ਸਲੋਕ ਮਃ ੫ ॥ सलोक मः ५ ॥ Salok mėhlā 5. Shalok, Fifth Mehl: ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮਿ ਫੁਰਮਾਇਆ ਮੀਹੁ ਵੁਠਾ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਇ ॥ पारब्रहमि फुरमाइआ मीहु वुठा सहजि सुभाइ ॥ Pārbarahm furmā▫i▫ā mīhu vuṯẖā sahj subẖā▫e. The Supreme Lord God gave the Order, and the rain automatically began to fall. ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਗੁਣ ਉਚਰੈ ਦੁਖੁ ਦਾਲਦੁ ਗਇਆ ਬਿਲਾਇ ॥ सदा सदा गुण उचरै दुखु दालदु गइआ बिलाइ ॥ Saḏā saḏā guṇ ucẖrai ḏukẖ ḏālaḏ ga▫i▫ā bilā▫e. Forever and ever, chant the Glorious Praises of the Lord, and pain and poverty shall run away. ਅੰਨੁ ਧੰਨੁ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਉਪਜਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮੀ ਰਜੀ ਤਿਪਤਿ ਅਘਾਇ ॥ अंनु धंनु बहुतु उपजिआ प्रिथमी रजी तिपति अघाइ ॥ Ann ḏẖan bahuṯ upji▫ā parithmī rajī ṯipaṯ agẖā▫e. Grain and wealth were produced in abundance; the earth was totally satisfied and satiated. ਪੂਰਬਿ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਪਾਇਆ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਤਿਸੈ ਰਜਾਇ ॥ पूरबि लिखिआ पाइआ मिलिआ तिसै रजाइ ॥ Pūrab likẖi▫ā pā▫i▫ā mili▫ā ṯisai rajā▫e. People obtain that which they are pre-ordained to receive, according to the Will of the Lord. ਪਰਮੇਸਰਿ ਜੀਵਾਲਿਆ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਸੈ ਧਿਆਇ ॥੧॥ परमेसरि जीवालिआ नानक तिसै धिआइ ॥१॥ Parmesar jīvāli▫ā Nānak ṯisai ḏẖi▫ā▫e. ||1|| The Transcendent Lord keeps you alive; O Nanak, meditate on Him. ||1||
