By The Grace Of The True Guru: ਰਾਗੁ ਗਉੜੀ ਪੂਰਬੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ रागु गउड़ी पूरबी महला ५ Raag ga▫oṛee poorbee mėhlaa 5 Raag Gauree Poorbee, Fifth Mehl: ਰੂਪ ਹੀਨ ਬੁਧਿ ਬਲ ਹੀਨੀ ਮੋਹਿ ਪਰਦੇਸਨਿ ਦੂਰ ਤੇ ਆਈ ॥੧॥ रूप हीन बुधि बल हीनी मोहि परदेसनि दूर ते आई ॥१॥ Roop heen buḋʰ bal heenee mohi parḋésan ḋoor ṫé aa▫ee. ||1|| I have no beauty, understanding or strength; I am a stranger, from far away. ||1|| ਕਵਨ ਗੁਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਨਪਤਿ ਮਿਲਉ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ कवन गुन प्रानपति मिलउ मेरी माई ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Kavan gun paraanpaṫ mila▫o méree maa▫ee. ||1|| rahaa▫o. By what virtues can I meet the Lord of life, O my mother? ||1||Pause|| ਨਾਹਿਨ ਦਰਬੁ ਨ ਜੋਬਨ ਮਾਤੀ ਮੋਹਿ ਅਨਾਥ ਕੀ ਕਰਹੁ ਸਮਾਈ ॥੨॥ नाहिन दरबु न जोबन माती मोहि अनाथ की करहु समाई ॥२॥ Naahin ḋarab na joban maaṫee mohi anaaṫʰ kee karahu samaa▫ee. ||2|| I am not wealthy or youthful. I am an orphan - please, unite me with Yourself. ||2|| ਖੋਜਤ ਖੋਜਤ ਭਈ ਬੈਰਾਗਨਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਉ ਹਉ ਫਿਰਤ ਤਿਸਾਈ ॥੩॥ खोजत खोजत भई बैरागनि प्रभ दरसन कउ हउ फिरत तिसाई ॥३॥ Kʰojaṫ kʰojaṫ bʰa▫ee bæraagan parabʰ ḋarsan ka▫o ha▫o firaṫ ṫisaa▫ee. ||3|| Searching and searching, I have become a renunciate, free of desire. I wander around, searching for the Blessed Vision of God’s Darshan. ||3|| ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਲਨਿ ਬੁਝਾਈ ॥੪॥੧॥੧੧੮॥ दीन दइआल क्रिपाल प्रभ नानक साधसंगि मेरी जलनि बुझाई ॥४॥१॥११८॥ Ḋeen ḋa▫i▫aal kirpaal parabʰ Naanak saaḋʰsang méree jalan bujʰaa▫ee. ||4||1||118|| God is Compassionate, and Merciful to the meek; O Nanak! In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, the fire of desire has been quenched. ||4||1||118||
