ਗੁਰ ਜੀਉ ਸੰਗਿ ਤੁਹਾਰੈ ਜਾਨਿਓ ॥ गुर जीउ संगि तुहारै जानिओ ॥ Gur jī▫o sang ṯuhārai jāni▫o. O Dear Guru, by associating with You, I have come to know the Lord. ਸਾਰਗ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ सारग महला ५ ॥ Sārag mėhlā 5. Saarang, Fifth Mehl: ਕੋਟਿ ਜੋਧ ਉਆ ਕੀ ਬਾਤ ਨ ਪੁਛੀਐ ਤਾਂ ਦਰਗਹ ਭੀ ਮਾਨਿਓ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ कोटि जोध उआ की बात न पुछीऐ तां दरगह भी मानिओ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Kot joḏẖ u▫ā kī bāṯ na pucẖẖī▫ai ṯāʼn ḏargėh bẖī māni▫o. ||1|| rahā▫o. There are millions of heroes, and no one pays any attention to them, but in the Court of the Lord, I am honored and respected. ||1||Pause|| ਕਵਨ ਮੂਲੁ ਪ੍ਰਾਨੀ ਕਾ ਕਹੀਐ ਕਵਨ ਰੂਪੁ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਾਨਿਓ ॥ कवन मूलु प्रानी का कहीऐ कवन रूपु द्रिसटानिओ ॥ Kavan mūl parānī kā kahī▫ai kavan rūp ḏaristāni▫o. What is the origin of the human beings? How beautiful they are! ਜੋਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਗਾਸ ਭਈ ਮਾਟੀ ਸੰਗਿ ਦੁਲਭ ਦੇਹ ਬਖਾਨਿਓ ॥੧॥ जोति प्रगास भई माटी संगि दुलभ देह बखानिओ ॥१॥ Joṯ pargās bẖa▫ī mātī sang ḏulabẖ ḏeh bakẖāni▫o. ||1|| When God infuses His Light into clay, the human body is judged to be precious. ||1|| ਤੁਮ ਤੇ ਸੇਵ ਤੁਮ ਤੇ ਜਪ ਤਾਪਾ ਤੁਮ ਤੇ ਤਤੁ ਪਛਾਨਿਓ ॥ तुम ते सेव तुम ते जप तापा तुम ते ततु पछानिओ ॥ Ŧum ṯe sev ṯum ṯe jap ṯāpā ṯum ṯe ṯaṯ pacẖẖāni▫o. From You, I have learned to serve; from You, I have learned to chant and meditate; from You, I have realized the essence of reality. ਕਰੁ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਧਰਿ ਕਟੀ ਜੇਵਰੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਦਸਾਨਿਓ ॥੨॥੩੯॥੬੨॥ करु मसतकि धरि कटी जेवरी नानक दास दसानिओ ॥२॥३९॥६२॥ Kar masṯak ḏẖar katī jevrī Nānak ḏās ḏasāni▫o. ||2||39||62|| Placing His Hand on my forehead, He has cut away the bonds which held me; O Nanak, I am the slave of His slaves. ||2||39||62||
