ਨਾਮ/n. ਛੋਟਾ ਦੰਡ. ਸੋਟੀ। 2. ਤਰਾਜ਼ੂ ਦੀ ਛਟੀ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਦੇਵੋਂ ਪਲੜੇ ਬੱਧੇ ਰਹਿਂਦੇ ਹਨ. “ਜਿਹਬਾ ਡੰਡੀ, ਇਹੁ ਘਟੁ ਛਾਬਾ.” (ਮਾਰੂ ਮਃ ੧) 3. ਦੰਡ ਜੇਹੀ ਸਿੱਧੀ ਪਗਡੰਡੀ। 4. ਵੀਣਾ ਦਾ ਦੰਡ, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਦੋਹੀਂ ਪਾਸੀਂ ਤੂੰਬੇ ਜੜੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੰਦ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ. “ਭਉ ਭਾਉ ਦੁਇ ਪਤ ਲਾਇ ਜੋਗੀ, ਇਹੁ ਸਰੀਰ ਕਰਿ ਡੰਡੀ.” (ਰਾਮ ਅ: ਮਃ ੩) ਦੇਖੋ- ਪਤ। 5. ਸੰ. दण्डिन्. ਵਿ. ਡੰਡਾ ਰੱਖਣ ਵਾਲਾ। 6. ਨਾਮ/n. ਸੰਨ੍ਯਾਸੀ. “ਕਹੂੰ ਡੰਡੀ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਪਧਾਰੇ.” (ਅਕਾਲ) 7. ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਕੀ. ਦੇਖੋ- ਡਾਂਡੀ ੫.
