ਬਸੰਤੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ बसंतु महला ५ ॥ Basanṯ mėhlā 5. Basant, Fifth Mehl: ਰਾਮ ਰੰਗਿ ਸਭ ਗਏ ਪਾਪ ॥ राम रंगि सभ गए पाप ॥ Rām rang sabẖ ga▫e pāp. Loving the Lord, one's sins are taken away. ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਕਛੁ ਨਾਹਿ ਫੇਰ ॥੧॥ हरि सिमरत कछु नाहि फेर ॥१॥ Har simraṯ kacẖẖ nāhi fer. ||1|| Meditating in remembrance on the Lord, the cycle of reincarnation comes to an end. ||1|| ਰਾਮ ਜਪਤ ਕਛੁ ਨਹੀ ਸੰਤਾਪ ॥ राम जपत कछु नही संताप ॥ Rām japaṯ kacẖẖ nahī sanṯāp. Meditating on the Lord, one does not suffer at all. ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਜਪਤ ਸਭਿ ਮਿਟੇ ਅੰਧੇਰ ॥ गोबिंद जपत सभि मिटे अंधेर ॥ Gobinḏ japaṯ sabẖ mite anḏẖer. Meditating on the Lord of the Universe, all darkness is dispelled. ਬਸੰਤੁ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਰਾਮ ਰੰਗੁ ॥ बसंतु हमारै राम रंगु ॥ Basanṯ hamārai rām rang. The love of the Lord is springtime for me. ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਸਿਉ ਸਦਾ ਸੰਗੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ संत जना सिउ सदा संगु ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Sanṯ janā si▫o saḏā sang. ||1|| rahā▫o. I am always with the humble Saints. ||1||Pause|| ਸੰਤ ਜਨੀ ਕੀਆ ਉਪਦੇਸੁ ॥ संत जनी कीआ उपदेसु ॥ Sanṯ janī kī▫ā upḏes. The Saints have shared the Teachings with me. ਜਹ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਭਗਤੁ ਸੋ ਧੰਨਿ ਦੇਸੁ ॥ जह गोबिंद भगतु सो धंनि देसु ॥ Jah gobinḏ bẖagaṯ so ḏẖan ḏes. Blessed is that country where the devotees of the Lord of the Universe dwell. ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤਿਹੀਨ ਉਦਿਆਨ ਥਾਨੁ ॥ हरि भगतिहीन उदिआन थानु ॥ Har bẖagṯihīn uḏi▫ān thān. But that place where the Lord's devotees are not, is wilderness. ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਪਛਾਨੁ ॥੨॥ गुर प्रसादि घटि घटि पछानु ॥२॥ Gur parsāḏ gẖat gẖat pacẖẖān. ||2|| By Guru's Grace, realize the Lord in each and every heart. ||2|| ਹਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਰਸ ਭੋਗ ਰੰਗੁ ॥ हरि कीरतन रस भोग रंगु ॥ Har kīrṯan ras bẖog rang. Sing the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises, and enjoy the nectar of His Love. ਮਨ ਪਾਪ ਕਰਤ ਤੂ ਸਦਾ ਸੰਗੁ ॥ मन पाप करत तू सदा संगु ॥ Man pāp karaṯ ṯū saḏā sang. O mortal, you must always restrain yourself from committing sins. ਨਿਕਟਿ ਪੇਖੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਕਰਣਹਾਰ ॥ निकटि पेखु प्रभु करणहार ॥ Nikat pekẖ parabẖ karanhār. Behold the Creator Lord God near at hand. ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਸਿਉ ਲਗੋ ਧਿਆਨੁ ॥ चरन कमल सिउ लगो धिआनु ॥ Cẖaran kamal si▫o lago ḏẖi▫ān. I focus my meditation on the Lord's Lotus Feet. ਈਤ ਊਤ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਾਰਜ ਸਾਰ ॥੩॥ ईत ऊत प्रभ कारज सार ॥३॥ Īṯ ūṯ parabẖ kāraj sār. ||3|| Here and hereafter, God shall resolve your affairs. ||3|| ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਕੀਨੋ ਦਾਨੁ ॥ करि किरपा प्रभि कीनो दानु ॥ Kar kirpā parabẖ kīno ḏān. Granting His Grace, God has blessed me with this Gift. ਤੇਰਿਆ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਕੀ ਬਾਛਉ ਧੂਰਿ ॥ तेरिआ संत जना की बाछउ धूरि ॥ Ŧeri▫ā sanṯ janā kī bācẖẖa▫o ḏẖūr. I yearn for the dust of the feet of Your Saints. ਜਪਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸਦ ਹਜੂਰਿ ॥੪॥੧੧॥ जपि नानक सुआमी सद हजूरि ॥४॥११॥ Jap Nānak su▫āmī saḏ hajūr. ||4||11|| Nanak meditates on his Lord and Master, who is ever-present, near at hand. ||4||11||
