ਸੰ. ਯਮੁਨਾ. ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਨਦੀ, ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਵੇਣੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ. ਪੁਰਾਣਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੂਰਜ ਦੀ ਪੁਤ੍ਰੀ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਹੈ. ਇਹ ਟੇਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਇ਼ਲਾਕੇ ਹਿਮਾਲਯ ਤੋਂ ੧੦੮੫੦ ਫੁਟ ਦੀ ਬਲੰਦੀ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਕਲਕੇ ੮੬੦ ਮੀਲ ਵਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੋਈ ਪ੍ਰਯਾਗ ਪਾਸ ਗੰਗਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ. ਹਿੰਦੂਆਂ ਦਾ ਵਿਸ਼੍ਵਾਸ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਯਮੁਨਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸਨਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਯਮ ਦੰਡ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੰਦਾ. “ਰਸਨਾ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਹਿਤ ਜਾਕੈ, ਕਹਾ ਕਰੈ ਜਮਨਾ?” (ਆਸਾ ਕਬੀਰ).
