ਜਗਜੀਵਨ ਅਪਰੰਪਰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਜਗਦੀਸੁਰ ਪੁਰਖ ਬਿਧਾਤੇ ॥ जगजीवन अपर्मपर सुआमी जगदीसुर पुरख बिधाते ॥ Jagjeevan aprampar su▫aamee jagḋeesur purakʰ biḋʰaaṫé. Gauree Poorbee, Fourth Mehl: ਜਿਤੁ ਮਾਰਗਿ ਤੁਮ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਹੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤਿਤੁ ਮਾਰਗਿ ਹਮ ਜਾਤੇ ॥੧॥ जितु मारगि तुम प्रेरहु सुआमी तितु मारगि हम जाते ॥१॥ Jiṫ maarag ṫum paréṛu su▫aamee ṫiṫ maarag ham jaaṫé. ||1|| Whichever way You turn me, O my Lord and Master, that is the way I shall go. ||1|| ਰਾਮ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਤੀ ਰਾਤੇ ॥ राम मेरा मनु हरि सेती राते ॥ Raam méraa man har séṫee raaṫé. O Lord, my mind is attuned to the Lord’s Love. ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਰਾਮ ਰਸੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਮੈ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਤੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ सतसंगति मिलि राम रसु पाइआ हरि रामै नामि समाते ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Saṫsangaṫ mil raam ras paa▫i▫aa har raamæ naam samaaṫé. ||1|| rahaa▫o. Joining the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation, I have obtained the sublime essence of the Lord. I am absorbed in the Name of the Lord. ||1||Pause|| ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਗਿ ਅਵਖਧੁ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਹਰਿ ਸਾਤੇ ॥ हरि हरि नामु हरि हरि जगि अवखधु हरि हरि नामु हरि साते ॥ Har har naam har har jag avkʰaḋʰ har har naam har saaṫé. The Lord, Har, Har, and the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, is the panacea, the medicine for the world. The Lord, and the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, bring peace and tranquility. ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਪਾਪ ਦੋਖ ਸਭਿ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਜੋ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਰਾਮ ਰਸੁ ਖਾਤੇ ॥੨॥ तिन के पाप दोख सभि बिनसे जो गुरमति राम रसु खाते ॥२॥ Ṫin ké paap ḋokʰ sabʰ binsé jo gurmaṫ raam ras kʰaaṫé. ||2|| Those who partake of the Lord’s sublime essence, through the Guru’s Teachings - their sins and sufferings are all eliminated. ||2|| ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਲਿਖਤੁ ਲਿਖੇ ਧੁਰਿ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਤੇ ਗੁਰ ਸੰਤੋਖ ਸਰਿ ਨਾਤੇ ॥ जिन कउ लिखतु लिखे धुरि मसतकि ते गुर संतोख सरि नाते ॥ Jin ka▫o likʰaṫ likʰé ḋʰur masṫak ṫé gur sanṫokʰ sar naaṫé. Those who have such preordained destiny inscribed on their foreheads, bathe in the pool of contentment of the Guru. ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਮੈਲੁ ਗਈ ਸਭ ਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਜੋ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੇ ॥੩॥ दुरमति मैलु गई सभ तिन की जो राम नाम रंगि राते ॥३॥ Ḋurmaṫ mæl ga▫ee sabʰ ṫin kee jo raam naam rang raaṫé. ||3|| The filth of evil-mindedness is totally washed away, from those who are imbued with the Love of the Lord’s Name. ||3|| ਰਾਮ ਤੁਮ ਆਪੇ ਆਪਿ ਆਪਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਤੁਮ ਜੇਵਡ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਦਾਤੇ ॥ राम तुम आपे आपि आपि प्रभु ठाकुर तुम जेवड अवरु न दाते ॥ Raam ṫum aapé aap aap parabʰ tʰaakur ṫum jévad avar na ḋaaṫé. O Lord, You Yourself are Your Own Master, O God. There is no other Giver as Great as You. ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਲਏ ਤਾਂ ਜੀਵੈ ਹਰਿ ਜਪੀਐ ਹਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ ॥੪॥੨॥੧੬॥੫੪॥ जनु नानकु नामु लए तां जीवै हरि जपीऐ हरि किरपा ते ॥४॥२॥१६॥५४॥ Jan Naanak naam la▫é ṫaaⁿ jeevæ har japee▫æ har kirpaa ṫé. ||4||2||16||54|| Servant Nanak lives by the Naam, the Name of the Lord; by the Lord’s Mercy, he chants the Lord’s Name. ||4||2||16||54||
