ਬਾਂਛਤ ਨਾਹੀ ਸੁ ਬੇਲਾ ਆਈ ॥ बांछत नाही सु बेला आई ॥ Baaⁿchʰaṫ naahee so bélaa aa▫ee. That time, which the mortal does not wish for, eventually comes. ਆਸਾ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ आसा महला ५ ॥ Aasaa mėhlaa 5. Aasaa, Fifth Mehl: ਠੰਢੀ ਤਾਤੀ ਮਿਟੀ ਖਾਈ ॥ ठंढी ताती मिटी खाई ॥ Tʰadʰee ṫaaṫee mitee kʰaa▫ee. The body is consumed by water, fire and earth. ਓਹੁ ਨ ਬਾਲਾ ਬੂਢਾ ਭਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ओहु न बाला बूढा भाई ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Oh na baalaa boodʰaa bʰaa▫ee. ||1|| rahaa▫o. But the soul is neither young nor old, O Siblings of Destiny. ||1||Pause|| ਬਿਨੁ ਹੁਕਮੈ ਕਿਉ ਬੁਝੈ ਬੁਝਾਈ ॥੧॥ बिनु हुकमै किउ बुझै बुझाई ॥१॥ Bin hukmæ ki▫o bujʰæ bujʰaa▫ee. ||1|| Without the Lord’s Command, how can understanding be understood? ||1|| ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਸਾਧ ਸਰਣਾਈ ॥ नानक दास साध सरणाई ॥ Naanak ḋaas saaḋʰ sarṇaa▫ee. Servant Nanak has entered the Sanctuary of the Holy. ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਭਉ ਪਾਰਿ ਪਰਾਈ ॥੨॥੩੩॥ गुर प्रसादि भउ पारि पराई ॥२॥३३॥ Gur parsaaḋ bʰa▫o paar paraa▫ee. ||2||33|| By Guru’s Grace, he has shaken off the fear of death. ||2||33||
