ਸਰਬੇ ਜੋਇ ਅਗਛਮੀ ਦੂਖੁ ਘਨੇਰੋ ਆਥਿ ॥ सरबे जोइ अगछमी दूखु घनेरो आथि ॥ Sarbe jo▫e agacẖẖmī ḏūkẖ gẖanero āth. Shalok, First Mehl: ਕਾਲਰੁ ਲਾਦਸਿ ਸਰੁ ਲਾਘਣਉ ਲਾਭੁ ਨ ਪੂੰਜੀ ਸਾਥਿ ॥੧॥ कालरु लादसि सरु लाघणउ लाभु न पूंजी साथि ॥१॥ Kālar lāḏas sar lāgẖaṇa▫o lābẖ na pūnjī sāth. ||1|| Loaded with dust, you have to cross over the world-ocean; you are not carrying the profit and capital of the Name with you. ||1||
