ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਚਰਨਨ ਕਉ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ॥ गोबिंद चरनन कउ बलिहारी ॥ Gobinḏ cẖarnan ka▫o balihārī. I am a sacrifice to the Feet of the Lord of the Universe. ਸਾਰੰਗ ਮਹਲਾ ੪ ॥ सारंग महला ४ ॥ Sārang mėhlā 4. Saarang, Fourth Mehl: ਭਵਜਲੁ ਜਗਤੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ਤਰਣਾ ਜਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਰਿ ਉਤਾਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ भवजलु जगतु न जाई तरणा जपि हरि हरि पारि उतारी ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Bẖavjal jagaṯ na jā▫ī ṯarṇā jap har har pār uṯārī. ||1|| rahā▫o. I cannot swim across the terrifying world ocean. But chanting the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, I am carried across. ||1||Pause|| ਹਿਰਦੈ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤਿ ਬਨੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੇਰੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਬੀਚਾਰੀ ॥ हिरदै प्रतीति बनी प्रभ केरी सेवा सुरति बीचारी ॥ Hirḏai parṯīṯ banī parabẖ kerī sevā suraṯ bīcẖārī. Faith in God came to fill my heart; I serve Him intuitively, and contemplate Him. ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਿ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਸਰਬ ਕਲਾ ਗੁਣਕਾਰੀ ॥੧॥ अनदिनु राम नामु जपि हिरदै सरब कला गुणकारी ॥१॥ An▫ḏin rām nām jap hirḏai sarab kalā guṇkārī. ||1|| Night and day, I chant the Lord's Name within my heart; it is all-powerful and virtuous. ||1|| ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਗਮ ਅਗੋਚਰੁ ਰਵਿਆ ਸ੍ਰਬ ਠਾਈ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਅਲਖ ਅਪਾਰੀ ॥ प्रभु अगम अगोचरु रविआ स्रब ठाई मनि तनि अलख अपारी ॥ Parabẖ agam agocẖar ravi▫ā sarab ṯẖā▫ī man ṯan alakẖ apārī. God is Inaccessible and Unfathomable, All-pervading everywhere, in all minds and bodies; He is Infinite and Invisible. ਗੁਰ ਕਿਰਪਾਲ ਭਏ ਤਬ ਪਾਇਆ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਅਲਖੁ ਲਖਾਰੀ ॥੨॥ गुर किरपाल भए तब पाइआ हिरदै अलखु लखारी ॥२॥ Gur kirpāl bẖa▫e ṯab pā▫i▫ā hirḏai alakẖ lakẖārī. ||2|| When the Guru becomes merciful, then the Unseen Lord is seen within the heart. ||2|| ਅੰਤਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਰਬ ਧਰਣੀਧਰ ਸਾਕਤ ਕਉ ਦੂਰਿ ਭਇਆ ਅਹੰਕਾਰੀ ॥ अंतरि हरि नामु सरब धरणीधर साकत कउ दूरि भइआ अहंकारी ॥ Anṯar har nām sarab ḏẖarṇīḏẖar sākaṯ ka▫o ḏūr bẖa▫i▫ā ahaʼnkārī. Deep within the inner being is the Name of the Lord, the Support of the entire earth, but to the egotistical shaakta, the faithless cynic, He seems far away. ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਜਲਤ ਨ ਕਬਹੂ ਬੂਝਹਿ ਜੂਐ ਬਾਜੀ ਹਾਰੀ ॥੩॥ त्रिसना जलत न कबहू बूझहि जूऐ बाजी हारी ॥३॥ Ŧarisnā jalaṯ na kabhū būjẖėh jū▫ai bājī hārī. ||3|| His burning desire is never quenched, and he loses the game of life in the gamble. ||3|| ਊਠਤ ਬੈਠਤ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਗੁਰਿ ਕਿੰਚਤ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰੀ ॥ ऊठत बैठत हरि गुन गावहि गुरि किंचत किरपा धारी ॥ Ūṯẖaṯ baiṯẖaṯ har gun gāvahi gur kicẖanṯ kirpā ḏẖārī. Standing up and sitting down, the mortal sings the Glorious Praises of the Lord, when the Guru bestows even a tiny bit of His Grace. ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਨਦਰਿ ਭਈ ਹੈ ਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਪੈਜ ਸਵਾਰੀ ॥੪॥੨॥ नानक जिन कउ नदरि भई है तिन की पैज सवारी ॥४॥२॥ Nānak jin ka▫o naḏar bẖa▫ī hai ṯin kī paij savārī. ||4||2|| O Nanak, those who are blessed by His Glance of Grace - He saves and protects their honor. ||4||2|| ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੇਹੁ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥ हरि हरि अम्रित नामु देहु पिआरे ॥ Har har amriṯ nām ḏeh pi▫āre. O my Beloved Lord, Har, Har, please bless me with Your Ambrosial Name.
