ਜਿਨੀ ਸੁਣਿ ਕੈ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਤਿਨਾ ਨਿਜ ਘਰਿ ਵਾਸੁ ॥ जिनी सुणि कै मंनिआ तिना निज घरि वासु ॥ Jinee suṇ kæ mani▫aa ṫinaa nij gʰar vaas. Those who hear and believe, find the home of the self deep within. ਸਿਰੀਰਾਗੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ॥ सिरीरागु महला ३ ॥ Sireeraag mėhlaa 3. Siree Raag, Third Mehl: ਸਬਦਿ ਰਤੇ ਸੇ ਨਿਰਮਲੇ ਹਉ ਸਦ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੈ ਜਾਸੁ ॥ सबदि रते से निरमले हउ सद बलिहारै जासु ॥ Sabaḋ raṫé sé nirmalé ha▫o saḋ balihaaræ jaas. Attuned to the Word of the Shabad, they are immaculate and pure. I am forever a sacrifice to them. ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਸਾਲਾਹਿ ਸਚੁ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਗੁਣਤਾਸੁ ॥ गुरमती सालाहि सचु हरि पाइआ गुणतासु ॥ Gurmaṫee saalaahi sach har paa▫i▫aa guṇṫaas. Through the Guru’s Teachings, they praise the True Lord; they find the Lord, the Treasure of Excellence. ਹਿਰਦੈ ਜਿਨ ਕੈ ਹਰਿ ਵਸੈ ਤਿਤੁ ਘਟਿ ਹੈ ਪਰਗਾਸੁ ॥੧॥ हिरदै जिन कै हरि वसै तितु घटि है परगासु ॥१॥ Hirḋæ jin kæ har vasæ ṫiṫ gʰat hæ pargaas. ||1|| Those people, within whose hearts the Lord abides, are radiant and enlightened. ||1|| ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਧਿਆਇ ॥ मन मेरे हरि हरि निरमलु धिआइ ॥ Man méré har har nirmal ḋʰi▫aa▫é. O my mind! Meditate on the Immaculate Lord, Har, Har. ਧੁਰਿ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਸੇ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਰਹੇ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ धुरि मसतकि जिन कउ लिखिआ से गुरमुखि रहे लिव लाइ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Ḋʰur masṫak jin ka▫o likʰi▫aa sé gurmukʰ rahé liv laa▫é. ||1|| rahaa▫o. Those whose have such preordained destiny written on their foreheads-those Gurmukhs remain absorbed in the Lord’s Love. ||1||Pause|| ਹਰਿ ਸੰਤਹੁ ਦੇਖਹੁ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਨਿਕਟਿ ਵਸੈ ਭਰਪੂਰਿ ॥ हरि संतहु देखहु नदरि करि निकटि वसै भरपूरि ॥ Har sanṫahu ḋékʰhu naḋar kar nikat vasæ bʰarpoor. O Saints, see clearly that the Lord is near at hand; He is pervading everywhere. ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਜਿਨੀ ਪਛਾਣਿਆ ਸੇ ਦੇਖਹਿ ਸਦਾ ਹਦੂਰਿ ॥ गुरमति जिनी पछाणिआ से देखहि सदा हदूरि ॥ Gurmaṫ jinee pachʰaaṇi▫aa sé ḋékʰėh saḋaa haḋoor. Those who follow the Guru’s Teachings realize Him, and see Him Ever-present. ਜਿਨ ਗੁਣ ਤਿਨ ਸਦ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਅਉਗੁਣਵੰਤਿਆ ਦੂਰਿ ॥ जिन गुण तिन सद मनि वसै अउगुणवंतिआ दूरि ॥ Jin guṇ ṫin saḋ man vasæ a▫uguṇvanṫi▫aa ḋoor. He dwells forever in the minds of the virtuous. He is far removed from those worthless people who lack virtue. ਮਨਮੁਖ ਗੁਣ ਤੈ ਬਾਹਰੇ ਬਿਨੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਮਰਦੇ ਝੂਰਿ ॥੨॥ मनमुख गुण तै बाहरे बिनु नावै मरदे झूरि ॥२॥ Manmukʰ guṇ ṫæ baahré bin naavæ marḋé jʰoor. ||2|| The self-willed Manmukhs are totally without virtue. Without the Name, they die in frustration. ||2|| ਜਿਨ ਸਬਦਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਸੁਣਿ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਤਿਨ ਮਨਿ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਸੋਇ ॥ जिन सबदि गुरू सुणि मंनिआ तिन मनि धिआइआ हरि सोइ ॥ Jin sabaḋ guroo suṇ mani▫aa ṫin man ḋʰi▫aa▫i▫aa har so▫é. Those who hear and believe in the Word of the Guru’s Shabad, meditate on the Lord in their minds. ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਭਗਤੀ ਰਤਿਆ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਹੋਇ ॥ अनदिनु भगती रतिआ मनु तनु निरमलु होइ ॥ An▫ḋin bʰagṫee raṫi▫aa man ṫan nirmal ho▫é. Night and day, they are steeped in devotion; their minds and bodies become pure. ਕੂੜਾ ਰੰਗੁ ਕਸੁੰਭ ਕਾ ਬਿਨਸਿ ਜਾਇ ਦੁਖੁ ਰੋਇ ॥ कूड़ा रंगु कसु्मभ का बिनसि जाइ दुखु रोइ ॥ Kooṛaa rang kasumbʰ kaa binas jaa▫é ḋukʰ ro▫é. The color of the world is false and weak; when it washes away, people cry out in pain. ਜਿਸੁ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਪ੍ਰਗਾਸੁ ਹੈ ਓਹੁ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਥਿਰੁ ਹੋਇ ॥੩॥ जिसु अंदरि नाम प्रगासु है ओहु सदा सदा थिरु होइ ॥३॥ Jis anḋar naam pargaas hæ oh saḋaa saḋaa ṫʰir ho▫é. ||3|| Those who have the Radiant Light of the Naam within, become steady and stable, forever and ever. ||3|| ਇਹੁ ਜਨਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਪਾਇ ਕੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਨ ਚੇਤੈ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ॥ इहु जनमु पदारथु पाइ कै हरि नामु न चेतै लिव लाइ ॥ Ih janam paḋaaraṫʰ paa▫é kæ har naam na chéṫæ liv laa▫é. The blessing of this human life has been obtained, but still, people do not lovingly focus their thoughts on the Name of the Lord. ਪਗਿ ਖਿਸਿਐ ਰਹਣਾ ਨਹੀ ਆਗੈ ਠਉਰੁ ਨ ਪਾਇ ॥ पगि खिसिऐ रहणा नही आगै ठउरु न पाइ ॥ Pag kʰisi▫æ rahṇaa nahee aagæ tʰa▫ur na paa▫é. Their feet slip, and they cannot stay here any longer. And in the next world, they find no place of rest at all. ਓਹ ਵੇਲਾ ਹਥਿ ਨ ਆਵਈ ਅੰਤਿ ਗਇਆ ਪਛੁਤਾਇ ॥ ओह वेला हथि न आवई अंति गइआ पछुताइ ॥ Oh vélaa haṫʰ na aavee anṫ ga▫i▫aa pachʰuṫaa▫é. This opportunity shall not come again. In the end, they depart, regretting and repenting. ਜਿਸੁ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇ ਸੋ ਉਬਰੈ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਤੀ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ॥੪॥ जिसु नदरि करे सो उबरै हरि सेती लिव लाइ ॥४॥ Jis naḋar karé so ubræ har séṫee liv laa▫é. ||4|| Those whom the Lord blesses with His Glance of Grace are saved; they are lovingly attuned to the Lord. ||4|| ਦੇਖਾ ਦੇਖੀ ਸਭ ਕਰੇ ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਬੂਝ ਨ ਪਾਇ ॥ देखा देखी सभ करे मनमुखि बूझ न पाइ ॥ Ḋékʰaa ḋékʰee sabʰ karé manmukʰ boojʰ na paa▫é. They all show off and pretend, but the self-willed Manmukhs do not understand. ਜਿਨ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹਿਰਦਾ ਸੁਧੁ ਹੈ ਸੇਵ ਪਈ ਤਿਨ ਥਾਇ ॥ जिन गुरमुखि हिरदा सुधु है सेव पई तिन थाइ ॥ Jin gurmukʰ hirḋaa suḋʰ hæ sév pa▫ee ṫin ṫʰaa▫é. Those Gurmukhs who are pure of heart-their service is accepted. ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਿਤ ਪੜਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇ ਸਮਾਇ ॥ हरि गुण गावहि हरि नित पड़हि हरि गुण गाइ समाइ ॥ Har guṇ gaavahi har niṫ paṛėh har guṇ gaa▫é samaa▫é. They sing the Glorious Praise of the Lord; they read about the Lord each day. Singing the Praise of the Lord, they merge in absorption. ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਸਦਾ ਸਚੁ ਹੈ ਜਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਰਹੇ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ॥੫॥੪॥੩੭॥ नानक तिन की बाणी सदा सचु है जि नामि रहे लिव लाइ ॥५॥४॥३७॥ Naanak ṫin kee baṇee saḋaa sach hæ jė naam rahé liv laa▫é. ||5||4||37|| O Nanak! The words of those who are lovingly attuned to the Naam are true forever. ||5||4||37||
