁ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਨਾਮ ॥ मागउ दानु ठाकुर नाम ॥ Māga▫o ḏān ṯẖākur nām. I beg for the Gift of Your Name, O my Lord and Master. ਧਾਇ ਧਾਇ ਬਹੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਕਉ ਧਾਵੈ ਸਗਲ ਨਿਰਾਰਥ ਕਾਮ ॥੧॥ धाइ धाइ बहु बिधि कउ धावै सगल निरारथ काम ॥१॥ Ḏẖā▫e ḏẖā▫e baho biḏẖ ka▫o ḏẖāvai sagal nirārath kām. ||1|| He runs, runs, runs around in many directions, but all of his pursuits are useless. ||1|| ਬਿਨੁ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਅਵਰੁ ਜੇ ਚਾਹਉ ਦੀਸੈ ਸਗਲ ਬਾਤ ਹੈ ਖਾਮ ॥ बिनु गोविंद अवरु जे चाहउ दीसै सगल बात है खाम ॥ Bin govinḏ avar je cẖāha▫o ḏīsai sagal bāṯ hai kẖām. Except for the Lord of the Universe, everything he desires appears transitory. ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੰਤ ਰੇਨ ਮਾਗਉ ਮੇਰੋ ਮਨੁ ਪਾਵੈ ਬਿਸ੍ਰਾਮ ॥੨॥੧॥੬॥ कहु नानक संत रेन मागउ मेरो मनु पावै बिस्राम ॥२॥१॥६॥ Kaho Nānak sanṯ ren māga▫o mero man pāvai bisrām. ||2||1||6|| Says Nanak, I beg for the dust of the feet of the Saints, so that my mind may find peace and tranquility. ||2||1||6||
