ਸੋ ਮੁਲਾਂ ਜੋ ਮਨ ਸਿਉ ਲਰੈ ॥ सो मुलां जो मन सिउ लरै ॥ So mulāʼn jo man si▫o larai. He alone is a Mullah, who struggles with his mind, ਗੁਰ ਉਪਦੇਸਿ ਕਾਲ ਸਿਉ ਜੁਰੈ ॥ गुर उपदेसि काल सिउ जुरै ॥ Gur upḏes kāl si▫o jurai. and through the Guru's Teachings, fights with death. ਤਿਸੁ ਮੁਲਾ ਕਉ ਸਦਾ ਸਲਾਮੁ ॥੧॥ तिसु मुला कउ सदा सलामु ॥१॥ Ŧis mulā ka▫o saḏā salām. ||1|| Unto that Mullah, I ever offer greetings of respect. ||1|| ਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਕਾ ਮਰਦੈ ਮਾਨੁ ॥ काल पुरख का मरदै मानु ॥ Kāl purakẖ kā marḏai mān. He crushes the pride of the Messenger of Death. ਹੈ ਹਜੂਰਿ ਕਤ ਦੂਰਿ ਬਤਾਵਹੁ ॥ है हजूरि कत दूरि बतावहु ॥ Hai hajūr kaṯ ḏūr baṯāvhu. God is present, right here at hand; why do you say that He is far away? ਦੁੰਦਰ ਬਾਧਹੁ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਪਾਵਹੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ दुंदर बाधहु सुंदर पावहु ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Ḏunḏar bāḏẖhu sunḏar pāvhu. ||1|| rahā▫o. Tie up your disturbing passions, and find the Beauteous Lord. ||1||Pause|| ਕਾਜੀ ਸੋ ਜੁ ਕਾਇਆ ਬੀਚਾਰੈ ॥ काजी सो जु काइआ बीचारै ॥ Kājī so jo kā▫i▫ā bīcẖārai. He alone is a Qazi, who contemplates the human body, ਕਾਇਆ ਕੀ ਅਗਨਿ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਪਰਜਾਰੈ ॥ काइआ की अगनि ब्रहमु परजारै ॥ Kā▫i▫ā kī agan barahm parjārai. and through the fire of the body, is illumined by God. ਸੁਪਨੈ ਬਿੰਦੁ ਨ ਦੇਈ ਝਰਨਾ ॥ सुपनै बिंदु न देई झरना ॥ Supnai binḏ na ḏe▫ī jẖarnā. He does not lose his semen, even in his dreams; ਤਿਸੁ ਕਾਜੀ ਕਉ ਜਰਾ ਨ ਮਰਨਾ ॥੨॥ तिसु काजी कउ जरा न मरना ॥२॥ Ŧis kājī ka▫o jarā na marnā. ||2|| for such a Qazi, there is no old age or death. ||2|| ਸੋ ਸੁਰਤਾਨੁ ਜੁ ਦੁਇ ਸਰ ਤਾਨੈ ॥ सो सुरतानु जु दुइ सर तानै ॥ So surṯān jo ḏu▫e sar ṯānai. He alone is a sultan and a king, who shoots the two arrows, ਬਾਹਰਿ ਜਾਤਾ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਆਨੈ ॥ बाहरि जाता भीतरि आनै ॥ Bāhar jāṯā bẖīṯar ānai. gathers in his outgoing mind, ਗਗਨ ਮੰਡਲ ਮਹਿ ਲਸਕਰੁ ਕਰੈ ॥ गगन मंडल महि लसकरु करै ॥ Gagan mandal mėh laskar karai. and assembles his army in the realm of the mind's sky, the Tenth Gate. ਸੋ ਸੁਰਤਾਨੁ ਛਤ੍ਰੁ ਸਿਰਿ ਧਰੈ ॥੩॥ सो सुरतानु छत्रु सिरि धरै ॥३॥ So surṯān cẖẖaṯar sir ḏẖarai. ||3|| The canopy of royalty waves over such a sultan. ||3|| ਜੋਗੀ ਗੋਰਖੁ ਗੋਰਖੁ ਕਰੈ ॥ जोगी गोरखु गोरखु करै ॥ Jogī gorakẖ gorakẖ karai. The Yogi cries out, "Gorakh, Gorakh". ਹਿੰਦੂ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਉਚਰੈ ॥ हिंदू राम नामु उचरै ॥ Hinḏū rām nām ucẖrai. The Hindu utters the Name of Raam. ਮੁਸਲਮਾਨ ਕਾ ਏਕੁ ਖੁਦਾਇ ॥ मुसलमान का एकु खुदाइ ॥ Musalmān kā ek kẖuḏā▫e. The Muslim has only One God. ਜੋ ਪਾਥਰ ਕਉ ਕਹਤੇ ਦੇਵ ॥ जो पाथर कउ कहते देव ॥ Jo pāthar ka▫o kahṯe ḏev. Those who call a stone their god-
