ਜੋਗੀ ਹੋਵਾ ਜਗਿ ਭਵਾ ਘਰਿ ਘਰਿ ਭੀਖਿਆ ਲੇਉ ॥ जोगी होवा जगि भवा घरि घरि भीखिआ लेउ ॥ Jogee hovaa jag bʰavaa gʰar gʰar bʰeekʰi▫aa lé▫o. If I were to become a Yogi, and wander around the world, begging from door to door, ਸਲੋਕੁ ਮਃ ੩ ॥ सलोकु मः ३ ॥ Salok mėhlaa 3. Shalok, Third Mehl: ਦਰਗਹ ਲੇਖਾ ਮੰਗੀਐ ਕਿਸੁ ਕਿਸੁ ਉਤਰੁ ਦੇਉ ॥ दरगह लेखा मंगीऐ किसु किसु उतरु देउ ॥ Ḋargėh lékʰaa mangee▫æ kis kis uṫar ḋé▫o. then, when I am summoned to the Court of the Lord, what answer could I give? ਭਿਖਿਆ ਨਾਮੁ ਸੰਤੋਖੁ ਮੜੀ ਸਦਾ ਸਚੁ ਹੈ ਨਾਲਿ ॥ भिखिआ नामु संतोखु मड़ी सदा सचु है नालि ॥ Bʰikʰi▫aa naam sanṫokʰ maṛee saḋaa sach hæ naal. The Naam, the Name of the Lord, is the charity I beg for; contentment is my temple. The True Lord is always with me. ਭੇਖੀ ਹਾਥ ਨ ਲਧੀਆ ਸਭ ਬਧੀ ਜਮਕਾਲਿ ॥ भेखी हाथ न लधीआ सभ बधी जमकालि ॥ Bʰékʰee haaṫʰ na laḋʰee▫aa sabʰ baḋʰee jamkaal. Nothing is obtained by wearing religious robes; all will be seized by the Messenger of Death. ਨਾਨਕ ਗਲਾ ਝੂਠੀਆ ਸਚਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਮਾਲਿ ॥੧॥ नानक गला झूठीआ सचा नामु समालि ॥१॥ Naanak galaa jʰootʰee▫aa sachaa naam samaal. ||1|| O Nanak! Talk is false; contemplate the True Name. ||1||
