1. ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਅਨੇਕ ਅਨੰਤ ॥ Japujee, Guru Nanak Dev, 34:5 (P: 7).
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਰਸਨ ਆਰਾਧੇ ॥ Raga Gaurhee 5, 111, 2:3 (P: 202).

ਦਰਸਨ ਨਾਮ ਕਉ ਮਨੁ ਆਛੈ ॥ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ). Raga Devgandhaaree 5, 28, 1:1 (P: 533).
3. ਨਿਹਫਲ ਮਾਨੁਖੁ ਜਪੈ ਨਹੀ ਨਾਮ ॥ Raga Gaurhee 5, 124, 3:2 (P: 190).
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਪਾਇਆ ਨਾਮ ਨੀਸਾਨੁ ॥ (ਹਰੀ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਨੀਸਾਨ). Raga Gaurhee 5, 138, 2:2 (P: 193).

ਸੰ. नामन्. ਫ਼ਾ. [نام] ਦੇਖੋ- ਅੰ. name. ਨਾਮ/n. ਨਾਉਂ. ਨਾਮ/n. ਕਿਸੇ ਵ੍ਸ੍ਤੁ ਦਾ ਬੋਧ ਕਰਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ. ਜਿਸ ਦ੍ਵਾਰਾ ਅਰਥ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਵੇ, ਸੋ ਨਾਮ ਹੈ. ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਭੇਦ ਦੋ ਹਨ- ਇੱਕ ਵਸਤੁਵਾਚਕ, ਜੈਸੇ- ਮਨੁੱਖ ਬੈਲ ਪਹਾੜ ਆਦਿ. ਦੂਜਾ ਭਾਵ ਵਾਚਕ, ਜੈਸੇ- ਸੁੰਦਰਤਾ, ਕਠੋਰਤਾ, ਭਲਮਨਸਊ, ਭਰੱਪਣ ਆਦਿ. “ਨਾਮ ਕਾਮ ਬਿਹੀਨ ਪੇਖਤ ਧਾਮ ਹੂ ਨਹਿ ਜਾਹਿ.” (ਜਾਪੁ) 2. ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਵਿੱਚ “ਨਾਮ” ਕਰਤਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਬੋਧਕ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਭੀ ਹੈ{1260}, ਯਥਾ- “ਨਾਮ ਕੇ ਧਾਰੇ ਸਗਲੇ ਜੰਤ। ਨਾਮ ਕੇ ਧਾਰੇ ਖੰਡ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੰਡ.” (ਸੁਖਮਨੀ)
