Dor. 1. ਗੁਡੀ ਉਡਾ ਵਾਲਾ ਧਾਗਾ। 2. ਇਕ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਦਾ ਗਹਿਣਾ ਜੋ ਗੁਟ ਜਾਂ ਬਾਜੂ ਤੇ ਬੰਨਿ੍ਹਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। 1. kite flying string. 2. a type of ornament which is tied on the wrist or arm.
ਉਦਾਹਰਨਾ:
1. ਹਾਥਿ ਤ ਡੋਰ ਮੁਖਿ ਖਾਇਓ ਤੰਬੋਰ ॥ Raga Gaurhee, Kabir, 16, 3:1 (P: 326).
2. ਹਾਰ ਡੋਰ ਸੀਗਾਰ ਸਭਿ ਰਸ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉ ਅਲਖ ਅਭੇਵਿਆ ॥ Raga Raamkalee 5, Rutee Salok, 6:4 (P: 929).

ਨਾਮ/n. ਤਾਗਾ. ਸੂਤ. ਡੋਰਾ. ਰੱਸੀ. “ਹਾਥਿ ਤ ਡੋਰ ਮੁਖਿ ਖਾਇਓ ਤੰਬੋਰ.” (ਗਉ ਕਬੀਰ) ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਤੰਗ, ਬਾਜ਼, ਘੋੜੇ ਆਦਿ ਦੀ ਡੋਰ ਹੈ, ਮੁਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਾਂਬੂਲ (ਪਾਨ) ਹੈ। 2. ਸੰ. ਭੁਜਬੰਦ. “ਹਾਰ ਡੋਰ ਰਸ ਪਾਟ ਪਟੰਬਰ.” (ਤੁਖਾ ਬਾਰਹਮਾਹਾ) 3. ਭਾਵ- ਤਦਾਕਾਰ ਵ੍ਰਿੱਤਿ. “ਡੋਰ ਰਹੀ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ.” (ਗਉ ਕਬੀਰ) 4. ਡੋਲ ਦੀ ਥਾਂ ਭੀ ਡੋਰ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਰਤਿਆ ਹੈ. “ਡੋਰ ਕੂਪ ਤੇ ਨਾਰਿ ਨਿਕਾਰੀ.” (ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ੩੮੭).
