ਜਗਿ ਜੀਵਨੁ ਐਸਾ ਸੁਪਨੇ ਜੈਸਾ ਜੀਵਨੁ ਸੁਪਨ ਸਮਾਨੰ ॥ जगि जीवनु ऐसा सुपने जैसा जीवनु सुपन समानं ॥ Jag jeevan æsaa supné jæsaa jeevan supan samaanaⁿ. O Father, I have enshrined love and affection for Maya, ਸਾਚੁ ਕਰਿ ਹਮ ਗਾਠਿ ਦੀਨੀ ਛੋਡਿ ਪਰਮ ਨਿਧਾਨੰ ॥੧॥ साचु करि हम गाठि दीनी छोडि परम निधानं ॥१॥ Saach kar ham gaatʰ ḋeenee chʰod param niḋʰaanaⁿ. ||1|| Believing it to be true, I grasped at it, and abandoned the supreme treasure. ||1|| ਜਿਨਿ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਰਤਨੁ ਹਿਰਿ ਲੀਨੑ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ जिनि गिआनु रतनु हिरि लीन्ह ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Jin gi▫aan raṫan hir leenĥ. ||1|| rahaa▫o. which has taken the jewel of spiritual wisdom away from me. ||1||Pause|| ਨੈਨ ਦੇਖਿ ਪਤੰਗੁ ਉਰਝੈ ਪਸੁ ਨ ਦੇਖੈ ਆਗਿ ॥ नैन देखि पतंगु उरझै पसु न देखै आगि ॥ Næn ḋékʰ paṫang urjʰæ pas na ḋékʰæ aag. The moth sees with its eyes, but it still becomes entangled; the insect does not see the fire. ਕਾਲ ਫਾਸ ਨ ਮੁਗਧੁ ਚੇਤੈ ਕਨਿਕ ਕਾਮਿਨਿ ਲਾਗਿ ॥੨॥ काल फास न मुगधु चेतै कनिक कामिनि लागि ॥२॥ Kaal faas na mugaḋʰ chéṫæ kanik kaamin laag. ||2|| Attached to gold and woman, the fool does not think of the noose of Death. ||2|| ਕਰਿ ਬਿਚਾਰੁ ਬਿਕਾਰ ਪਰਹਰਿ ਤਰਨ ਤਾਰਨ ਸੋਇ ॥ करि बिचारु बिकार परहरि तरन तारन सोइ ॥ Kar bichaar bikaar par▫har ṫaran ṫaaran so▫é. Reflect upon this, and abandon sin; the Lord is a boat to carry you across. ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਜਗਜੀਵਨੁ ਐਸਾ ਦੁਤੀਅ ਨਾਹੀ ਕੋਇ ॥੩॥੫॥੨੭॥ कहि कबीर जगजीवनु ऐसा दुतीअ नाही कोइ ॥३॥५॥२७॥ Kahi Kabeer jagjeevan æsaa ḋuṫee▫a naahee ko▫é. ||3||5||27|| Says Kabir, such is the Lord, the Life of the World; there is no one equal to Him. ||3||5||27||
