ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਮਿਲਨ ਦੁਰਾਈ ॥ गोबिंद ठाकुर मिलन दुराईं ॥ Gobinḏ ṯẖākur milan ḏurā▫īʼn. It is so hard to meet the Lord of the Universe, my Lord and Master. ਕਾਨੜਾ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ कानड़ा महला ५ ॥ Kānṛā mėhlā 5. Kaanraa, Fifth Mehl: ਪਰਮਿਤਿ ਰੂਪੁ ਅਗੰਮ ਅਗੋਚਰ ਰਹਿਓ ਸਰਬ ਸਮਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ परमिति रूपु अगम अगोचर रहिओ सरब समाई ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Parmiṯ rūp agamm agocẖar rahi▫o sarab samā▫ī. ||1|| rahā▫o. His Form is Immeasurable, Inaccessible and Unfathomable; He is All-pervading everywhere. ||1||Pause|| ਕਹਨਿ ਭਵਨਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਪਾਇਓ ਪਾਇਓ ਅਨਿਕ ਉਕਤਿ ਚਤੁਰਾਈ ॥੧॥ कहनि भवनि नाही पाइओ पाइओ अनिक उकति चतुराई ॥१॥ Kahan bẖavan nāhī pā▫i▫o pā▫i▫o anik ukaṯ cẖaṯurā▫ī. ||1|| By speaking and wandering, nothing is gained; nothing is obtained by clever tricks and devices. ||1|| ਜਤਨ ਜਤਨ ਅਨਿਕ ਉਪਾਵ ਰੇ ਤਉ ਮਿਲਿਓ ਜਉ ਕਿਰਪਾਈ ॥ जतन जतन अनिक उपाव रे तउ मिलिओ जउ किरपाई ॥ Jaṯan jaṯan anik upāv re ṯa▫o mili▫o ja▫o kirpā▫ī. People try all sorts of things, but the Lord is only met when He shows His Mercy. ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਇਆਰ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਰ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਨਿਧਿ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੰਤ ਰੇਨਾਈ ॥੨॥੨॥੪੭॥ प्रभू दइआर क्रिपार क्रिपा निधि जन नानक संत रेनाई ॥२॥२॥४७॥ Parabẖū ḏa▫i▫ār kirpār kirpā niḏẖ jan Nānak sanṯ renā▫ī. ||2||2||47|| God is Kind and Compassionate, the Treasure of Mercy; servant Nanak is the dust of the feet of the Saints. ||2||2||47||
