‘Poorban’ was a Rajput who had two sons, Jodha and Veera. They lived in the forest. Jodha and Veera had rebelled against Emperor Akbar. Akbar attacked them, they fought bravely and died in battle. The bards made a long poem ‘Vaar’ of their bravery in the battle, and they sang a particular tune.
