ਤਿਸ ਕੀ ਸਰਣਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਭਉ ਸੋਗੁ ॥ तिस की सरणि नाही भउ सोगु ॥ Ŧis kī saraṇ nāhī bẖa▫o sog. In His Sanctuary, there is no fear or sorrow. ਗਉੜੀ ਗੁਆਰੇਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ गउड़ी गुआरेरी महला ५ ॥ Ga▫oṛī gu▫ārerī mėhlā 5. Gauree Gwaarayree, Fifth Mehl: ਉਸ ਤੇ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਕਛੂ ਨ ਹੋਗੁ ॥ उस ते बाहरि कछू न होगु ॥ Us ṯe bāhar kacẖẖū na hog. Without Him, nothing at all can be done. ਤਜੀ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਬਲ ਬੁਧਿ ਬਿਕਾਰ ॥ तजी सिआणप बल बुधि बिकार ॥ Ŧajī si▫āṇap bal buḏẖ bikār. I have renounced clever tricks, power and intellectual corruption. ਦਾਸ ਅਪਨੇ ਕੀ ਰਾਖਨਹਾਰ ॥੧॥ दास अपने की राखनहार ॥१॥ Ḏās apne kī rākẖanhār. ||1|| God is the Protector of His servant. ||1|| ਜਪਿ ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਮ ਰੰਗਿ ॥ जपि मन मेरे राम राम रंगि ॥ Jap man mere rām rām rang. Meditate, O my mind, on the Lord, Raam, Raam, with love. ਘਰਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਤੇਰੈ ਸਦ ਸੰਗਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ घरि बाहरि तेरै सद संगि ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Gẖar bāhar ṯerai saḏ sang. ||1|| rahā▫o. Within your home, and beyond it, He is always with you. ||1||Pause|| ਤਿਸ ਕੀ ਟੇਕ ਮਨੈ ਮਹਿ ਰਾਖੁ ॥ तिस की टेक मनै महि राखु ॥ Ŧis kī tek manai mėh rākẖ. Keep His Support in your mind. ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਰਸੁ ਚਾਖੁ ॥ गुर का सबदु अम्रित रसु चाखु ॥ Gur kā sabaḏ amriṯ ras cẖākẖ. Taste the ambrosial essence, the Word of the Guru's Shabad. ਅਵਰਿ ਜਤਨ ਕਹਹੁ ਕਉਨ ਕਾਜ ॥ अवरि जतन कहहु कउन काज ॥ Avar jaṯan kahhu ka▫un kāj. Of what use are other efforts? ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਰਾਖੈ ਆਪਿ ਲਾਜ ॥੨॥ करि किरपा राखै आपि लाज ॥२॥ Kar kirpā rākẖai āp lāj. ||2|| Showing His Mercy, the Lord Himself protects our honor. ||2|| ਕਿਆ ਮਾਨੁਖ ਕਹਹੁ ਕਿਆ ਜੋਰੁ ॥ किआ मानुख कहहु किआ जोरु ॥ Ki▫ā mānukẖ kahhu ki▫ā jor. What is the human? What power does he have? ਝੂਠਾ ਮਾਇਆ ਕਾ ਸਭੁ ਸੋਰੁ ॥ झूठा माइआ का सभु सोरु ॥ Jẖūṯẖā mā▫i▫ā kā sabẖ sor. All the tumult of Maya is false. ਕਰਣ ਕਰਾਵਨਹਾਰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ॥ करण करावनहार सुआमी ॥ Karaṇ karāvanhār su▫āmī. Our Lord and Master is the One who acts, and causes others to act. ਜਾ ਕਉ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਗੀ ॥ जा कउ राम नाम लिव लागी ॥ Jā ka▫o rām nām liv lāgī. Those who bear love for the Name of the Lord - ਗੁਰ ਉਪਦੇਸੁ ਮਨੈ ਮਹਿ ਲੇਹੁ ॥ गुर उपदेसु मनै महि लेहु ॥ Gur upḏes manai mėh leho. Keep the Guru's Teachings in your mind. ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਏਹੁ ॥ सरब सुखा सुखु साचा एहु ॥ Sarab sukẖā sukẖ sācẖā ehu. Of all comforts, this is the true comfort. ਸਗਲ ਘਟਾ ਕੇ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ॥੩॥ सगल घटा के अंतरजामी ॥३॥ Sagal gẖatā ke anṯarjāmī. ||3|| He is the Inner-knower, the Searcher of all hearts. ||3|| ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋ ਧੰਨੁ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ॥੪॥੭॥੭੬॥ कहु नानक सो धंनु वडभागी ॥४॥७॥७६॥ Kaho Nānak so ḏẖan vadbẖāgī. ||4||7||76|| says Nanak, they are blessed, and very fortunate. ||4||7||76||
