ਮਾਈ ਰੀ ਆਨ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਮਰਿ ਜਾਂਹਿ ॥ माई री आन सिमरि मरि जांहि ॥ Mā▫ī rī ān simar mar jāʼnhi. O mother, by meditating in remembrance on some other, the mortal dies. ਸਾਰਗ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ सारग महला ५ ॥ Sārag mėhlā 5. Saarang, Fifth Mehl: ਨਾਮੁ ਬਿਸਾਰਿ ਚਲਹਿ ਅਨ ਮਾਰਗਿ ਨਰਕ ਘੋਰ ਮਹਿ ਪਾਹਿ ॥ नामु बिसारि चलहि अन मारगि नरक घोर महि पाहि ॥ Nām bisār cẖalėh an mārag narak gẖor mėh pāhi. Forgetting the Naam, the Name of the Lord, he walks on some other path, and falls into the most horrible hell. ਤਿਆਗਿ ਗੋਬਿਦੁ ਜੀਅਨ ਕੋ ਦਾਤਾ ਮਾਇਆ ਸੰਗਿ ਲਪਟਾਹਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ तिआगि गोबिदु जीअन को दाता माइआ संगि लपटाहि ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Ŧi▫āg gobiḏ jī▫an ko ḏāṯā mā▫i▫ā sang laptāhi. ||1|| rahā▫o. Forsaking the Lord of the Universe, the Giver of souls, the mortal is engrossed and entangled in Maya. ||1||Pause|| ਅਨਿਕ ਸਜਾਂਈ ਗਣਤ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਗਰਭੈ ਗਰਭਿ ਭ੍ਰਮਾਹਿ ॥੧॥ अनिक सजांई गणत न आवै गरभै गरभि भ्रमाहि ॥१॥ Anik sajāʼn▫ī gaṇaṯ na āvai garbẖai garabẖ bẖarmāhi. ||1|| He suffers uncounted punishments, and wanders from womb to womb in reincarnation. ||1|| ਸੇ ਧਨਵੰਤੇ ਸੇ ਪਤਿਵੰਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਸਰਣਿ ਸਮਾਹਿ ॥ से धनवंते से पतिवंते हरि की सरणि समाहि ॥ Se ḏẖanvanṯe se paṯivanṯe har kī saraṇ samāhi. They alone are wealthy, and they alone are honorable, who are absorbed in the Sanctuary of the Lord. ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਗੁ ਜੀਤਿਓ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਨ ਆਵਹਿ ਜਾਂਹਿ ॥੨॥੮੮॥੧੧੧॥ गुर प्रसादि नानक जगु जीतिओ बहुरि न आवहि जांहि ॥२॥८८॥१११॥ Gur parsāḏ Nānak jag jīṯi▫o bahur na āvahi jāʼnhi. ||2||88||111|| By Guru's Grace, O Nanak, they conquer the world; they do not come and go in reincarnation ever again. ||2||88||111||
