ਕਲਿਜੁਗ ਮਹਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਭਗਤੀ ਖਟਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਉਤਮ ਪਦੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥ कलिजुग महि नामु निधानु भगती खटिआ हरि उतम पदु पाइआ ॥ Kalijug mėh naam niḋʰaan bʰagṫee kʰati▫aa har uṫam paḋ paa▫i▫aa. In the Dark Age of Kali Yuga, the devotees earn the treasure of the Naam, the Name of the Lord; they obtain the supreme-status of the Lord. ਸਲੋਕੁ ਮਃ ੩ ॥ सलोकु मः ३ ॥ Salok mėhlaa 3. Shalok, Third Mehl: ਵਿਚੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਗੁਰ ਬਚਨਿ ਉਦਾਸੀ ਹਉਮੈ ਮੋਹੁ ਜਲਾਇਆ ॥ विचे ग्रिह गुर बचनि उदासी हउमै मोहु जलाइआ ॥ viché garih gur bachan uḋaasee ha▫umæ moh jalaa▫i▫aa. Within the home of their own selves, they remain unattached, through the Guru’s Teachings; they burn away egotism and emotional attachment. ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸੇਵਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਮਨਿ ਵਸਾਇਆ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥ सतिगुर सेवि हरि नामु मनि वसाइआ अनदिनु नामु धिआइआ ॥ Saṫgur sév har naam man vasaa▫i▫aa an▫ḋin naam ḋʰi▫aa▫i▫aa. Serving the True Guru, they enshrine the Lord’s Name in their minds, and they meditate on the Naam, night and day. ਆਪਿ ਤਰਿਆ ਕੁਲ ਜਗਤੁ ਤਰਾਇਆ ਧੰਨੁ ਜਣੇਦੀ ਮਾਇਆ ॥ आपि तरिआ कुल जगतु तराइआ धंनु जणेदी माइआ ॥ Aap ṫari▫aa kul jagaṫ ṫaraa▫i▫aa ḋʰan jaṇéḋee maa▫i▫aa. They save themselves, and they save the whole world. Blessed are the mothers who gave birth to them. ਐਸਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੋਈ ਪਾਏ ਜਿਸੁ ਧੁਰਿ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਹਰਿ ਲਿਖਿ ਪਾਇਆ ॥ ऐसा सतिगुरु सोई पाए जिसु धुरि मसतकि हरि लिखि पाइआ ॥ Æsaa saṫgur so▫ee paa▫é jis ḋʰur masṫak har likʰ paa▫i▫aa. He alone finds such a True Guru, upon whose forehead the Lord inscribed such preordained destiny. ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਗੁਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਟਹੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਭ੍ਰਮਿ ਭੁਲਾ ਮਾਰਗਿ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੧॥ जन नानक बलिहारी गुर आपणे विटहु जिनि भ्रमि भुला मारगि पाइआ ॥१॥ Jan Naanak balihaaree gur aapṇé vitahu jin bʰaram bʰulaa maarag paa▫i▫aa. ||1|| Servant Nanak is a sacrifice to his Guru; when he was wandering in doubt, He placed him on the Path. ||1||
