ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਅਕਥ ਕਹਾਣੀ ॥ मन मेरे हरि की अकथ कहाणी ॥ Man mere har kī akath kahāṇī. O my mind, the Speech of the Lord is unspoken. ਸਾਰਗ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ॥ सारग महला ३ ॥ Sārag mėhlā 3. Saarang, Third Mehl: ਹਰਿ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇ ਸੋਈ ਜਨੁ ਪਾਏ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਵਿਰਲੈ ਜਾਣੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ हरि नदरि करे सोई जनु पाए गुरमुखि विरलै जाणी ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Har naḏar kare so▫ī jan pā▫e gurmukẖ virlai jāṇī. ||1|| rahā▫o. That humble being who is blessed by the Lord's Glance of Grace, obtains it. How rare is that Gurmukh who understands. ||1||Pause|| ਹਰਿ ਗਹਿਰ ਗੰਭੀਰੁ ਗੁਣੀ ਗਹੀਰੁ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਪਛਾਨਿਆ ॥ हरि गहिर ग्मभीरु गुणी गहीरु गुर कै सबदि पछानिआ ॥ Har gahir gambẖīr guṇī gahīr gur kai sabaḏ pacẖẖāni▫ā. The Lord is Deep, Profound and Unfathomable, the Ocean of Excellence; He is realized through the Word of the Guru's Shabad. ਬਹੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਕਰਮ ਕਰਹਿ ਭਾਇ ਦੂਜੈ ਬਿਨੁ ਸਬਦੈ ਬਉਰਾਨਿਆ ॥੧॥ बहु बिधि करम करहि भाइ दूजै बिनु सबदै बउरानिआ ॥१॥ Baho biḏẖ karam karahi bẖā▫e ḏūjai bin sabḏai ba▫urāni▫ā. ||1|| Mortals do their deeds in all sorts of ways, in the love of duality; but without the Shabad, they are insane. ||1|| ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਨਾਵੈ ਸੋਈ ਜਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਫਿਰਿ ਮੈਲਾ ਮੂਲਿ ਨ ਹੋਈ ॥ हरि नामि नावै सोई जनु निरमलु फिरि मैला मूलि न होई ॥ Har nām nāvai so▫ī jan nirmal fir mailā mūl na ho▫ī. That humble being who bathes in the Lord's Name becomes immaculate; he never becomes polluted again. ਨਾਮ ਬਿਨਾ ਸਭੁ ਜਗੁ ਹੈ ਮੈਲਾ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਰਮਿ ਪਤਿ ਖੋਈ ॥੨॥ नाम बिना सभु जगु है मैला दूजै भरमि पति खोई ॥२॥ Nām binā sabẖ jag hai mailā ḏūjai bẖaram paṯ kẖo▫ī. ||2|| Without the Name, the whole world is polluted; wandering in duality, it loses its honor. ||2|| ਕਿਆ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਂ ਕਿਆ ਸੰਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਤਿਆਗੀ ਮੈ ਤਾ ਬੂਝ ਨ ਪਾਈ ॥ किआ द्रिड़ां किआ संग्रहि तिआगी मै ता बूझ न पाई ॥ Ki▫ā ḏariṛ▫āʼn ki▫ā sangrahi ṯi▫āgī mai ṯā būjẖ na pā▫ī. What should I grasp? What should I gather up or leave behind? I do not know. ਹੋਹਿ ਦਇਆਲੁ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਨਾਮੋ ਹੋਇ ਸਖਾਈ ॥੩॥ होहि दइआलु क्रिपा करि हरि जीउ नामो होइ सखाई ॥३॥ Hohi ḏa▫i▫āl kirpā kar har jī▫o nāmo ho▫e sakẖā▫ī. ||3|| O Dear Lord, Your Name is the Help and Support of those whom You bless with Your kindness and compassion. ||3|| ਸਚਾ ਸਚੁ ਦਾਤਾ ਕਰਮ ਬਿਧਾਤਾ ਜਿਸੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਨਾਇ ਲਾਏ ॥ सचा सचु दाता करम बिधाता जिसु भावै तिसु नाइ लाए ॥ Sacẖā sacẖ ḏāṯā karam biḏẖāṯā jis bẖāvai ṯis nā▫e lā▫e. The True Lord is the True Giver, the Architect of Destiny; as He pleases, He links mortals to the Name. ਗੁਰੂ ਦੁਆਰੈ ਸੋਈ ਬੂਝੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਆਪਿ ਬੁਝਾਏ ॥੪॥ गुरू दुआरै सोई बूझै जिस नो आपि बुझाए ॥४॥ Gurū ḏu▫ārai so▫ī būjẖai jis no āp bujẖā▫e. ||4|| He alone comes to understand, who enters the Guru's Gate, whom the Lord Himself instructs. ||4|| ਦੇਖਿ ਬਿਸਮਾਦੁ ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਨਹੀ ਚੇਤੇ ਆਵਾ ਗਉਣੁ ਸੰਸਾਰਾ ॥ देखि बिसमादु इहु मनु नही चेते आवा गउणु संसारा ॥ Ḏekẖ bismāḏ ih man nahī cẖeṯe āvā ga▫oṇ sansārā. Even gazing upon the wonders of the Lord, this mind does not think of Him. The world comes and goes in reincarnation. ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵੇ ਸੋਈ ਬੂਝੈ ਪਾਏ ਮੋਖ ਦੁਆਰਾ ॥੫॥ सतिगुरु सेवे सोई बूझै पाए मोख दुआरा ॥५॥ Saṯgur seve so▫ī būjẖai pā▫e mokẖ ḏu▫ārā. ||5|| Serving the True Guru, the mortal comes to understand, and finds the Door of Salvation. ||5|| ਸਚੁ ਸੰਜਮੁ ਕਰਣੀ ਕਿਰਤਿ ਕਮਾਵਹਿ ਆਵਣ ਜਾਣੁ ਰਹਾਈ ॥੬॥ सचु संजमु करणी किरति कमावहि आवण जाणु रहाई ॥६॥ Sacẖ sanjam karṇī kiraṯ kamāvėh āvaṇ jāṇ rahā▫ī. ||6|| They practice truth, self-restraint and good deeds; their comings and goings are ended. ||6|| ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਦਰੁ ਸੂਝੈ ਸੇ ਕਦੇ ਨ ਵਿਗਾੜਹਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਬੂਝ ਬੁਝਾਈ ॥ जिन्ह दरु सूझै से कदे न विगाड़हि सतिगुरि बूझ बुझाई ॥ Jinĥ ḏar sūjẖai se kaḏe na vigāṛėh saṯgur būjẖ bujẖā▫ī. Those who understand the Lord's Court, never suffer separation from him. The True Guru has imparted this understanding. ਸੇ ਦਰਿ ਸਾਚੈ ਸਾਚੁ ਕਮਾਵਹਿ ਜਿਨ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਾਚੁ ਅਧਾਰਾ ॥ से दरि साचै साचु कमावहि जिन गुरमुखि साचु अधारा ॥ Se ḏar sācẖai sācẖ kamāvėh jin gurmukẖ sācẖ aḏẖārā. In the Court of the True Lord, they practice Truth. The Gurmukhs take the Support of the True Lord. ਮਨਮੁਖ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਰਮਿ ਭੁਲਾਏ ਨਾ ਬੂਝਹਿ ਵੀਚਾਰਾ ॥੭॥ मनमुख दूजै भरमि भुलाए ना बूझहि वीचारा ॥७॥ Manmukẖ ḏūjai bẖaram bẖulā▫e nā būjẖėh vīcẖārā. ||7|| The self-willed manmukhs wander, lost in doubt and duality. They do not know how to contemplate the Lord. ||7|| ਆਪੇ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਆਪੇ ਦੇਵੈ ਆਪੇ ਕਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਵੇਖੈ ॥ आपे गुरमुखि आपे देवै आपे करि करि वेखै ॥ Āpe gurmukẖ āpe ḏevai āpe kar kar vekẖai. He Himself is the Gurmukh, and He Himself gives; He Himself creates and beholds. ਨਾਨਕ ਸੇ ਜਨ ਥਾਇ ਪਏ ਹੈ ਜਿਨ ਕੀ ਪਤਿ ਪਾਵੈ ਲੇਖੈ ॥੮॥੩॥ नानक से जन थाइ पए है जिन की पति पावै लेखै ॥८॥३॥ Nānak se jan thā▫e pa▫e hai jin kī paṯ pāvai lekẖai. ||8||3|| O Nanak, those humble beings are approved, whose honor the Lord Himself accepts. ||8||3||
