ਆਸਾਵਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ आसावरी महला ५ ॥ Aasaavaree mėhlaa 5. Aasaavaree, Fifth Mehl: ਮਨਸਾ ਏਕ ਮਾਨਿ ਹਾਂ ॥ मनसा एक मानि हां ॥ Mansaa ék maan haaⁿ. Cherish one desire only: ਗੁਰ ਸਿਉ ਨੇਤ ਧਿਆਨਿ ਹਾਂ ॥ गुर सिउ नेत धिआनि हां ॥ Gur si▫o néṫ ḋʰi▫aan haaⁿ. meditate continually on the Guru. ਦ੍ਰਿੜੁ ਸੰਤ ਮੰਤ ਗਿਆਨਿ ਹਾਂ ॥ द्रिड़ु संत मंत गिआनि हां ॥ Ḋariṛ sanṫ manṫ gi▫aan haaⁿ. Install the wisdom of the Saints’ Mantra. ਸੇਵਾ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਾਨਿ ਹਾਂ ॥ सेवा गुर चरानि हां ॥ Sévaa gur charaan haaⁿ. Serve the Feet of the Guru, ਤਉ ਮਿਲੀਐ ਗੁਰ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ तउ मिलीऐ गुर क्रिपानि मेरे मना ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Ṫa▫o milee▫æ gur kirpaan méré manaa. ||1|| rahaa▫o. and you shall meet Him, by Guru’s Grace, O my mind. ||1||Pause|| ਟੂਟੇ ਅਨ ਭਰਾਨਿ ਹਾਂ ॥ टूटे अन भरानि हां ॥ Tooté an bʰaraan haaⁿ. All doubts are dispelled, ਰਵਿਓ ਸਰਬ ਥਾਨਿ ਹਾਂ ॥ रविओ सरब थानि हां ॥ Ravi▫o sarab ṫʰaan haaⁿ. and the Lord is seen to be pervading all places. ਲਹਿਓ ਜਮ ਭਇਆਨਿ ਹਾਂ ॥ लहिओ जम भइआनि हां ॥ Lahi▫o jam bʰa▫i▫aan haaⁿ. The fear of death is dispelled, ਪਾਇਓ ਪੇਡ ਥਾਨਿ ਹਾਂ ॥ पाइओ पेड थानि हां ॥ Paa▫i▫o péd ṫʰaan haaⁿ. and the primal place is obtained. ਤਉ ਚੂਕੀ ਸਗਲ ਕਾਨਿ ॥੧॥ तउ चूकी सगल कानि ॥१॥ Ṫa▫o chookee sagal kaan. ||1|| Then, all subservience is removed. ||1|| ਲਹਨੋ ਜਿਸੁ ਮਥਾਨਿ ਹਾਂ ॥ लहनो जिसु मथानि हां ॥ Lahno jis maṫʰaan haaⁿ. One who has such destiny recorded upon his forehead, obtains it; ਭੈ ਪਾਵਕ ਪਾਰਿ ਪਰਾਨਿ ਹਾਂ ॥ भै पावक पारि परानि हां ॥ Bʰæ paavak paar paraan haaⁿ. he crosses over the terrifying ocean of fire. ਨਿਜ ਘਰਿ ਤਿਸਹਿ ਥਾਨਿ ਹਾਂ ॥ निज घरि तिसहि थानि हां ॥ Nij gʰar ṫisėh ṫʰaan haaⁿ. He obtains a place in the home of his own self, ਹਰਿ ਰਸ ਰਸਹਿ ਮਾਨਿ ਹਾਂ ॥ हरि रस रसहि मानि हां ॥ Har ras rasėh maan haaⁿ. and enjoys the most sublime essence of the Lord’s essence. ਲਾਥੀ ਤਿਸ ਭੁਖਾਨਿ ਹਾਂ ॥ लाथी तिस भुखानि हां ॥ Laaṫʰee ṫis bʰukaan haaⁿ. His hunger is appeased; ਨਾਨਕ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਇਓ ਰੇ ਮਨਾ ॥੨॥੨॥੧੫੮॥ नानक सहजि समाइओ रे मना ॥२॥२॥१५८॥ Naanak sahj samaa▫i▫o ré manaa. ||2||2||158|| Nanak, he is absorbed in celestial peace, O my mind. ||2||2||158||
