ਸਲੋਕੁ ਮਃ ੧ ॥ सलोकु मः १ ॥ Salok mėhlā 1. Shalok, First Mehl: ਭੋਲਤਣਿ ਭੈ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਹੇਕੈ ਪਾਧਰ ਹੀਡੁ ॥ भोलतणि भै मनि वसै हेकै पाधर हीडु ॥ Bẖogṯaṇ bẖai man vasai hekai pāḏẖar hīd. The Fear of God abides in the mind of the innocent; this is the straight path to the One Lord. ਮਾਂਦਲੁ ਬੇਦਿ ਸਿ ਬਾਜਣੋ ਘਣੋ ਧੜੀਐ ਜੋਇ ॥ मांदलु बेदि सि बाजणो घणो धड़ीऐ जोइ ॥ Māʼnḏal beḏ sė bājṇo gẖaṇo ḏẖaṛī▫ai jo▫e. The drum of the Vedas vibrates, bringing dispute and divisiveness. ਅਤਿ ਡਾਹਪਣਿ ਦੁਖੁ ਘਣੋ ਤੀਨੇ ਥਾਵ ਭਰੀਡੁ ॥੧॥ अति डाहपणि दुखु घणो तीने थाव भरीडु ॥१॥ Aṯ dāhpaṇ ḏukẖ gẖaṇo ṯīne thāv bẖarīd. ||1|| Jealousy and envy bring terrible pain, and one is cursed throughout the three worlds. ||1||
