ਸਲੋਕੁ ॥ सलोकु ॥ Salok. Shalok: ਜੋਰ ਜੁਲਮ ਫੂਲਹਿ ਘਨੋ ਕਾਚੀ ਦੇਹ ਬਿਕਾਰ ॥ जोर जुलम फूलहि घनो काची देह बिकार ॥ Jor julam foolėh gʰano kaachee ḋéh bikaar. Practicing oppression and tyranny, he puffs himself up; he acts in corruption with his frail, perishable body. ਅਹੰਬੁਧਿ ਬੰਧਨ ਪਰੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮ ਛੁਟਾਰ ॥੧॥ अह्मबुधि बंधन परे नानक नाम छुटार ॥१॥ Ahaⁿ▫buḋʰ banḋʰan paré Naanak naam chʰutaar. ||1|| He is bound by his egotistical intellect; O Nanak! Salvation comes only through the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||1||
