ਜਿਥੈ ਬੈਸਨਿ ਸਾਧ ਜਨ ਸੋ ਥਾਨੁ ਸੁਹੰਦਾ ॥ जिथै बैसनि साध जन सो थानु सुहंदा ॥ Jithai baisan sāḏẖ jan so thān suhanḏā. Beautiful is that place, where the Holy people dwell. ਪਉੜੀ ॥ पउड़ी ॥ Pa▫oṛī. Pauree: ਓਇ ਸੇਵਨਿ ਸੰਮ੍ਰਿਥੁ ਆਪਣਾ ਬਿਨਸੈ ਸਭੁ ਮੰਦਾ ॥ ओइ सेवनि सम्रिथु आपणा बिनसै सभु मंदा ॥ O▫e sevan sammrith āpṇā binsai sabẖ manḏā. They serve their All-powerful Lord, and they give up all their evil ways. ਪਤਿਤ ਉਧਾਰਣ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਸੰਤ ਬੇਦੁ ਕਹੰਦਾ ॥ पतित उधारण पारब्रहम संत बेदु कहंदा ॥ Paṯiṯ uḏẖāraṇ pārbarahm sanṯ beḏ kahanḏā. The Saints and the Vedas proclaim, that the Supreme Lord God is the Saving Grace of sinners. ਭਗਤਿ ਵਛਲੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਬਿਰਦੁ ਹੈ ਜੁਗਿ ਜੁਗਿ ਵਰਤੰਦਾ ॥ भगति वछलु तेरा बिरदु है जुगि जुगि वरतंदा ॥ Bẖagaṯ vacẖẖal ṯerā biraḏ hai jug jug varṯanḏā. You are the Lover of Your devotees - this is Your natural way, in each and every age. ਨਾਨਕੁ ਜਾਚੈ ਏਕੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਭਾਵੰਦਾ ॥੫॥ नानकु जाचै एकु नामु मनि तनि भावंदा ॥५॥ Nānak jācẖai ek nām man ṯan bẖāvanḏā. ||5|| Nanak asks for the One Name, which is pleasing to his mind and body. ||5||
