ਜਉ ਤੁਮ ਗਿਰਿਵਰ ਤਉ ਹਮ ਮੋਰਾ ॥ जउ तुम गिरिवर तउ हम मोरा ॥ Ja▫o ṫum girivar ṫa▫o ham moraa. If You are the mountain, Lord, then I am the peacock. ਜਉ ਤੁਮ ਚੰਦ ਤਉ ਹਮ ਭਏ ਹੈ ਚਕੋਰਾ ॥੧॥ जउ तुम चंद तउ हम भए है चकोरा ॥१॥ Ja▫o ṫum chanḋ ṫa▫o ham bʰa▫é hæ chakoraa. ||1|| If You are the moon, then I am the partridge in love with it. ||1|| ਮਾਧਵੇ ਤੁਮ ਨ ਤੋਰਹੁ ਤਉ ਹਮ ਨਹੀ ਤੋਰਹਿ ॥ माधवे तुम न तोरहु तउ हम नही तोरहि ॥ Maaḋʰvé ṫum na ṫorahu ṫa▫o ham nahee ṫorėh. O Lord, if You will not break with me, then I will not break with You. ਤੁਮ ਸਿਉ ਤੋਰਿ ਕਵਨ ਸਿਉ ਜੋਰਹਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ तुम सिउ तोरि कवन सिउ जोरहि ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Ṫum si▫o ṫor kavan si▫o jorėh. ||1|| rahaa▫o. For, if I were to break with You, with whom would I then join? ||1||Pause|| ਜਉ ਤੁਮ ਦੀਵਰਾ ਤਉ ਹਮ ਬਾਤੀ ॥ जउ तुम दीवरा तउ हम बाती ॥ Ja▫o ṫum ḋeevraa ṫa▫o ham baaṫee. If You are the lamp, then I am the wick. ਜਉ ਤੁਮ ਤੀਰਥ ਤਉ ਹਮ ਜਾਤੀ ॥੨॥ जउ तुम तीरथ तउ हम जाती ॥२॥ Ja▫o ṫum ṫiraṫʰ ṫa▫o ham jaaṫee. ||2|| If You are the sacred place of pilgrimage, then I am the pilgrim. ||2|| ਸਾਚੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਹਮ ਤੁਮ ਸਿਉ ਜੋਰੀ ॥ साची प्रीति हम तुम सिउ जोरी ॥ Saachee pareeṫ ham ṫum si▫o joree. I am joined in true love with You, Lord. ਤੁਮ ਸਿਉ ਜੋਰਿ ਅਵਰ ਸੰਗਿ ਤੋਰੀ ॥੩॥ तुम सिउ जोरि अवर संगि तोरी ॥३॥ Ṫum si▫o jor avar sang ṫoree. ||3|| I am joined with You, and I have broken with all others. ||3|| ਜਹ ਜਹ ਜਾਉ ਤਹਾ ਤੇਰੀ ਸੇਵਾ ॥ जह जह जाउ तहा तेरी सेवा ॥ Jah jah jaa▫o ṫahaa ṫéree sévaa. Wherever I go, there I serve You. ਤੁਮ ਸੋ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਅਉਰੁ ਨ ਦੇਵਾ ॥੪॥ तुम सो ठाकुरु अउरु न देवा ॥४॥ Ṫum so tʰaakur a▫or na ḋévaa. ||4|| There is no other Lord Master than You, O Divine Lord. ||4|| ਤੁਮਰੇ ਭਜਨ ਕਟਹਿ ਜਮ ਫਾਂਸਾ ॥ तुमरे भजन कटहि जम फांसा ॥ Ṫumré bʰajan katėh jam faaⁿsaa. Meditating, vibrating upon You, the noose of death is cut away. ਹਾਡ ਮਾਸ ਨਾੜੀ ਕੋ ਪਿੰਜਰੁ ਪੰਖੀ ਬਸੈ ਬਿਚਾਰਾ ॥੧॥ हाड मास नाड़ीं को पिंजरु पंखी बसै बिचारा ॥१॥ Haad maas naaṛeeⁿ ko pinjar pankʰee basæ bichaaraa. ||1|| The framework is made up of bones, flesh and veins; the poor soul-bird dwells within it. ||1||
