ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਹੈ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਰਾਮੁ ਰਸਨਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤਾ ॥ गुर कै संगि रहै दिनु राती रामु रसनि रंगि राता ॥ Gur kai sang rahai ḏin rāṯī rām rasan rang rāṯā. He remains with the Guru, day and night, and his tongue savors the savory taste of the Lord's Love. ਭੈਰਉ ਮਹਲਾ ੧ ॥ भैरउ महला १ ॥ Bẖairo mėhlā 1. Bhairao, First Mehl: ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਜਾਣਸਿ ਸਬਦੁ ਪਛਾਣਸਿ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਜਾਣਿ ਪਛਾਤਾ ॥੧॥ अवरु न जाणसि सबदु पछाणसि अंतरि जाणि पछाता ॥१॥ Avar na jāṇas sabaḏ pacẖẖāṇas anṯar jāṇ pacẖẖāṯā. ||1|| He does not know any other; he realizes the Word of the Shabad. He knows and realizes the Lord deep within his own being. ||1|| ਸੋ ਜਨੁ ਐਸਾ ਮੈ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਵੈ ॥ सो जनु ऐसा मै मनि भावै ॥ So jan aisā mai man bẖāvai. Such a humble person is pleasing to my mind. ਆਪੁ ਮਾਰਿ ਅਪਰੰਪਰਿ ਰਾਤਾ ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਕਾਰ ਕਮਾਵੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ आपु मारि अपर्मपरि राता गुर की कार कमावै ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Āp mār aprampar rāṯā gur kī kār kamāvai. ||1|| rahā▫o. He conquers his self-conceit, and is imbued with the Infinite Lord. He serves the Guru. ||1||Pause|| ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ ਆਦਿ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਆਦੇਸੋ ॥ अंतरि बाहरि पुरखु निरंजनु आदि पुरखु आदेसो ॥ Anṯar bāhar purakẖ niranjan āḏ purakẖ āḏeso. Deep within my being, and outside as well, is the Immaculate Lord God. I bow humbly before that Primal Lord God. ਘਟ ਘਟ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸਰਬ ਨਿਰੰਤਰਿ ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਚੁ ਵੇਸੋ ॥੨॥ घट घट अंतरि सरब निरंतरि रवि रहिआ सचु वेसो ॥२॥ Gẖat gẖat anṯar sarab niranṯar rav rahi▫ā sacẖ veso. ||2|| Deep within each and every heart, and amidst all, the Embodiment of Truth is permeating and pervading. ||2|| ਸਾਚਿ ਰਤੇ ਸਚੁ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਜਿਹਵਾ ਮਿਥਿਆ ਮੈਲੁ ਨ ਰਾਈ ॥ साचि रते सचु अम्रितु जिहवा मिथिआ मैलु न राई ॥ Sācẖ raṯe sacẖ amriṯ jihvā mithi▫ā mail na rā▫ī. Those who are imbued with Truth - their tongues are tinged with Truth; they do not have even an iota of the filth of falsehood. ਨਿਰਮਲ ਨਾਮੁ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਰਸੁ ਚਾਖਿਆ ਸਬਦਿ ਰਤੇ ਪਤਿ ਪਾਈ ॥੩॥ निरमल नामु अम्रित रसु चाखिआ सबदि रते पति पाई ॥३॥ Nirmal nām amriṯ ras cẖākẖi▫ā sabaḏ raṯe paṯ pā▫ī. ||3|| They taste the sweet Ambrosial Nectar of the Immaculate Naam, the Name of the Lord; imbued with the Shabad, they are blessed with honor. ||3|| ਗੁਣੀ ਗੁਣੀ ਮਿਲਿ ਲਾਹਾ ਪਾਵਸਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਵਡਾਈ ॥ गुणी गुणी मिलि लाहा पावसि गुरमुखि नामि वडाई ॥ Guṇī guṇī mil lāhā pāvas gurmukẖ nām vadā▫ī. The virtuous meet with the virtuous, and earn the profit; as Gurmukh, they obtain the glorious greatness of the Naam.
