ਧਨਾਸਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੪ ॥ धनासरी महला ४ ॥ Ḋʰanaasree mėhlaa 4. Dhanaasaree, Fourth Mehl: ਕਲਿਜੁਗ ਕਾ ਧਰਮੁ ਕਹਹੁ ਤੁਮ ਭਾਈ ਕਿਵ ਛੂਟਹ ਹਮ ਛੁਟਕਾਕੀ ॥ कलिजुग का धरमु कहहु तुम भाई किव छूटह हम छुटकाकी ॥ Kalijug kaa ḋʰaram kahhu ṫum bʰaa▫ee kiv chʰootah ham chʰutkaakee. Tell me, O Siblings of Destiny, the religion for this Dark Age of Kali Yuga. I seek emancipation - how can I be emancipated? ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਪੁ ਬੇੜੀ ਹਰਿ ਤੁਲਹਾ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿਓ ਤਰੈ ਤਰਾਕੀ ॥੧॥ हरि हरि जपु बेड़ी हरि तुलहा हरि जपिओ तरै तराकी ॥१॥ Har har jap béṛee har ṫulhaa har japi▫o ṫaræ ṫaraakee. ||1|| Meditation on the Lord, Har, Har, is the boat, the raft; meditating on the Lord, the swimmer swims across. ||1|| ਹਰਿ ਜੀ ਲਾਜ ਰਖਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਕੀ ॥ हरि जी लाज रखहु हरि जन की ॥ Har jee laaj rakʰahu har jan kee. O Dear Lord, protect and preserve the honor of Your humble servant. ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਨੁ ਜਪਾਵਹੁ ਅਪਨਾ ਹਮ ਮਾਗੀ ਭਗਤਿ ਇਕਾਕੀ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ हरि हरि जपनु जपावहु अपना हम मागी भगति इकाकी ॥ रहाउ ॥ Har har japan japaavhu apnaa ham maagee bʰagaṫ ikaakee. Rahaa▫o. O Lord, Har, Har, please make me chant the chant of Your Name; I beg only for Your devotional worship. ||Pause|| ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਸੇ ਹਰਿ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਜਿਨ ਜਪਿਓ ਹਰਿ ਬਚਨਾਕੀ ॥ हरि के सेवक से हरि पिआरे जिन जपिओ हरि बचनाकी ॥ Har ké sévak sé har pi▫aaré jin japi▫o har bachnaakee. The Lord’s servants are very dear to the Lord; they chant the Word of the Lord’s Bani. ਲੇਖਾ ਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਗੁਪਤਿ ਜੋ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਸਭ ਛੂਟੀ ਜਮ ਕੀ ਬਾਕੀ ॥੨॥ लेखा चित्र गुपति जो लिखिआ सभ छूटी जम की बाकी ॥२॥ Lékʰaa chiṫar gupaṫ jo likʰi▫aa sabʰ chʰootee jam kee baakee. ||2|| The account of the recording angels, Chitr and Gupt, and the account with the Messenger of Death is totally erased. ||2|| ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਪਿਓ ਮਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਲਗਿ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਸਾਧ ਜਨਾ ਕੀ ॥ हरि के संत जपिओ मनि हरि हरि लगि संगति साध जना की ॥ Har ké sanṫ japi▫o man har har lag sangaṫ saaḋʰ janaa kee. The Saints of the Lord meditate on the Lord in their minds; they join the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. ਦਿਨੀਅਰੁ ਸੂਰੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਅਗਨਿ ਬੁਝਾਨੀ ਸਿਵ ਚਰਿਓ ਚੰਦੁ ਚੰਦਾਕੀ ॥੩॥ दिनीअरु सूरु त्रिसना अगनि बुझानी सिव चरिओ चंदु चंदाकी ॥३॥ Ḋinee▫ar soor ṫarisnaa agan bujʰaanee siv chari▫o chanḋ chanḋaakee. ||3|| The piercing sun of desires has set, and the cool moon has risen. ||3|| ਤੁਮ ਵਡ ਪੁਰਖ ਵਡ ਅਗਮ ਅਗੋਚਰ ਤੁਮ ਆਪੇ ਆਪਿ ਅਪਾਕੀ ॥ तुम वड पुरख वड अगम अगोचर तुम आपे आपि अपाकी ॥ Ṫum vad purakʰ vad agam agochar ṫum aapé aap apaakee. You are the Greatest Being, absolutely unapproachable and unfathomable; You created the Universe from Your Own Being. ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕੀਜੈ ਕਰਿ ਦਾਸਨਿ ਦਾਸ ਦਸਾਕੀ ॥੪॥੬॥ जन नानक कउ प्रभ किरपा कीजै करि दासनि दास दसाकी ॥४॥६॥ Jan Naanak ka▫o parabʰ kirpaa keejæ kar ḋaasan ḋaas ḋasaakee. ||4||6|| O God, take pity on servant Nanak, and make him the slave of the slave of Your slaves. ||4||6||
