ਪਰ ਦਾਰਾ ਪਰ ਧਨੁ ਪਰ ਲੋਭਾ ਹਉਮੈ ਬਿਖੈ ਬਿਕਾਰ ॥ पर दारा पर धनु पर लोभा हउमै बिखै बिकार ॥ Par ḏārā par ḏẖan par lobẖā ha▫umai bikẖai bikār. Others' wives, others' wealth, greed, egotism, corruption and poison; ਮਹਲਾ ੧ ਮਲਾਰ ॥ महला १ मलार ॥ Mėhlā 1 malār. First Mehl, Malaar: ਦੁਸਟ ਭਾਉ ਤਜਿ ਨਿੰਦ ਪਰਾਈ ਕਾਮੁ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਚੰਡਾਰ ॥੧॥ दुसट भाउ तजि निंद पराई कामु क्रोधु चंडार ॥१॥ Ḏusat bẖā▫o ṯaj ninḏ parā▫ī kām kroḏẖ cẖandār. ||1|| evil passions, slander of others, sexual desire and anger - give up all these. ||1|| ਮਹਲ ਮਹਿ ਬੈਠੇ ਅਗਮ ਅਪਾਰ ॥ महल महि बैठे अगम अपार ॥ Mahal mėh baiṯẖe agam apār. The Inaccessible, Infinite Lord is sitting in His Mansion. ਭੀਤਰਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਸੋਈ ਜਨੁ ਪਾਵੈ ਜਿਸੁ ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਰਤਨੁ ਆਚਾਰ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ भीतरि अम्रितु सोई जनु पावै जिसु गुर का सबदु रतनु आचार ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Bẖīṯar amriṯ so▫ī jan pāvai jis gur kā sabaḏ raṯan ācẖār. ||1|| rahā▫o. That humble being, whose conduct is in harmony with the jewel of the Guru's Shabad, obtains the Ambrosial Nectar. ||1||Pause|| ਦੁਖ ਸੁਖ ਦੋਊ ਸਮ ਕਰਿ ਜਾਨੈ ਬੁਰਾ ਭਲਾ ਸੰਸਾਰ ॥ दुख सुख दोऊ सम करि जानै बुरा भला संसार ॥ Ḏukẖ sukẖ ḏo▫ū sam kar jānai burā bẖalā sansār. He sees pleasure and pain as both the same, along with good and bad in the world. ਸੁਧਿ ਬੁਧਿ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਈਐ ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਗੁਰ ਪਿਆਰ ॥੨॥ सुधि बुधि सुरति नामि हरि पाईऐ सतसंगति गुर पिआर ॥२॥ Suḏẖ buḏẖ suraṯ nām har pā▫ī▫ai saṯsangaṯ gur pi▫ār. ||2|| Wisdom, understanding and awareness are found in the Name of the Lord. In the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation, embrace love for the Guru. ||2|| ਅਹਿਨਿਸਿ ਲਾਹਾ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਗੁਰੁ ਦਾਤਾ ਦੇਵਣਹਾਰੁ ॥ अहिनिसि लाहा हरि नामु परापति गुरु दाता देवणहारु ॥ Ahinis lāhā har nām parāpaṯ gur ḏāṯā ḏevaṇhār. Day and night, profit is obtained through the Lord's Name. The Guru, the Giver, has given this gift. ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਿਖ ਸੋਈ ਜਨੁ ਪਾਏ ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇ ਕਰਤਾਰੁ ॥੩॥ गुरमुखि सिख सोई जनु पाए जिस नो नदरि करे करतारु ॥३॥ Gurmukẖ sikẖ so▫ī jan pā▫e jis no naḏar kare karṯār. ||3|| That Sikh who becomes Gurmukh obtains it. The Creator blesses him with His Glance of Grace. ||3|| ਕਾਇਆ ਮਹਲੁ ਮੰਦਰੁ ਘਰੁ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਤਿਸੁ ਮਹਿ ਰਾਖੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਅਪਾਰ ॥ काइआ महलु मंदरु घरु हरि का तिसु महि राखी जोति अपार ॥ Kā▫i▫ā mahal manḏar gẖar har kā ṯis mėh rākẖī joṯ apār. The body is a mansion, a temple, the home of the Lord; He has infused His Infinite Light into it. ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮਹਲਿ ਬੁਲਾਈਐ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਲੇ ਮੇਲਣਹਾਰ ॥੪॥੫॥ नानक गुरमुखि महलि बुलाईऐ हरि मेले मेलणहार ॥४॥५॥ Nānak gurmukẖ mahal bulā▫ī▫ai har mele melaṇhār. ||4||5|| O Nanak, the Gurmukh is invited to the Mansion of the Lord's Presence; the Lord unites him in His Union. ||4||5||
