ਜੇਤੀ ਸਮਗ੍ਰੀ ਦੇਖਹੁ ਰੇ ਨਰ ਤੇਤੀ ਹੀ ਛਡਿ ਜਾਨੀ ॥ जेती समग्री देखहु रे नर तेती ही छडि जानी ॥ Jéṫee samagree ḋékʰhu ré nar ṫéṫee hee chʰad jaanee. All the things that you see, O man, you shall have to leave behind. ਸੋਰਠਿ ਮਃ ੫ ॥ सोरठि मः ५ ॥ Soratʰ mėhlaa 5. Sorat’h, Fifth Mehl: ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਸੰਗਿ ਕਰਿ ਬਿਉਹਾਰਾ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਪਦੁ ਨਿਰਬਾਨੀ ॥੧॥ राम नाम संगि करि बिउहारा पावहि पदु निरबानी ॥१॥ Raam naam sang kar bi▫uhaaraa paavahi paḋ nirbaanee. ||1|| Let your dealings be with the Lord’s Name, and you shall attain the state of Nirvana. ||1|| ਪਿਆਰੇ ਤੂ ਮੇਰੋ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ॥ पिआरे तू मेरो सुखदाता ॥ Pi▫aaré ṫoo méro sukʰ▫ḋaaṫa. O my Beloved, You are the Giver of peace. ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਦੀਆ ਉਪਦੇਸਾ ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਸੰਗਿ ਪਰਾਤਾ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ गुरि पूरै दीआ उपदेसा तुम ही संगि पराता ॥ रहाउ ॥ Gur pooræ ḋee▫aa upḋésaa ṫum hee sang paraaṫaa. Rahaa▫o. The Perfect Guru has given me these Teachings, and I am attuned to You. ||Pause|| ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਲੋਭ ਮੋਹ ਅਭਿਮਾਨਾ ਤਾ ਮਹਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਨਹੀ ਪਾਈਐ ॥ काम क्रोध लोभ मोह अभिमाना ता महि सुखु नही पाईऐ ॥ Kaam kroḋʰ lobʰ moh abʰimaanaa ṫaa mėh sukʰ nahee paa▫ee▫æ. In sexual desire, anger, greed, emotional attachment and self-conceit, peace is not to be found. ਹੋਹੁ ਰੇਨ ਤੂ ਸਗਲ ਕੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਤਉ ਅਨਦ ਮੰਗਲ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਈਐ ॥੨॥ होहु रेन तू सगल की मेरे मन तउ अनद मंगल सुखु पाईऐ ॥२॥ Hohu rén ṫoo sagal kee méré man ṫa▫o anaḋ mangal sukʰ paa▫ee▫æ. ||2|| So, be the dust of the feet of all, O my mind! And then you shall find bliss, joy and peace. ||2|| ਘਾਲ ਨ ਭਾਨੈ ਅੰਤਰ ਬਿਧਿ ਜਾਨੈ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਕਰਿ ਮਨ ਸੇਵਾ ॥ घाल न भानै अंतर बिधि जानै ता की करि मन सेवा ॥ Gʰaal na bʰaanæ anṫar biḋʰ jaanæ ṫaa kee kar man sévaa. He knows the condition of your inner self, and He will not let your work go in vain - serve Him, O mind. ਕਰਿ ਪੂਜਾ ਹੋਮਿ ਇਹੁ ਮਨੂਆ ਅਕਾਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਗੁਰਦੇਵਾ ॥੩॥ करि पूजा होमि इहु मनूआ अकाल मूरति गुरदेवा ॥३॥ Kar poojaa hom ih manoo▫aa akaal mooraṫ gurḋévaa. ||3|| Worship Him, and dedicate this mind unto Him, the Image of the Undying Lord, the Divine Guru. ||3|| ਗੋਬਿਦ ਦਾਮੋਦਰ ਦਇਆਲ ਮਾਧਵੇ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰਾ ॥ गोबिद दामोदर दइआल माधवे पारब्रहम निरंकारा ॥ Gobiḋ ḋaamoḋar ḋa▫i▫aal maaḋʰvé paarbarahm nirankaaraa. He is the Lord of the Universe, the Compassionate Lord, the Supreme Lord God, the Formless Lord. ਨਾਮੁ ਵਰਤਣਿ ਨਾਮੋ ਵਾਲੇਵਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਅਧਾਰਾ ॥੪॥੯॥੨੦॥ नामु वरतणि नामो वालेवा नामु नानक प्रान अधारा ॥४॥९॥२०॥ Naam varṫaṇ naamo vaalévaa naam Naanak paraan aḋʰaaraa. ||4||9||20|| The Naam is my merchandise, the Naam is my nourishment; the Naam, O Nanak! Is the Support of my breath of life. ||4||9||20||
