By The Grace Of The True Guru: ਆਸਾ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ਘਰੁ ੧੫ ਪੜਤਾਲ आसा महला ५ घरु १५ पड़ताल Aasaa mėhlaa 5 gʰar 15 paṛ▫ṫaal Aasaa, Fifth Mehl, Fifteenth House, Partaal: ਪਕਰਿ ਕੇਸ ਜਮਿ ਉਠਾਰਿਓ ਤਦ ਹੀ ਘਰਿ ਜਾਵੈ ॥੧॥ पकरि केस जमि उठारिओ तद ही घरि जावै ॥१॥ Pakar kés jam utʰaari▫o ṫaḋ hee gʰar jaavæ. ||1|| Seizing him by the hair, the Messenger of Death pulls him up; then, he comes to his senses. ||1|| ਬਿਕਾਰ ਮਾਇਆ ਮਾਦਿ ਸੋਇਓ ਸੂਝ ਬੂਝ ਨ ਆਵੈ ॥ बिकार माइआ मादि सोइओ सूझ बूझ न आवै ॥ Bikaar maa▫i▫aa maaḋ so▫i▫o soojʰ boojʰ na aavæ. He sleeps, intoxicated by corruption and Maya; he does not come to realize or understand. ਖਿਨ ਭੰਗੁਨਾ ਕੈ ਮਾਨਿ ਮਾਤੇ ਅਸੁਰ ਜਾਣਹਿ ਨਾਹੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ खिन भंगुना कै मानि माते असुर जाणहि नाही ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Kʰin bʰangunaa kæ maan maaṫé asur jaaṇėh naahee. ||1|| rahaa▫o. They are intoxicated by their pride in those things which shall be destroyed in an instant; those demons do not understand. ||1||Pause|| ਲੋਭ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਬਿਖੈ ਲਾਗੇ ਹਿਰਿ ਵਿਤ ਚਿਤ ਦੁਖਾਹੀ ॥ लोभ बिखिआ बिखै लागे हिरि वित चित दुखाही ॥ Lobʰ bikʰi▫aa bikʰæ laagé hir viṫ chiṫ ḋukʰaahee. Those who are attached to the poison of greed and sin grab at the wealth of others; they only bring pain on themselves. ਬੇਦ ਸਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਜਨ ਪੁਕਾਰਹਿ ਸੁਨੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਡੋਰਾ ॥ बेद सासत्र जन पुकारहि सुनै नाही डोरा ॥ Béḋ saasṫar jan pukaarėh sunæ naahee doraa. The Vedas, the Shastras and the holy men proclaim it, but the deaf do not hear it. ਨਿਪਟਿ ਬਾਜੀ ਹਾਰਿ ਮੂਕਾ ਪਛੁਤਾਇਓ ਮਨਿ ਭੋਰਾ ॥੨॥ निपटि बाजी हारि मूका पछुताइओ मनि भोरा ॥२॥ Nipat baajee haar mookaa pachʰuṫaa▫i▫o man bʰoraa. ||2|| When the game of life is over, and he has lost, and he breathes his last, then the fool regrets and repents in his mind. ||2|| ਡਾਨੁ ਸਗਲ ਗੈਰ ਵਜਹਿ ਭਰਿਆ ਦੀਵਾਨ ਲੇਖੈ ਨ ਪਰਿਆ ॥ डानु सगल गैर वजहि भरिआ दीवान लेखै न परिआ ॥ Daan sagal gær vajėh bʰari▫aa ḋeevaan lékʰæ na pari▫aa. He paid the fine, but it is in vain - in the Court of the Lord, his account is not credited. ਜੇਂਹ ਕਾਰਜਿ ਰਹੈ ਓਲੑਾ ਸੋਇ ਕਾਮੁ ਨ ਕਰਿਆ ॥੩॥ जेंह कारजि रहै ओल्हा सोइ कामु न करिआ ॥३॥ Jéⁿh kaaraj rahæ olĥaa so▫é kaam na kari▫aa. ||3|| Those deeds which would have covered him - those deeds, he has not done. ||3|| ਐਸੋ ਜਗੁ ਮੋਹਿ ਗੁਰਿ ਦਿਖਾਇਓ ਤਉ ਏਕ ਕੀਰਤਿ ਗਾਇਆ ॥ ऐसो जगु मोहि गुरि दिखाइओ तउ एक कीरति गाइआ ॥ Æso jag mohi gur ḋikʰaa▫i▫o ṫa▫o ék keeraṫ gaa▫i▫aa. The Guru has shown me the world to be thus; I sing the Kirtan of the Praises of the One Lord. ਮਾਨੁ ਤਾਨੁ ਤਜਿ ਸਿਆਨਪ ਸਰਣਿ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਆਇਆ ॥੪॥੧॥੧੫੨॥ मानु तानु तजि सिआनप सरणि नानकु आइआ ॥४॥१॥१५२॥ Maan ṫaan ṫaj si▫aanap saraṇ Naanak aa▫i▫aa. ||4||1||152|| Renouncing his pride in strength and cleverness, Nanak has come to the Lord’s Sanctuary. ||4||1||152|| ਸਾਧ ਸੰਤ ਮਨਾਏ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਪਾਏ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਏ ਪੰਚ ਨਾਦ ਤੂਰ ਬਜਾਏ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ साध संत मनाए प्रिअ पाए गुन गाए पंच नाद तूर बजाए ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Saaḋʰ sanṫ manaa▫é pari▫a paa▫é gun gaa▫é panch naaḋ ṫoor bajaa▫é. ||1|| rahaa▫o. and pleasing the Saints and holy men, obtain the Beloved Lord and sing His Glorious Praises; play the sound current of the Naad with the five instruments. ||1||Pause|| ਬਾਪਾਰਿ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਨਾਏ ॥ बापारि गोविंद नाए ॥ Baapaar govinḋ naa▫é.
