ਬਿਨੁ ਬੂਝੇ ਵਡਾ ਫੇਰੁ ਪਇਆ ਫਿਰਿ ਆਵੈ ਜਾਈ ॥ बिनु बूझे वडा फेरु पइआ फिरि आवै जाई ॥ Bin būjẖe vadā fer pa▫i▫ā fir āvai jā▫ī. Without understanding, one must wander around the cycle of reincarnation, and continue coming and going. ਪਉੜੀ ॥ पउड़ी ॥ Pa▫oṛī. Pauree: ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਨ ਕੀਤੀਆ ਅੰਤਿ ਗਇਆ ਪਛੁਤਾਈ ॥ सतिगुर की सेवा न कीतीआ अंति गइआ पछुताई ॥ Saṯgur kī sevā na kīṯī▫ā anṯ ga▫i▫ā pacẖẖuṯā▫ī. One who has not served the True Guru, shall depart regretting and repenting in the end. ਆਪਣੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰੇ ਗੁਰੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਆਪੁ ਗਵਾਈ ॥ आपणी किरपा करे गुरु पाईऐ विचहु आपु गवाई ॥ Āpṇī kirpā kare gur pā▫ī▫ai vicẖahu āp gavā▫ī. But if the Lord shows His Mercy, one finds the Guru, and ego is banished from within. ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਭੁਖ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਉਤਰੈ ਸੁਖੁ ਵਸੈ ਮਨਿ ਆਈ ॥ त्रिसना भुख विचहु उतरै सुखु वसै मनि आई ॥ Ŧarisnā bẖukẖ vicẖahu uṯrai sukẖ vasai man ā▫ī. Hunger and thirst depart from within, and peace comes to dwell in the mind. ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਸਾਲਾਹੀਐ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ ॥੮॥ सदा सदा सालाहीऐ हिरदै लिव लाई ॥८॥ Saḏā saḏā salāhī▫ai hirḏai liv lā▫ī. ||8|| Forever and ever, praise Him with love in your heart. ||8||
