ਆਸਾ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ॥ आसा महला ३ ॥ Āsā mėhlā 3. Aasaa, Third Mehl: ਭਗਤਿ ਰਤਾ ਜਨੁ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਇ ॥ भगति रता जनु सहजि सुभाइ ॥ Bẖagaṯ raṯā jan sahj subẖā▫e. The Lord's humble servant is imbued with devotional love, effortlessly and spontaneously. ਮਨਮੁਖ ਰੁੰਨੇ ਅਪਨੀ ਪਤਿ ਖੋਇ ॥੧॥ मनमुख रुंने अपनी पति खोइ ॥१॥ Manmukẖ runne apnī paṯ kẖo▫e. ||1|| The self-willed manmukhs lose their honor, and cry out in pain. ||1|| ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਭੈ ਸਾਚੈ ਸਾਚਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥ गुर कै भै साचै साचि समाइ ॥ Gur kai bẖai sācẖai sācẖ samā▫e. Through awe and fear of the Guru, he is truly absorbed in the True One. ਬਿਨੁ ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਭਗਤਿ ਨ ਹੋਇ ॥ बिनु गुर पूरे भगति न होइ ॥ Bin gur pūre bẖagaṯ na ho▫e. Without the Perfect Guru, devotional love is not obtained. ਸਦਾ ਅਨੰਦੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਜੋ ਇਛੈ ਸੋਈ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ सदा अनंदु होवै दिनु राती जो इछै सोई फलु पाइ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Saḏā anand hovai ḏin rāṯī jo icẖẖai so▫ī fal pā▫e. ||1|| rahā▫o. You shall always be in ecstasy, day and night, and you shall obtain the fruits of your desires. ||1||Pause|| ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਤੇ ਪੂਰਾ ਪਾਏ ॥ गुर पूरे ते पूरा पाए ॥ Gur pūre ṯe pūrā pā▫e. Through the Perfect Guru, the Perfect Lord is obtained, ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿ ਸਦਾ ਧਿਆਇ ॥ मेरे मन हरि जपि सदा धिआइ ॥ Mere man har jap saḏā ḏẖi▫ā▫e. O my mind, chant the Lord's Name, and meditate on Him forever. ਹਿਰਦੈ ਸਬਦੁ ਸਚੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਸਾਏ ॥ हिरदै सबदु सचु नामु वसाए ॥ Hirḏai sabaḏ sacẖ nām vasā▫e. and the Shabad, the True Name, is enshrined in the mind. ਅੰਤਰੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਸਰਿ ਨਾਏ ॥ अंतरु निरमलु अम्रित सरि नाए ॥ Anṯar nirmal amriṯ sar nā▫e. One who bathes in the Pool of Ambrosial Nectar becomes immaculately pure within. ਸਦਾ ਸੂਚੇ ਸਾਚਿ ਸਮਾਏ ॥੨॥ सदा सूचे साचि समाए ॥२॥ Saḏā sūcẖe sācẖ samā▫e. ||2|| He becomes forever sanctified, and is absorbed in the True Lord. ||2|| ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਵੇਖੈ ਸਦਾ ਹਜੂਰਿ ॥ हरि प्रभु वेखै सदा हजूरि ॥ Har parabẖ vekẖai saḏā hajūr. He sees the Lord God ever-present. ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਭਰਪੂਰਿ ॥ गुर परसादि रहिआ भरपूरि ॥ Gur parsāḏ rahi▫ā bẖarpūr. By Guru's Grace, he sees the Lord permeating and pervading everywhere. ਜਹਾ ਜਾਉ ਤਹ ਵੇਖਾ ਸੋਇ ॥ जहा जाउ तह वेखा सोइ ॥ Jahā jā▫o ṯah vekẖā so▫e. Wherever I go, there I see Him. ਗੁਰੁ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਭੰਡਾਰ ॥ गुरु सागरु पूरा भंडार ॥ Gur sāgar pūrā bẖandār. The Guru is the ocean, the perfect treasure, ਗੁਰ ਬਿਨੁ ਦਾਤਾ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥੩॥ गुर बिनु दाता अवरु न कोइ ॥३॥ Gur bin ḏāṯā avar na ko▫e. ||3|| Without the Guru, there is no other Giver. ||3|| ਊਤਮ ਰਤਨ ਜਵਾਹਰ ਅਪਾਰ ॥ ऊतम रतन जवाहर अपार ॥ Ūṯam raṯan javāhar apār. the most precious jewel and priceless ruby. ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਦੇਵਣਹਾਰੁ ॥ गुर परसादी देवणहारु ॥ Gur parsādī ḏevaṇhār. By Guru's Grace, the Great Giver blesses us; ਨਾਨਕ ਬਖਸੇ ਬਖਸਣਹਾਰੁ ॥੪॥੯॥੪੮॥ नानक बखसे बखसणहारु ॥४॥९॥४८॥ Nānak bakẖse bakẖsaṇhār. ||4||9||48|| O Nanak, the Forgiving Lord forgives us. ||4||9||48||
