ਮੀਠੇ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉ ਜਿੰਦੂ ਤੂੰ ਮੀਠੇ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉ ॥ मीठे हरि गुण गाउ जिंदू तूं मीठे हरि गुण गाउ ॥ Mīṯẖe har guṇ gā▫o jinḏū ṯūʼn mīṯẖe har guṇ gā▫o. Sing the Sweet Praises of the Lord, O my soul, sing the Sweet Praises of the Lord. ਗਉੜੀ ਮਾਝ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ गउड़ी माझ महला ५ ॥ Ga▫oṛī mājẖ mėhlā 5. Gauree Maajh, Fifth Mehl: ਹੋਰਿ ਸਾਦ ਸਭਿ ਫਿਕਿਆ ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਫਿਕਾ ਹੋਇ ॥ होरि साद सभि फिकिआ तनु मनु फिका होइ ॥ Hor sāḏ sabẖ fiki▫ā ṯan man fikā ho▫e. All other tastes are bland and insipid; through them, the body and mind are rendered insipid as well. ਸਚੇ ਸੇਤੀ ਰਤਿਆ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਨਿਥਾਵੇ ਥਾਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ सचे सेती रतिआ मिलिआ निथावे थाउ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Sacẖe seṯī raṯi▫ā mili▫ā nithāve thā▫o. ||1|| rahā▫o. Attuned to the True One, even the homeless find a home. ||1||Pause|| ਵਿਣੁ ਪਰਮੇਸਰ ਜੋ ਕਰੇ ਫਿਟੁ ਸੁ ਜੀਵਣੁ ਸੋਇ ॥੧॥ विणु परमेसर जो करे फिटु सु जीवणु सोइ ॥१॥ viṇ parmesar jo kare fit so jīvaṇ so▫e. ||1|| Without the Transcendent Lord, what can anyone do? Cursed is his life, and cursed his reputation. ||1|| ਅੰਚਲੁ ਗਹਿ ਕੈ ਸਾਧ ਕਾ ਤਰਣਾ ਇਹੁ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ॥ अंचलु गहि कै साध का तरणा इहु संसारु ॥ Ancẖal gėh kai sāḏẖ kā ṯarṇā ih sansār. Grasping the hem of the robe of the Holy Saint, we cross over the world-ocean. ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਆਰਾਧੀਐ ਉਧਰੈ ਸਭ ਪਰਵਾਰੁ ॥੨॥ पारब्रहमु आराधीऐ उधरै सभ परवारु ॥२॥ Pārbarahm ārāḏẖī▫ai uḏẖrai sabẖ parvār. ||2|| Worship and adore the Supreme Lord God, and all your family will be saved as well. ||2|| ਸਾਜਨੁ ਬੰਧੁ ਸੁਮਿਤ੍ਰੁ ਸੋ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਦੇਇ ॥ साजनु बंधु सुमित्रु सो हरि नामु हिरदै देइ ॥ Sājan banḏẖ sumiṯar so har nām hirḏai ḏe▫e. He is a companion, a relative, and a good friend of mine, who implants the Lord's Name within my heart. ਅਉਗਣ ਸਭਿ ਮਿਟਾਇ ਕੈ ਪਰਉਪਕਾਰੁ ਕਰੇਇ ॥੩॥ अउगण सभि मिटाइ कै परउपकारु करेइ ॥३॥ A▫ugaṇ sabẖ mitā▫e kai par▫upkār kare▫i. ||3|| He washes off all my demerits, and is so generous to me. ||3|| ਮਾਲੁ ਖਜਾਨਾ ਥੇਹੁ ਘਰੁ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਚਰਣ ਨਿਧਾਨ ॥ मालु खजाना थेहु घरु हरि के चरण निधान ॥ Māl kẖajānā thehu gẖar har ke cẖaraṇ niḏẖān. Wealth, treasures, and household are all just ruins; the Lord's Feet are the only treasure. ਨਾਨਕੁ ਜਾਚਕੁ ਦਰਿ ਤੇਰੈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੁਧਨੋ ਮੰਗੈ ਦਾਨੁ ॥੪॥੪॥੧੭੨॥ नानकु जाचकु दरि तेरै प्रभ तुधनो मंगै दानु ॥४॥४॥१७२॥ Nānak jācẖak ḏar ṯerai parabẖ ṯuḏẖno mangai ḏān. ||4||4||172|| Nanak is a beggar standing at Your Door, God; he begs for Your charity. ||4||4||172|| ਸਾਧੋ ਮਨ ਕਾ ਮਾਨੁ ਤਿਆਗਉ ॥ साधो मन का मानु तिआगउ ॥ Sāḏẖo man kā mān ṯi▫āga▫o. : Holy Saadhus: forsake the pride of your mind. ਕਾਮੁ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਦੁਰਜਨ ਕੀ ਤਾ ਤੇ ਅਹਿਨਿਸਿ ਭਾਗਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ कामु क्रोधु संगति दुरजन की ता ते अहिनिसि भागउ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Kām kroḏẖ sangaṯ ḏurjan kī ṯā ṯe ahinis bẖāga▫o. ||1|| rahā▫o.
