Give up your pride and your self-conceit; the Loving, Merciful Lord is watching over all. O mind, become the dust of His Feet. ||1||Pause|| ਹਿਰਦੈ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਗਾਇ ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਲਾਇ ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲ ਮੋਹਨਾ ॥ हिरदै गोबिंद गाइ चरन कमल प्रीति लाइ दीन दइआल मोहना ॥ Hirḏai gobinḏ gā▫e cẖaran kamal parīṯ lā▫e ḏīn ḏa▫i▫āl mohnā. Within your heart, sing the Praises of the Lord of the Universe, and be lovingly attuned to His Lotus Feet. He is the Fascinating Lord, Merciful to the meek and the humble. ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਦਇਆ ਮਇਆ ਧਾਰਿ ॥ क्रिपाल दइआ मइआ धारि ॥ Kirpāl ḏa▫i▫ā ma▫i▫ā ḏẖār. O Merciful Lord, please bless me with Your Kindness and Compassion. ਨਾਨਕੁ ਮਾਗੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਦਾਨੁ ॥ नानकु मागै नामु दानु ॥ Nānak māgai nām ḏān. Nanak begs for the Gift of the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ਤਜਿ ਮੋਹੁ ਭਰਮੁ ਸਗਲ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੁ ॥੨॥੧॥੩੮॥ तजि मोहु भरमु सगल अभिमानु ॥२॥१॥३८॥ Ŧaj moh bẖaram sagal abẖimān. ||2||1||38|| I have abandoned emotional attachment, doubt and all egotistical pride. ||2||1||38||
