ਮਹਲੁ ਕੁਮਹਲੁ ਨ ਜਾਣਨੀ ਮੂਰਖ ਅਪਣੈ ਸੁਆਇ ॥ महलु कुमहलु न जाणनी मूरख अपणै सुआइ ॥ Mahal kumhal na jaaṇnee moorakʰ apṇæ su▫aa▫é. The fools do not know the difference between good and bad; they are deceived by their self-interests. ਮਃ ੩ ॥ मः ३ ॥ Mėhlaa 3. Third Mehl: ਸਬਦੁ ਚੀਨਹਿ ਤਾ ਮਹਲੁ ਲਹਹਿ ਜੋਤੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥ सबदु चीनहि ता महलु लहहि जोती जोति समाइ ॥ Sabaḋ cheenėh ṫaa mahal lahėh joṫee joṫ samaa▫é. But if they contemplate the Word of the Shabad, they obtain the Mansion of the Lord’s Presence, and their light merges in the Light. ਸਦਾ ਸਚੇ ਕਾ ਭਉ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਤਾ ਸਭਾ ਸੋਝੀ ਪਾਇ ॥ सदा सचे का भउ मनि वसै ता सभा सोझी पाइ ॥ Saḋaa saché kaa bʰa▫o man vasæ ṫaa sabʰaa sojʰee paa▫é. The Fear of God is always on their minds, and so they come to understand everything. ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਅਪਣੈ ਘਰਿ ਵਰਤਦਾ ਆਪੇ ਲਏ ਮਿਲਾਇ ॥ सतिगुरु अपणै घरि वरतदा आपे लए मिलाइ ॥ Saṫgur apṇæ gʰar varaṫḋaa aapé la▫é milaa▫é. The True Guru is pervading the homes within; He Himself blends them with the Lord. ਨਾਨਕ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਮਿਲਿਐ ਸਭ ਪੂਰੀ ਪਈ ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰੇ ਰਜਾਇ ॥੨॥ नानक सतिगुरि मिलिऐ सभ पूरी पई जिस नो किरपा करे रजाइ ॥२॥ Naanak saṫgur mili▫æ sabʰ pooree pa▫ee jis no kirpaa karé rajaa▫é. ||2|| O Nanak! They meet the True Guru, and all their desires are fulfilled, if the Lord grants His Grace and so wills. ||2||
