ਜਾ ਕੈ ਸਿਮਰਣਿ ਹੋਇ ਅਨੰਦਾ ਬਿਨਸੈ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਭੈ ਦੁਖੀ ॥ जा कै सिमरणि होइ अनंदा बिनसै जनम मरण भै दुखी ॥ Jaa kæ simraṇ ho▫é ananḋaa binsæ janam maraṇ bʰæ ḋukʰee. Meditating on Him, one is in ecstasy; the pains of birth and death and fear are removed. ਸੋਰਠਿ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ सोरठि महला ५ ॥ Soratʰ mėhlaa 5. Sorat’h, Fifth Mehl: ਜਾ ਕੋ ਨਾਮੁ ਲੈਤ ਤੂ ਸੁਖੀ ॥ जा को नामु लैत तू सुखी ॥ Jaa ko naam læṫ ṫoo sukʰee. Chanting His Name, you shall be at peace. ਚਾਰਿ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਨਵ ਨਿਧਿ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਨ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਭੁਖੀ ॥੧॥ चारि पदारथ नव निधि पावहि बहुरि न त्रिसना भुखी ॥१॥ Chaar paḋaaraṫʰ nav niḋʰ paavahi bahur na ṫarisnaa bʰukʰee. ||1|| The four cardinal blessings, and the nine treasures are received; you shall never feel hunger or thirst again. ||1|| ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਧਿਆਵਹੁ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਕਉ ਮਨ ਤਨ ਜੀਅਰੇ ਮੁਖੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ सासि सासि धिआवहु ठाकुर कउ मन तन जीअरे मुखी ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Saas saas ḋʰi▫aavahu tʰaakur ka▫o man ṫan jee▫aré mukʰee. ||1|| rahaa▫o. With each and every breath, meditate on the Lord and Master, O my soul, with mind, body and mouth. ||1||Pause|| ਸਾਂਤਿ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਹੋਵਹਿ ਮਨ ਸੀਤਲ ਅਗਨਿ ਨ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਧੁਖੀ ॥ सांति पावहि होवहि मन सीतल अगनि न अंतरि धुखी ॥ Saaⁿṫ paavahi hovėh man seeṫal agan na anṫar ḋʰukʰee. You shall find peace, and your mind shall be soothed and cooled; the fire of desire shall not burn within you. ਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਿਖਾਇਆ ਜਲਿ ਥਲਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਭਵਣਿ ਰੁਖੀ ॥੨॥੨॥੩੦॥ गुर नानक कउ प्रभू दिखाइआ जलि थलि त्रिभवणि रुखी ॥२॥२॥३०॥ Gur Naanak ka▫o parabʰoo ḋikʰaa▫i▫aa jal ṫʰal ṫaribʰavaṇ rukʰee. ||2||2||30|| The Guru has revealed God to Nanak, in the three worlds, in the water, the earth and the woods. ||2||2||30||
